I think the first anime-show or comic book- I actually liked was Inu-yasha... I don't think that any female of the human species can resist the adorable fluffy ears of doom!!! But my favorites right now are Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto. And Lupin, and Cowboy Bebop, and maybe Wolfs Rain, and at one point when I was very stupid Dragon Ball Z, and when I was even younger and more stupid Pokemon, and a REALLY long time ago I had the original W.I.T.C.H.es book. Yeah. I'm ashamed too, I've only had 8 favorites between the ages 6 and 14. Go on, smite me, you know you want to.

I have exhalted you ^_^.
Don't be too down on yourself. Most people start off on Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Digimon or Pokemon... they then usually move on to the next level (Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, or Naruto). From there interests vary to a great degree as the enthusiast discovers new and relatively unknown (to most of the 'noobs') anime.
So. Do not be ashamed ^_^ We are all somewhere on this scale of learning and obsessiveness. <3

Expounding on that, there is nothing to be ashamed about in Digimon anyway. =3

I started on Sailor Moon, DB and Samurai Pizza Cats when I was little. Then I didn't watch any until one fateful day when we (my sister and I) found this tape at the video rental place and said "Hey, this looks like a cool cartoon!"
It was Slayers. We were hooked.
Oh, and me and my sis watched the premier episode of Digimon until we'd memorized it. Sad, ain't it?

Dumb, maybe, but impossible not to love. Oh, and Cardcaptor Sakura, I only like the originals...in japanese. Plus, they dumb everything down! It's so stupid. *spoiler ranting deleted* Heh, right then.

I take it the Swedish subs aren't good? I love Naruto with my entire soul. Rock Lee is so inspiring! And Gai-sensei! I admire Gaisensei so much, I am training a girl with my life! I call her my "cute student" and I am her sensei ^__^. I teach her everything from the Gokkyaku no jutsu to the handjive. It is so cool ^__^;;

O.o Another sensei!
One of my best friends has enrolled herself into what she calls 'the way of the Scarecrow', and I'm apparently teaching it to her! Of course... I get to make fun of crappily dubbed animes and movies... So it's all good! ^^

Nobody will admit to being my student. I have to hunt them down, make friends with them, declare my dominance and then secretly teach them my mad skills while they're trying to overthrow me and claim the pillar as their own.

I've never had a sensai, outside of school, I mean. And, except for successfully corrupting my little cousin, I've never really taught anyone.

I am a barbarian sensei. Tought by no one. Converting the weak and making them strong. Mwahahahaha. No, im sorry, that was all terribly over dramatic, but if I do say so myself *looks smug* i've done some pretty impressive stuff back in the day. I feel like i've gone into a rut though.
I've never had anyone I really looked up to. Never. I always thought that people were stupid. I look at the world with a new perspective now, and realize the necessity of some people that I might have resented and seen how my agony may bring profit to others (not talking about bullying or anything, I have the impression that people are scared of me). But when I was just a child, before I could talk, I remember thinking that I hated my parents and that I wished that I was in control because I was smarter than them *sweat drop* that sounds like a developing dictator.
Anyway, I was never given lessons in martial arts, so I wouldnt have a sensei in the literal sense. Well I did get three lessons in tae kwon do once a long time ago and I *ahem* broke my first board on my second lesson on my first try. But thats all beside the point.
Anyway, im completely untrained and fairly uneducated. All my powers come from observation, experimentation and life experience. Im nothing but a barbarian, if the leader of my barbarian clan.
Im sorry, I sound vevery annoying in my above post. I appear to be bragging, but I guess thats how that works. I also dont come off vevery well as a person... oh well. Im posting it.

Well, as we seem to be getting a little off-topic *cough*. I'll ask another thought-provoking question to get us back on topic. (me? thought provoking? right...)
Which manga-ka (manga artist)'s style do you like the best and why? I'm not talking because you like the storyline or it's your favorite anime... I'm talking purely art style of the manga-ka.
I'll start with mine:
My favorite manga-ka is Obatai Takeshi (the artist of Hikaru no Go and Deathnote). The reason I like this artist the best is because his drawing style is so realistic. Although it is still 'cartoonish', the folds in the clothing and the detainling in the shadow and backgrounds are almost realism. For anyone who's read Hikaru no Go, you know what I am talking about. This artist puts a lot of detail into his work. I appreciate that greatly and strive to have my artwork as detailed as his.

My favorite is Rumoko Takashi, she is my big inspiration and made me start to draw - it started with a incomplete manga and ended with me drawing manga.
Isnt it kinda intresting how one person that you dont know about suddenly changes something in your life that much?

Favorite style? Masashi Kishimoto-sensei! I adore how he can blend realism and manga in an awesome way, how you can see where the action is going perfectly... I love it so much!
I agree about HIkaru no Go, but I really like Naruto's style better.... I also like alot of video game graphics, like Final Fantasy X, and Fire emblem...
