[glow=red,2,300]Aftermath 5: From Two Different Worlds, A Call To Return[/glow]
“Diary: activate. The end result was as expected. Despite my efforts to fit in I am not capable of such a thing. I will return to my home dimension with what I’ve learned in this world. As soon as I figure out how to do that.” Zerachiel was sitting alone in the forest talking to her wristwatch back in her military garb. “I have no regrets about my leaving or my time here. I do however feel that I really need to take the tracer off of this outfit before I return home. Former Lieutenant Zerachiel out.”
“Hmm… they’re still following me… let me see… one, three, four tops. No matter. Emotional bonds are worthless. Always have been. Isn’t that right father?” Zerachiel looked up at the sky a couple drops of salt water fell to the ground alone.
Behind the tree Zeno, Tony, Mye, and Hex were talking amongst themselves.
“She already knows we’re here we should show ourselves.” Mye rolled her eyes.
“Ja. She is knowings out positions.” Tony nodded.
“We need to be careful she’s probably not in a good mood.” Hex shrugged then thumped Zeno on the head. “What did you do to upset her like that?”
“Nothing I swear!” Zeno thumped Hex back. “All I did was tell her I wasn’t completely comfortable around her. She’s too friendly.”
“Zeno, she hads der hots for youse.” Tony slapped his face.
“What really?” Zeno tilted his head.
“Yes you lucky dope.” Hex crossed his arms. “So what’s she doing out here.”
“She’s moving.” Mye waved to get the boys attentions.
Zerachiel was up and running on deeper into the forest as midnight settled. She came across the craters of the wasteland that was once the ash field and stopped. “If only I were lucky enough to have a space rip open here. I’m just not that lucky though. Or maybe I’m lucky enough that it wont show up.”
Of course saying that caused a rip in space to open. Zerachiel looked at it and sighed. “Like I didn’t see that coming. Well I shan’t look this gift horse in the mouth.”
Zerachiel walked over towards the portal but stopped and looked back at the group hiding behind a nearby tree. “You can come too if you want. Or is it that you want to stop me? Do hurry, if I don’t have a definitive answer I see no point in staying.”
“What do we do?” Zeno looked at the others.
“What do you do you mean.” Mye shook her head. “You’re the one that likes her.”
“Yeah but…” Zeno hesitated.
“Oh for the love of.” Hex got up and looked at Zerachiel. “Stay as a favor to your father!”
Everyone stopped dead in his or her tracks stunned by the statement. The portal closed slowly as Zerachiel sat down on a nearby rock. “A commendable effort Hexavier but I need a better reason than that. There’s still plenty of portal for me to jump though.”
Zeno finally lost it and ran at Zerachiel in an attempt to stop her but ended up tackling her into the rift. Hex, Tony, and Mye ran in after them thoughtlessly.
