Do you know how nice it is when crawling up in your bed, feeling the confortable warmth and the dimmed ligths in your room. When you can feel that youre whole body is relaxed and that you have the feeling that as fast you close your eyes would fall asleep? I love that emotion, but it has it downers too. Ever felt REALLY tired and couldnt sleep at all? warm milk, hot showers or even a busy day wont work? you just find yourself counting the roof tiles and hoping that youre going to fall asleep? and when you are bored of that you start to read something hoping that would make you more tired.. but no, the evil sand man wont help you out, and soon you look at the clock and its 4 in the morning. When realising that you wont go asleep you get nervous and soon start thinking ' oh no, how shall i counter this? i got a long school day today! ' you turn in bed a while and soon you fall asleep, just to wake up by either a clock alarm or your mother that calls on you? you can feel how drowsy and heavy your limbs are and youre forcing yourself up from the bed just too feel the cold floor, and later the extreme cold nose from one of your dogs ... Dont you hate such days? i do, ALOT!

Yeah, when your tired but cant sleep and your stressed about tomorrow and it feels like theres a knife in your shoulder. Or when you reach a half asleep half awake state, but your half dreaming something terrible so its like your stuck in an unrealistically real prolonged nightmare and you cant quite grasp reality or slip into unreality and your helpless to do anything about it. I get those.

My problem with sleep? Once I awaken, I can't go back to it until the next night. Which can be annoying.

I sometimes have those, especially if I'm falling asleep in class or something ^^;
My big problem is that when I wake up in the morning, I can't get myself to move. The message from my brain gets intercepted somewhere on its way to my limbs, so I tend to waste a lot of time.

Lucid usually means easily understood or of sound mind. In this context I do believe it means dreams that you are half-awake in? Or possibly a dream that is amazingly real? Sometimes even I don't understand the english. (Momo is going to kill me for this later X.x).
Shippo? What type of lucid dream were you refering to?
And to be more on topic... I too have been suffering insomnia lately x.x..

I can only wake myself up from nightmares. It's weird, as soon as I start getting scared, I remember that it's a dream and can choose whether I want to wake up. When I was a kid, I had a dream involving a creepy ghost-slime thing invading my house when I was being baby-sat, and my baby sitter was all "We can't escape!" And I said "Well, you can't, but I'm leaving!" and wke up >.O weird...

I can barely remember anythin' I dream, so I wouldn't know either way...
And that sucks you can't sleep, Zolah. I'd give suggestions, but I've never really had much of a problem in that category.

One time I had a dream that I knew was a dream and I was standing in a field and there was a... lemonade stand giving free lemonade and I was all like "wow, im dreaming but my thought process is untouched. Im thinking normally. I CAN DO ANYTHING!" but I couldnt. In fact, I could only walk around in the long grass. Eventually I tired, and decided to wake up... but I couldnt. I tried and tried and tried but I couldnt. I concentrated so hard, but I couldnt open my eyes. I felt my arm lift in the real world and come down with a thud. I could feel my eyes role into the back of my head when I tried to open them. I went to the lemonade guy and I was all like: "YOU GOTTA HELP ME STOP DREAMING MAN!" but then he walked away and disappeared. It felt like I was stuck in there, with nothing to do. The sun beating down on me for hours before I finally woke up.

Well, lucid dreams are when you are controlling you. I have lots of convention dreams like that. All of which seem real to me until I remember that Katsucon is two weeks or something from now.
