Anyone know a good place to host it?

Hmm.. I don't know about where, but there are so many comic reviews already. What would you offer that they don't? I'm not trying to knock you back, but you would need at least one unique edge on the competition, and you'll need to milk it for all it's worth before the competition mooches it offa you.

I've wanted to make one too. So many good comics that deserve recognition.

Your reply is intelligent and infuriatingly correct nightreflection. Honestly what I will bring to the table is my own oppinion on things as well as several different types of reviews. Spoilersless, Chapter by Charpter, and Don't read this till you've read/caught up with the comic in question types. The grading scales I don't want to talk about because if someone took them i'd be sad. I worked hard to make them.
Honestly Jety I'd like other peoples oppinions as reviews there as well.
But I really don't want to post it on DD because the reviews I'm working on right now are for non DD webcomics anyways.

I don't read all that many DD comics anyway. I do read many amazing and some unrecognized ones though. I'd love to review some of them. If you're offering an outlet that could potentially spread the word of them, I'd be very grateful for that.

Absolutely.
Maybe a forum or something to host it... not this one though not fair to Amy. hmmmm....

It depends largely on how you want to portray your reviews. Blog, forum, perhaps DA? They'd each be read differently.

I think a forum would be most useful if we're all doing reviews on it. That way we can set up individual subforums for each of us on the same site and set each of us to Admin level.

I thought of something more... "websitish(?)" review site. More like a, "Here's Today's Review! By: Odin!" and next day (or however often it's updated) "Here's Today's Review! By: Jety Lefr!"
A forum tends to scare people away because they're hesitant to get into conversations with people they don't know, and can't reply to often enough.

you mean the soon to be The Duck? I wonder if we could pull it off as a psuedo webcomic style webcomic review like Barry Reviews webcomics only really reviewing stuff.

I'd totally make it as a comic. Review the comic in comic is an awesome idea.

Hmm.... yesss. that does sound fun. Well we'd still need a name, something catchy. and we may want to set up a unified scoring system... well no that isn't nessesary as long as we indicate who's reviews are whose.

A webcomic webcomic review. Nice. Apparently, this is an endeavor we've each thought of doing, so as a joint project, it could be a wonderfully fun idea. Plus, there's the added bonus of having the other reviewers doing some work, so there's less pressure to update as frequently for the individual. As a webcomic, though, who would draw it (assuming we wanted to maintain a unified look), or would we each do ours separately (For the sake of variety and ease). Jety and I read a lot of the same webcomics, so there's a possibility of combined reviews (which would be even easier as a narrative comic review) And of course, the big question... Who's gonna review CTV first?

We can all review the same comics cause we're bound to have different oppinions. Not saying we'd have to of course.
Sushi does raise a good point of who would draw it? I'm out on that one I have no art skillz whatsoever unless i'm drawing non living things. Reveiws also have a lot of text to them so it may take multiple pages if we go for an art/text balance to properly convey reviews.
Anyways heres a few names I kicked around during lunch today.
-Triad Reviews -Tribunal Reviews -Triumvariate Reviews Triple Trouble Reviews -Trinity Reviews -Magi Reviews -Evil Eye Reviews -Legion Reviews -The Webcomic Review of Webcomics.
I could probably come up with more but I was just jotting down what came to mind in about a fifteen minute span.

I was gonna recommend using a blog site like Blogspot, there's a fair bit of customization you can do there and if I ever bother to post anything in the one I have again i think it's quite nice! A review webcomic sounds nice, I admit I had to cringe at the mention of Barry/Larry here though. That guy's a bully. I was dismayed to find that he was nasty to other DD members, but not shocked. I don't take kindly to backstabbers after I try to give them a leg up on the site and they repay kindness with trying to start a fight with me. Hard to choose from the names, the last one might be too close to Hark and Kev's review comic, but since it's ended I dunno... At any rate I think it's a cool idea, there's not much competition in the way of review comics on webcomics. I just hope it can maintain a positive vibe, for there's too many nasty reviews out there to speak of regarding webcomics. Not saying you should step lightly for fear of bruising egos though I tried my hand out at a review once on DD and was told by one of the mods there it was very good, but that was right before my life spiraled into the darkness. I got a bad review on UIU and it soured the experience up to this day. Not telling youse what to do, but just something to keep in mind (though you guys are super-awesome and nice to me, I see no reason to think you would crush someone's soul like that! ) I'm quite excited about this guys, best of luck to ya! If there's anything you need of me do ask, I may not have much time to accomplish things (I should be sleeping right now in fact) but I'll try if it's within my capacity to help.

Barry Reviews Web comics was good for a laugh if you took his words with a cup of salt on top of that pinch. Overall though I didn't see much reviewing coming from him at all.
Speaking for myself I'd rather not give any web comics an undeservedly bad review but I will give them a bad one if necessary. Fortunately though I don't go out of my way to find bad web comics so I shouldn't have too many negative reviews. And even then I would rather offer constructive criticism over outright criticism.

Oh, the comic itself was ok, it was his attitude outside the comic I was complaining about. I don't want you to think I'm mad over that cameo though, since I agreed to it, even though he refused to tell me what he had planned beforehand (which is why Nick declined his cameo). Apparently, his plan was just to cherry-pick a quote out of context from a tongue-in-cheek rant I wrote years ago on DA and pass it off as his own writing! (well, changing "your" to "my" must make it original now, huh? Haha!) He probably thought I didn't notice, i was just nice enough not to point it out in front of his audience. But no, my issue is that he's a known troll. One of our own DD admins had to say about him: "He deliberately misrepresented that to make an issue of it. He does things like that. He has a long history of it. He is an abusive, bullying, problem user who has a history of bullying other users and harassing them using all sorts of childish tactics." And this was in a thread that had nothing to do with me, but every bit of it was my exact experience with him...therefore his comic has the esteemed honor of being the first and only comic I've ever removed from a favorites list. Trolls make me and I admit, the way an author acts effects the enjoyment I get out of their comic. I'm glad to hear that though Odin (you who has many names, hehe!) you've always been very honest and forthright with these things. Yes, constructive criticism is best. People may not always take the advice, but at least it may motivate them to make a change for the better. I've always made an effort to take constructive criticism to heart (sometimes to unhealthy obsessive levels!) but I've felt pretty free to dismiss the ones that are out of hand or seem to lack an understanding of what I'm trying to do, not that I do this all the time! Sometimes you have to make mistakes for the sake of doing your own thing, though

Yeah trolls suck.
And yes I have many names. So many I've forgotten some of them over time only to remember them again at a completely odd and irrelevant time.
I will say this for Barry. If nothing else I have to agree with his assessment of Plural Bonerage. Don't look at it for the love of God.

And sometimes the troll hits a nerve and before you know it everything is red and you've posted half a page of rant ;D Don't worry, I get bullies in RL and I get the same. Nevertheless, as some comedian said (can't really stand them tbh), when a Brit gets really angry they... write a letter. To be honest Odin, there are so many comics out there that if you read the last ten pages of about five for every review you do you will probably end up with a list of more passable comics than you have reviews.

I once had a huge argument with a troll/bully on youtube about the morals behind posting videos you didn't make yourself. I thought it was a polite debate, but they seemed to think it called for worse than that.
I've read and read 100+ webcomics. (I've reached my goal, huzzah!) So I can definitely bring in some comics that will be variable. I don't want to just do big ones. I like Legion reviews, or Magi reviews. Conjoined reviews would be awesome too if we do some that more than one of us read. Though if one of us wants to review it solo, I don't see why not. That would be good for CTV too. No offense to anyone anywhere, but you two are way bigger fans of CTV than I am. It's awesome beyond all epicry, but I'm unable to wield fandom of that level. Constructive criticism is where it is at. I know several good reads that could be better, but are worth reading anyway. I'll just say here, that I don't want to review anything to say it's bad. Only construction.

nightreflection: I actually do total archive binges and after about halfway though the third I work out my oppinions of the comic. @jety: I like Magi Reviews myself. We still need Sushi's imput on names though. Should we do a unified logo? Also theres comic flow to work on and our own comic avatars (the characters in comic that represent us) overall this should be challenging and rewarding.

Whenever it's my turn to draw myself and if you guys are also reviewing the same comic, you as well. I've done it before for some friends of mine, and featured them in my own webcomic. I'd probably use a different style though for this... several to choose from. Each giving a different feel.
Once I do my self portrait of myself in... whichever of my styles, I'll change all my known avatars (all this one) to that.
(By the way, Magi is the name of my dog! Isn't that amusing)
For a logo... I've no idea yet. What do you mean by unified?

For the comic logo by unified I mean like a banner or something for the comic itself.

... And I'm back. My favorite name suggestion so far is Evil Eye Reviews. And Triple Trouble Reviews. I'm a bit disinclined to use a name with possible religious connotations, even if it's a cool name. Some further ideas for contemplation: Reviews in Triplicate Ternion Reviews Syndicate Reviews
As for the whole topic of nice/ mean reviews, I'm with you guys on constructive criticism, for the most part. However, I won't avoid details that might detract from a comic. Still, a lighthearted type of overlook of the comic is what I'm thinking, rather than nitpicking at the tiniest details (which might actually be hard for me, 'cause of my attention to subtleties). But anyway, an idea for who could draw it is all of us, in that we'd have our own panels (sort of like the news, if that helps express the point).
