See? She's already a step above Verve on the combat scale, at least ^^; (Yeah, she may have challenged Moss when he was out of line, but she was really bluffing. He'd take her apart, easy.)

If I do my RP, Moss'll probably turn a little godmode, but he can never be as tough as Charby. Thats the limit i've set. In this world Charby must always be strongest. And Moss' powers always have a bit of a drawback...
Hey, Shippo-chan, didnt you say that theres a sacred sword out there that sukas father was supposed to weild but was taken by rogue demons and her father was killed? Suka could collect the sword and become powerfull. I dont know the story exactly, but theres a suggestion if you want to make her tougher.

Viktor has NO powers. But... He feels pain a lot less than most... 'Living' folks... And he has a limp, and exceptionally poor balance. AND he's falling apart. Literally...

Shadow only does thing for entertainment. She could really spoil some stories if it was her style. She like watching things do things on their own, only promping when things have calm down for the person. That and her current lack of energy from travalling made her feel verry sluggish. She doesn't like to addmit it, but she has morals that she won't break under any codition. I understand not wanting god characters running about.

Yes! If we could fing the sacred sword, she would become quite a bit more powerful!

Ah, but would that power be awakened within her, or would it come from the sword as a fixed source? Without the sword, would she once more be a 'helpless little demon girl'?

Well, I think the sword would boost her strength, and from working with the sword, she would get stronger.

Alrighty, here she is:
Name: Coal
Species: Night Dragon
Age: about 2500 years old
Appearence: She is about the size of a cat, with black scales and white claws and ridge. her eyes are also black
Abilities: She can change her shape and size within limits. for example, she can shrink to the size of a terantula, and grow to the size of a panther. her shapeshifting abilities are limited to dragon forms. she can adjust her claws, her wings, and her legs to fit her purpose. she doesn't know what other abilities she has as she is still young.
Attitude: Coal is a very outgoing dragoin who makes friends easily. she is also very curious, and at times can be very serious. she can snap, though, if someone calls her a lizard. it comes from people who, used to larger dragons, thought she was a "deformed" lizard and attempted to cut her wings off.
History: Coal had a very happy life in her home by the ocean until a couple of human children caught her one day. caught by surprise, she was unable to escape, and the children took her home. Having come from the mountains of the ice dragons, they thought Coal was a deformed lizard, and decided to "help" her by cutting off her wings(she couldn't shapeshift at this time because she hadn't reached the age that they (meaning night dragons) gain their abilities). Before the children could go through with their plan, Coal's mother attacked them. However, in the process of freeing Coal and getting her outside, Coal's mother was fatally wounded. Depressed by her mother's death, Coal wondered through the forests until she met Melody. Unable to face the memories of her home, Coal began to travel with Melody. Finally gaining her shapeshifting abilities, Coal is now trying to figure out her other abilities.

No. She just knows that Coal does not like to be called a lizard.

Name: Garatrog Alias: Dare Hioto Gender: Male Race: Treeborn Body: Wood Elf History: Upon the creation of their powerfull Treeborn army, the Garu-Tai demons chose one to lead them all. This great general would be one of the Treeborn, equipped with the most powerful magic and trained both in body and mind. He would be male, and have a name unlike the other Treeborn and treated as an equal among the Garu-Tai. His name was Garatrog and he would train the other Treeborn in the ways of battle. Garatrog died in the final stand against the Treeborn Menace but his spirit went into a small carving of a rabbit that he carried in case of his death. Some demons stole his body from the battle and sold his body and all his belongings to various fanatics over the black market. The rabbit carvings nature was discovered and he was resurrected into the body of an unwilling wood elf sacrifice. Garatrog had little trouble manipulating the fanatical demons into becoming his followers. With his band af followers, he managed to hunt down and collect some of the Treeborn that had survived the war and some of the ancient weopons. His army grew more powerful but rumor got out of their return and they were hunted down and ambushed. Garatrog fled the battle and escaped, discarding anything that would have him recognized as Garatrog. But now, with no followers, no magical items, no idea where he is, and no way to survive he is as helpless as a child. Description: Raggedy looking wood elf with shaggy blonde hair. Thin, just under five feet tall. Wears a torn up brown robe made from some unfamiliar demon hide and sandals. Personality: Back-stabbing manipulative power-mad jerk. No loyalty except to Treeborn and Garu-Tai. Smart but not observant, dosent understand another individuals point of view. Greedy, spoiled and generally not a good guy. Powers: None Comments: Sure, he can carry a seed. He wont like it much though.

Heh. He sounds interesting! If he's that much of a jerk, he might even get on Dylan's nerves. (I don't know how he does it, but the boy has the patience of a saint). I say we give him a seed, that way he has a reason for sticking around the group of characters. Unless he has an ulterior motive, I suppose.

Post by Rehiro on Jan 15, 2006 21:02:29 GMT -5
Nope, no alterior motive, and making him have a seed so that he has an excuse to come along would be a good idea. He can meet you guys at the demon market. I have an idea for how he'll meet up with you guys. I can tell you if you want, or you can just put your trust in me and hope I dont screw things up (its nothing big and dramatic, but I could tell you if you want). Is this the CTV demon market?

Well, that's up to you! If you want me to do a particular set-up, let me know. Hmmm... I kinda just imagined a demon market, not specifically the CTV one, but similar. It's a big market, kinda like the main hub for demon activity in the area.

I'll probably just have him be stealing a chicken or something being chased by a butcher with a knife and he'll hide behind one of you guys and be all like "somebody save meeeeeee".

Grrrrrr! i hate when i forget to put something in. Coal and Melody are both vegetarians. Melody because she can't stand the smell of meat(it's a fairy thing), and Coal because she just doesn't like meat.
And Rehiro, your new guy sounds like fun.

Melody would probably tell them both off, the butcher for killing the chickens, and Garatrog for stealing one. And then, if the chickens are dead, she might get sick, and if they are alive, she would set them free. Or she would just get a little queasy and stay silent.

Name: Trandar Bandytail of the Tufted Ear clan of the Rufus Felidae demons
Race: Rufus Felidae demon
Gender: Male
Warning: If you have read all of Moss' backstory, then you shouldnt read the history. Its nearly all cut and paste. The part with Trandar taken out and put here.
History: The Tufted Ear clan came to blows against a mighty dragon in a feud over land ownership. The felidae defied the dragon but the dragon proved much more powerful than they suspected and it killed all but one of them. The one survivor was a fellow bearing the sacred markings of their god, he was Trandar Bandytail of the Tufted Ear clan, of the Rufus Felidae demons.
Trandar believed that he was spared because of his markings and that it meant he was destined to avenge his clan and be a hero of legend.
He did much research into finding a way of defeating the dragon, for though he could sometimes be reckless and carefree, he was not stupid enough to believe he could kill the dragon in a fair match.
He learned of the Tree of Life, and when he found out that the next harvest was only a couple years from then, he was almost overcome with joy. Surely the gods were leading him down the road to his destiny of greatness. He also learned of a place where one of the old treeborn from the war long ago was living, and holding many of the ancient weapons.
Trandar had an odd way about him, he could often know what to do just before it was necessary. His first step was to kill the treeborn, a large wolf-like humanoid, and with his powers, he managed it easily even with far less power than the treeborn. Trandar stole the weapons.
The second step was to find the Tree of Life. Many adventurers were going out to look for it but as a foolhardy quest for adventure, not the great political search for power that had existed just under 100 years ago.
Trandar found it despite the forest demons attempts to stop him and during the harvest he managed to catch one. It was small and black and furry, it had big, white, luminescent eyes, big ears and fangs. He named him Moss because moss could live under the worst conditions and be stepped all over and thrive nonetheless and because the name was connected to its heritage as a forest demon.
The third step of Trandars plan, was to train Moss to fight using one of the weapons he stole from the treeborn he killed. Moss chose a spear with a sword blade on the end instead of a spear head.
Moss grew up with Trandar and learned all his lessons with unbelievable skill and ease. He also learned all of Trandars habits both good and bad and made them a part of himself. Eventually he was ready and he and Trandar headed off to fight the dragon.
Even though Trandar knew he stood no chance, he came with Moss, for he was in his heart, a warrior and it was his family he was avenging and his child at stake now.
Trandar was killed and Moss lost the fight and his weapon.
Appearance: 6'2" tall. Slender cat-like humanoid covered in fur. Light brown and white fur with striking black markings. Wears somewhat extravagant loosely fit battle ready robes. Carries a slender black spear made of an unknown material.
Personality: Arrogant, oppinonated and vein. Basically kind hearted. Clever, ambitious but sometimes too quick to act. Occasionally flirtatious and self indulgent.
Powers: Trained in many forms of hand-held weoponry and hand-to-hand combat. Specializes in the spear.
Coments: Thought i'd put this guy in the free roleplay, since that seems like a pretty random place. There is absolutely no reason for him to be alive but I thought it'd be fun since it seems like there arent any storyline consequences there.
Moss will be as we know him and he wont recognize Trandar. I am planning on adding Moss later on in the story.
