Dont we all atleast like one anime or manga? those beloved big eyes and humoristic expressions? ot those fantastic stories that could be as special as a individual! There are as many diffrent types of animes/mangas as there exist people, It can be corny, romantic, Creepy and realistic!
even since the day I saw my first anime movie I was stuck, It was Silver Fang. The heroic and sad story about a Akita dog in the japanese mountains, I was about 10 years old then. same time there where sandybell, sailor moon, and more!
and i remember opening my first manga book, It was the beutifull works or Rumiko Takashi - Ranma ½. Ive got much inspiration from her, ne day i would love too become exactly like her! ( well, eberyone can dream cant they ?)
What was your First anime? Or the first Manga you ever opened? or wich is your favorite style? Discuss anything related to the Anime Manga world that has struck us this hard!

That is also why I was listing my favorites... the list of what I have seen is waaaaay too long for a forum post. It could probably fill at least three or four pages X.x... And for the record, Hellsing, Trigun, Chobits and Angel Sanctuary are my top four. Ahhh Angel Sanctuary. (These are my brother's top four as well O.o... We have a lot in common ^^;

I'll stick a few in... These are for all time, whether or not the series is still aired/published, or if I haven't seen all of it, or only have a few DVDs, or anything else. It still deserves mention. Keep checking the list. It's sure to be added to as I come up with stuff.
In no particular order... Anime: Medabots Digimon Yu-Gi-Oh! Zatch Bell! One Piece Naruto Tenchi Muyo! Inuyasha Monster Rancher Mon Colle Knights Beyblade CardCaptors Shaman King AKIRA Samurai Pizza Cats
Manga: Saiyuki Saiyuki Reload Zatch Bell! PhD: Phantasy Degree Tokyo Mew Mew Tokyo Mew Mew A La Mode Chrono Crusade One Piece Death Note Immortal Rain

Ooo Zatch Bell~! I have only seen the first few episodes of that but it was hilarious. Does it keep going like that?
Another hillariously random anime is Jungle no Itsumo Hare nochi Guu! Long name.. but oh so entertaining XD

Yes, it does. Sometimes you get a serious episode--and sometimes you get an episode with no plot development at all. Loads of recent episodes make me laugh, and one also made me cry. So there you go.

This might take a while. First anime: Either Sailor Moon or Dragonball. I was pretty young when they were first out in the US, so I didn't even know they were anime. Same goes for Samurai Pizza Cats, although that came a little later.
First manga? Well, the first one I bought was Demon Diary. Got my entire high school anime club hooked on it! ^^
Fav Anime: Slayers Yu Yu Hakusho Kenshin Trigun Kaleido Star L/R Licensed by Royalty Naruto One Piece Full Metal Alchemist Gundam Wing G Gundam Samurai Pizza Cats Dragonball (just the original, mind you!) Sailor Moon (Uncut, thank you very much)
Anime Movies: Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies *cries*) Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke) Spirited Away
Fav Manga: Demon Diary Pet Shop of Horrors The Demon Ororon Juvenile Orion Desert Coral Tactics Tramps Like Us (don't collect this one, though. A friend hooked me up) Chobits (The manga is soooooo much better than the anime) GTO (yeah, I know, but I came by it by accident and it's really kinda good.) No Need for Tenchi! Slayers (only a couple, they're kinda expensive)
Pseudo-Manga: The Sandman Death: At Death's Door (spinoff of Sandman) Courtney Crumrin Gloom Cookie X-Men: Evolution (Yes, they made a comic) A Midnight Opera (My newest baby, undead rock stars and werewolves! Who could ask for more?)
As you can see, my taste runs towards the unusual, bizarre, and little-known titles with a hint of horror. I dislike most romances. They're too... mushy =P

Mmmm, Neil Gaiman. I know what you mean, though, I only have the first book and I can't find the Dollhouse anywhere! Try comic stores and poke into the dark corners of you local book store's manga section. They can get buried under all the other Marvel books.

The first anime I ever watched was actually Pokemon, back when I was a brat. The first manga would be Naruto.
My favorite animes would be... Naruto, Elfen Lied, and Full Metal Alchemist. And I don't really read any other mangas than Naruto. Occasionally I buy Manga Mania/Shounen Jump magazines.

Bleach's beginning artwork displeases me greatly. It looks like it was drawn with a ruler. Yes. Even the faces look like they have been drawn with a ruler. I wouldn't have wanted to watch/read this anime/manga to begin with... but my brother coerced me into it.
Apparently Bleach's plot is "very in-depth and interesting" .... It's your generic anime plot *Groan* It took until episode fourty eight for me to get remotely interested in the storyline ... and at episode 59... I am -still- thinking that to pour the real thing (bleach) into my eyes would be less painful than to watch this anime.
However, I promised my brother that I would watch all of it ... so I am. He's convinced me to do a Bleach Pair for Otafest and Fuyu Fest (Due to the simplisity of the costumes.. I've accepted. But he has to make them to learn to sew ^___^).
Bleach. Bores. Me. The artwork is horribly linear, the characters are two-dimentional and the plotline is boring. Not to mention the costumes are overly-simplistic, and there is zero eye-candy to keep me entertained through the boring bits (all of it).
At least Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children had eye-candy to keep me entertained when they weren't in their 5 min of plot. (Yes.. that movie was an hour and 25 min of eye candy. With five min of plot.)
To conclude. I still dislike Bleach.

I cant keep with you guys very well. I watch some anime and read just a little manga, but I only know about half of the things you guys just said. Im just some loser poser person who dosent want too say anything much more on the topic for fear of embarrasing himself.

Even Final Fantasy Buffs have to admit, that movie had very little plot. It was mainly eye-candy.
And you probably could kill me @.@... I am not very strong. But of course... the repercussions of doing so would probably be a little bit painful for you ^_^. <3 So Shall we call a truce?

Oooo preeettty. Now I want to see more of Saiyuki. (Only seen the first few episodes).
And yes. I have played FF7 a bit... it irritated me to no end. (As do all FF games. Make. A. "FINAL" fantasy. Yes. The LAST one. *grumble*) <- not a final fantasy fan in any meaning of the word. The graphics to FF7 did not entertain me, nor did it's 'plot'. I find it very irritating to wander around the 'world' leveling up my characters *Grumble*. (Hey waitaminute... didn't I -just- kill you? DIE! ...again. *five min later* ...Dude... I just killed this! STAY DEAD!)

Ive only watched like 4 episodes of bleach, I have a very hard time getting any anime really.
One of my newest favorites is elfen lied, I just love it! i would do almost anything to get the manga o.o
I love the art expressions and symboöism in it, its sad though that many people rushes and screams ins pornografic etc etc... sure it can be a bit but not so much so it disturbs the story

I forgot to mention Sayuki! I must suffer for my failure... I've seen a lot of it, but the DVDs my friend had were Chinese. So their English subs were... lacking. It got pretty bad. As in, by the second season I couldn't understand anything they were saying.

I'm too in love with the characters to watch the anime.(does that make sense?) I've read all the books that are out. sadly, I only own Saiyuki Reload 1. I've stolen the rest from my friend a couple times.
Ryodragon, yeah, I love all things Final Fantasy. Yeah, it can be irritating, But I'm weird that way. So, to each their own, eh?
