Thanks for posting this Ogrefairy! Yes, it is a tad on the pricey side sadly cafepress and zazzle and the like charge up the wazzoo for their stuff,(especially dark shirts since they have special ink) and we only get a few bucks out of it. The only reason we even started the shop up was because we're in a really, really tight money situation at the moment and getting behind...worse of it, the taxes just came in and we gotta cough up $1000 in a month T_T We're working on more stuff and hopefully we can put up something a bit less expensive, we won't see a dime of it until like 2 months though On the brighter side, I'm open to suggestions if you have any, I've got a bunch more stuff to post up there and I know that some of youse are probably about as broke as we are at the moment! ;D

Brilliant! I'm going to have to tell my sister about this. My brother, too, except, maybe later. His birthday's in November. Now we have a plan. Sure, it's a mite expensive, but it's supporting our Amelius, yes? It's worth it. Besides that, it's CtV. I'm going to show the shop to everyone I've ever introduced to Charby. Quite a few of them like internet shopping.
Which shirt did miss Wolfy order?

I like this, sad thing is that i won't have any money until christmas since i'm saving up to buy equipment for my bedroom.
But i'm thinking about putting up a store like the one in cafepress and maybe i can get some extra cash, but they don't use pay pal and the likes so, cashing them checks is an issue.
You could try setting up a shop on DevArt and sell posters and custom greeting cards.

Hello Ms. Amelius. This is a silly question but i'm really curious to know... is all the CTV and UIU swag from cafepress.com made by you or does a company do it for you. If it is done by you then bless you because thats a lot of hard work! To keep up with all those demands! Plus...will we be seeing an CTV or UIU plushies in the near furture?

Cafe Press does the T-shirts. We've tried to print some stuff at home using iron on stuff but the quality wasn't very good. One good wash a lot of times and the home stuff fell appart so for now Cafe press is the only way to ensure an acceptable level of quality.

I wouldn't say that, they are just not something we have time to create. Typically the only time we make plushies is when we go to cons. When you are just sitting behind a table all day waiting for people to talk to you that gives you plenty of time to make things like that.
Maybe if Charby gets picked up though we could afford to have some produced and shipped proffessionally or perhaps even get them in stores.

oh I had no idea Ms. Amelius went to cons! Does she sell her comics there and other paraphernalia or is she there for strictly signings and what not? I hope to one day see her at NY Comic Con.

NY Comic Con is one our dreams but it probably won't be this year.
We really don't have much to sell right now. At cons we typically sell art work, art requests, pipe cleaner figurines and the occasional plushy.
In future though we hope to have comics and buttons and a few other things too.

Doh! I'm such an idiot! I've been living here in NY for so long now I keep forgetting it's not as convenient for others to attend Comic Con. I think that Comic Con and the NY Anime Festival are the only really nice things about NY though. If you and Ms. Amelius ever attend NY Comic Con please let me know! I would love to get autographs. ^.^ But as far as merchandise goes I really like the stuff that's up right now, I guess i'm a sucker for plushies though. I did order 2 UIU shirts but they haven't arrived in the mail yet. Darn my impatience and Cafepress. lol

Plushes are probably only going to hand made for the immediate future and probably only rarely.
Thanks for supporting UiU!

Heh if I have money i'd buy her one. Think of it as the equivalent of buying a favorite celebrity roses. ;D I always wonder if Ms. Amelius comes onto this forum and reads any of it. Well I know she said she was sick. I hope she's feeling better.

Yup, i'm feeling better! (I lurk in my own forum, how sad is that?!) I should really get around to posting more in here!
I did just buy some material for plushy-making, so when those are done I might sell them, depending on how they turn out! Sometimes I make things and then get too attached to them, I might end up making an army of Charbys and then be like "nooo, I can't sell them, they're my frieeeends!" *hides self under plushy pile* I got some goose feathers though and I like the way they are shaped, and I might incorporate these into Charby's hair should I get the time to sit down and make some plushes...I've been dying to do it for days now, but every time it's like "well, you oughta finish the next page first" and then I spend hours fixing up inks on the computer 'cuz my hand wobbles when I draw by hand lately! *shakes fist* some day though, I will own one of my shirts, oh yes, some day!
My big dream though is to get some figurines made. Preferably poseable action figures maybe with ball-joint limbs, but that's dreaming big, I'd probably end up with statuettes....I could go for that as long as they are made of a nice sturdy plastic instead of that fragile stuff they make the most lovely of anime figures out of! I want them to survive multiple posings or falling off shelves or something!

Oh wow...I feel so honored to actually get a response back. I feel really special... and happy. Thx Ms. Amelius. I know i'm weird...try to ignore me with that. lol. I just get really happy when I get to speak to someone so talented. ;D I kinda understand what you mean about the lurking though. I'm sure if you went all over the place talking to your fans it would get crazy! Everyone would would want to talk to you all at once. That's like a celebrity giving away their phone number. It would be a crazy overwhelming frenzy! *calms down* lol As far as plushies go I know I would buy them! I'm a sucker for plushies. (Now that I think about it as a little girl I never liked Barbie dolls...just plushies, i'm a disgrace to females everywhere...>.> oh well!) My b-day passed in May and my bro ask what I wanted and I said "Fernando Fritz plushie!", welp not much could be done about that. So I settled for UIU shirts instead. (which still haven't arrived! darn you cafepress! must I wait any longer!) And then the madness didnt end there! I read CTV and now i'm Charby and Company crazy! lol. But I think every fan loves to represent there fav comics in all different ways. So all types of different merchandise would do great! I think the only thing I could make are earrings and different sorts of jewelry. I wish I could help you out in some way. ^.^ My hand shakes and aches(I didnt mean to rhyme...im so lame) when I apply pen/pencil on the paper too hard. It's really painful and annoying! Maybe you should take some time to rest. I'm sure your loving fans want you to not be in pain rather than be in pain just to keep up with CTV and what not. I know I do. And remember theres nothing wrong with dreaming too big Ms. Amelius! ( I can soooo imagine a Charby action figure!)

This mention of plushies has intrigued me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter (by which I mean exchange money for afforementioned plushies.) If in fact you do only sell them at cons though, I am most likely in for a long wait, since I doubt I'll be attending any cons in your area anytime soon.

I now have the entire t-shirt collection (minus the "Spider Girls" shirt which is only available in a woman's t-shirt TT^TT) and I have received much positive feedback, inquiries, and compliments. If the designs that may have been removed (due to poor sales) were put back up, I would buy them (hint hint). But yeah. I love my new attire. I'll post pictures when I can.
