Well, I may consider entering a character, maybe... But I do recall saying I didn't have a name for a character in one of my stories.

^-^ Oh, I might, sometime... When it's more established, and if I can work in a character...
Anyway, if you want to know my character that I can't name, she's a succubus. Except she doesn't like being a succubus, and is genophobic to boot (genophobia = fear of sex). It's a bit interesting for a succubus, yes? I'm trying to think of a nice alluring, sultry, attractive succubus-like name for her--one she won't like much--but I can't think of anything. And it should be able to be shortened to a less attractive nickname that she'd use with her friends. Ideas?

Snake charmer? Then her name can be reduced to snake. Im reading the book shogun, and there is a courtisan named Snake Charmer because the snake is supposed to represent the male reproductive organ. Of course if I met a girl named snake charmer, I might be scared

I'm not sure that fits with the other characters... Their names are (so far) Riptyde, Tango, Phoebe and Biter, Shylock, and Diesel (the last two are foes).

Um, I may have had one too many electrical bananas, but I do like the name Saffron. And you can shorten it! Saff, or Ronnie, or Fro! Okay, maybe not Fro Kudos to anyone who got the song reference.

Ooh... Saffron. I like that name. It does shorten well (She'll probably shorten it to Saffy, coz of the way she is). Thanks very much! Now all I need is to suddenly learn amazing art skills. ^-^

This was my original picture of Moss that I presented to this forum to request him to attend Samricks shindig. I did this one today. Its a sneak peak to the future. The hat and coat dont cover up those markings. He dosent have 'em yet. He'll obtain them in the RPG I will GM if Lillium ever ends named "Treeborn Tales". His feet are cut off, but thats not something that happens. Its a technical error. I ran out of paper to draw on and the computer dealie added a bunch of white at the bottum. Imagine this picture... flipped. Its the 13 coins Moss uses to curse people and feel guilty about. The big ones just closer to the screen, its not gigantic. Its Zokoren the rat person, and the only confirmed kill of the coins. The fact that the backs of those coins are numbered on their backs, means that there are the pictures of the destroyed souls on their fronts. Arent you curious to see who dies? Dont you just wanna flip 'em? Well you cant! Yeah, I might've thought out the pattern with which I would present the coins instead of just stabbing randomly and seeing what happened and they should probably be gold not yellow, and it might be nice if they were all round, but thats life so deal with it. Here are Moss' staff's new and old! The one to your left is the one from the ancient Treeborn wars that Trandar steals and gives to Moss. It'll probably come back into the story eventually. The one to your right is the evil staff that he has now. Well... maybe not "evil". Maybe just misunderstood! Heheh not saying anything more. This really is the best I can draw. It took me some hours to make those three pictures. Criticism welcome, but keep in mind that I dont think of myself as an artist. And by the way, the 13 coins and 100 years by the human calender for every generation of Treeborn may sound kind of superstitious and human, but I do have explanations, just so you know.

Yeah whatever. I'll just say, that maybe the number is not due to super natural resoning, but to regular humanoid super stitious tendancies.

*discreetly posts, hoping the bolding won't get screwed up too badly* Name: Falsing Nickname(s): Fal (preferred), Falsie (will kill if used) Origin of Name: From the Norwegian word ‘Feilsutning’, meaning ‘fallacy’ or ‘false belief’. Age: 723 Race: Doppelganger Complete Explanation of Race: Traditionally, a doppelganger would be the shadow-self that accompanies every human. Only the owner of a doppelganger could see it; otherwise, it is invisible to human eyes (it is also considered to be fatally bad luck if your doppelganger is seen by someone else). Providing sympathetic company, a doppelganger almost always stands behind a person, and they cast no reflection in a mirror. It is uncertain what happens to a doppelganger once its owner dies; some say it disappears, while others say it becomes a malignant ghost and haunts people in their wake. When I heard this description, I went, “mm. Interesting.” Then I froze and wound my mind back up. If humans can have doppelgangers, why can’t other races? Vampires? Werewolves? Zombies? What would happen to a human’s doppelganger once that human was turned into one of the above? So I decided to do what I do best…I made it all up! (Complete description of what exactly I made up is in the history.) Socioeconomic Status: Nomadic wanderer with no status to speak of, except perhaps bloodthirsty killer and slayer of innocent children. Occupation: None. People Important to Her: None. (Gee, wonderful life she has, isn’t it?) Physical Description: Now here’s where it gets tricky. As a doppelganger, she can change her form into any that she thinks suits the occasion. However, she doesn’t switch often, so here are the forms she uses most often: 1.) Big Bad Wolf: No, seriously. Humans are taught from their childhoods that wolves are horribly evil beasts that would love to rend you limb from limb. Fal exploits this mercilessly with her BBW form, which allows her to move through highly populated areas unbothered. She goes around as an oddly large male (yes, male. Shut up and wait for the 'Gender Explanation') gray wolf. Around ‘her’ (let’s say his for now, mmkay?) muzzle, a ruffling of white reaches out, an oblong shape of light fur surrounded just around the edges by a thin layer of gray. While his back is covered with black and gray fur fanning out in waves that continue to his tail, his underbelly and legs are white, long strips of just slightly browner white trailing down his legs and the edges of his belly. His tail is a dusty gray that ends in a triangle of stark black. This does not work on: Pretty much everyone except for humans. 2.) Really Inconspicuous Kid: The problem with being a wolf is that some men with far more bravado than is really healthy in a world that has vampires by the dozen like going out with pointy sticks and bang-guns to kill the big bad wolf. When this happens, she goes with the fade-into-the-backdrop approach, pulling out her grayscale girl appearance. When using it, people don’t notice her very easily, though she can’t quite say why. It could be because she lives up to her grayscale name, her hair a light gray that nearly matches her skin tone, her eyes a gray nearly dark enough to be mistaken for black, the whites of his eyes also tinged light gray. Between her coloration and her weight—she appears emaciated, her arms like twigs connected by little nails that serve as elbows—people’s eyes simply skirt over her, their minds concocting blank space to fill the area where she stands. This seems to work no matter what she’s doing or even if she’s making physical contact with someone, though prolonged contact can confuse them to no end. It’s extremely useful when she’s landed herself in a sticky situation that she can’t get out of. This does not work on: Anyone who doesn’t have very clear thoughts. Animals of lesser intelligence than that of, say, a pig, and drunkards, for example, will see her, though they probably won’t pay much attention to her. 3.) Really Conspicuous Kid: The problem with being a really inconspicuous kid is that doppelgangers are easily bored. They exist (because you can’t really use the word ‘live’ on the shadows that follow people around everywhere) on attention. They crave it. So Fal made up her ‘neon sign’ form: a short, demonic girl with light purple skin, glowing tattoos in the form of swirling red marks on each cheek beneath the eye (one per cheek), big black shiny wings that she can’t even use, giant green curved horns that have this horrible habit of getting in the way of everything, a triangle of red stretching from her lower lip to her chin, brown hair held up in two pigtails, and blank white eyes. She’s kind of hard to miss, hence the nickname ‘neon sign’. (She also uses this form to be extremely immature in.) This does not work on: Well, it’s not supposed to do anything except get her noticed, so…er…blind people? 4.) Goth Kid: A new form conned just to make her look ‘normal’, this features a Charby-sized pale girl with shoulder-length black hair and black eyes. This is the base structure for her. As she comes across new people (vampires, fairies, werewolves), she usually adds of loses appendages to fit in better. This does not work on: Anyone who knows what the norm for each race is. (She may look the part, but she doesn’t act it. Blame it on no close contact with any species but her own since the sixteen hundreds.) …and that’s it for her appearance. Whew! This has to be the longest one so far. Moving on: Weaknesses: She’s easily bored, has the attention span of a fly, lacks all sense of responsibility, sets unrealistic goals, exaggerates, has no relationship skills of which to speak, has to burn a lot of energy to stick with any form but ‘Goth default’ for any prolonged periods of time, etc., etc., etc. History: Fal was your normal doppelganger—the nameless shadow of a teenaged girl; she had a normal routine of comforting the girl and pulling pranks on people she didn’t like much. Then, one day…VAMPIRES CAME TO TOWN! No, seriously. A normal (because I don’t think elites were that common in the late 1200s) vampire came into her little village, got hungry, and ate the teen for dinner, leaving her behind to become a VAMPIRE! Fal didn’t take too kindly to her mistress being dead and all, but, having no personality whatsoever, she went with the flow…for all of ten seconds. Then she discovered that she was no longer bound to the undead girl and began meandering elsewhere. She was still pretty weak—just the slightest bit stronger than normal shadow—but devouring the souls of a few (dozen) children cured her of that problem rather quickly. For a while, she was a soul-sucking fiend, allowing her to amass a gargantuan store of power, until…she got bored. (No, I’m serious. I told you doppelgangers get bored easily.) Upon the epiphany that, yes, she had the capacity to be bored, she realized she had soaked up personality traits from all the little boys and girls she had mercilessly devoured. Since these were all little boys and girls, she was quite mischievous, easily bored, lacked all sense of responsibility, was easily bored, had unrealistic goals, but most of all, was easily bored. So she roved the countryside some more before getting even more bored than before, because, really, there’s only so much to do in the world, which is a horrible revelation to have when you’re immortal. So now, she seeks out something she’s never had before: friends! (She stole a TV set once, and these ‘friends’ seemed to be awful fun. However, if anyone ever attempted to lock her in the broom closet with a boy expecting them to end up making out passionately, she would have them killed, friend or no.) So that is where our story picks up today—a powerful spirit with an infantile personality, desperately seeking out the one thing she has yet to get hopelessly bored with. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be her next playmate…or her next meal… Gender Explanation: She was the doppelganger of a girl, so she says she's female. The reason she uses male for her wolf form is because male wolves have a tendency to be slightly larger and slightly more agressive than females (well, unless the female in eating or taking care of her pups). Pseudo-Clever Plot Point: Somewhere along the lines of writing this, I thought, ‘hey, wouldn’t it be funny if that girl who used to be her mistress was actually Adria?’ Then I froze, thought some more, and chortled evilly beneath my breath.

Yay, it's in the right place! Oh, if you read Dorphin's description, he tends to think of things in terms of food. So "tasty" is a way of saying "She sounds like she'd be interesting to get to know" and/or "Hm, I've never had doppleganger before..."
