Heh. It's not like I'm going to not read this, I read everything anyway, and this stuff's awesome. I would appreciate it if you didn't pet me though.
Very cool character designs from the looks of things.

[glow=red,2,300]Chapter 16: Preparing for the End[/glow]
“It’s complete as promised.”
“And as promised I’ll give you this back and tell you how to return home. Simply plant the thought in one of your churches followings to summon you. I hear them praying to you it’s very simple to communicate with them I had an entire following go and slaughter an entire forest of your dark elf like creatures for kicks.”
“Very well then good day to you ser. May you learn a lesson from this eventually.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Well it’s been a kick in the pants Kavonn but Tabby’s coming and that means boring lectures and I’m going to scram now.” Zeryn was bouncing out the door.
“Wouldn’t it be a good idea to talk to him?” Kavonn followed after her followed by a, still not happy, Rosemary.
“Nope. He’ll just lecture and say I need to go home and return his granddaughters souls to him and stuff like that that doesn’t make any sense.” Zeryn ran out the door right into a tall figure. “And he’s already here. #@$%ing great.”
“Zeryn give me my grandchildren and you can stay here with your worthless little friends.” Tabiris lifted Zeryn from the ground by the collar of her shirt.
“I see. Your true colors Tabiris. You truly are as rude as she had portrayed you to me when we met.” Kavonn glared at Tabby.
“My debt to your kind is paid. I will get home.” Tabiris tossed Zeryn aside like a rag doll. “You don’t know what it’s like to be the slave of that girl. Well never again!” Tabiris revealed a red gemstone with a crack on it; blood was dripping off of it.
Of to the side Zeryn was holding the side of her face that she wore the eye patch on. She was writhing in agony, her face smeared with blood.
“Slave? She avoided you whenever possible.” Kavonn sighed.
“Indeed. It took her a year to resurrect me after I died. Anchored to that spot with nothing happening. I was so bored. When she finally resurrected me she just left not telling me anything.” Tabiris kicked Zeryn in the side.
“So that entitles you to hurt her and rip out her eye?” Kavonn pointed his staff at Tabiris’ heart.
“Eye? This is the anchor of her power over me. And it’s mine.” Tabiris pocketed the ruby. “Now Zeryn give me my granddaughters or I’ll destroy your friends.”
“I released the lock on their binds already you fool. Sarith and Sharsim are right in front of you. If Ka doesn’t join you it’s her choice. You stupid God of free will.” Zeryn coughed up a large quantity of blood.
A ruby and sapphire were sitting at Tabiris feet. He took them waving his hand to open a silver portal of energy behind him looking at Zeryn. “You’re coming too.”
“Oh is she?” Rosemary jumped at Tabiris and tackled him into the portal. The portal closed behind him. “Only I get to make that girl suffer.”
“As kind as that was I think I’ll leave now. I need to do something. Something important.” Zeryn pulled herself up and disappeared into a shadow nearby.
“Kavonn that girl is insane.” Rosemary shook her head.
“I know that’s why she needs our help. But she’s gone for now so we must get stronger. For whatever Zeryn is so worried about.” Kavonn sighed.

This record is the only accurate known log of the war that has brought us to this sad state of existence. I, Kavonn, intend that if all else at least one copy of this log survives.
It was soon after Tabiris left with his godling granddaughters that the natural pace of life began to shift advancing life to the next stage far quicker than should be. The demons separated into factions for a reason none could explain. The others and I even felt compelled to leave the cabin and find our own. But something was there, veiling the call awakening our better senses.
Demons of Shadow and Light all but vanished as the great tower of the rebel armies came into existence, a self proclaimed army of light. At the same time various races began to implode upon themselves in a twisted continuum of deceit and decay.
At the point things couldn’t get any weirder a long dead face knocked on our door. Leonard, a wolf elf victimized by an incarnation of Tabiris, came to bear tidings to Mye. The only thing alleviating him of suspicion was his cohort, Zeryn herself returned to us after months.
They didn’t say much they only gave us a few magical trinkets and some firearms for an unknown reason along with dark news of the various clans of demon that were now terminated or missing. The information they had was quite unsettling but fractured and divided at best.
Whether they were deliberately hiding information or not is uncertain. Leonard’s very existence was proof that Zeryn had sped up to meet these changes and so I resolved to do the same.
Unfortunately the strange sickness of infighting did not spare our humble dwelling but was gone in a day. Regrettably there was plenty of time for things to take a turn for the worse.
Somewhere in the confusion a shot was fired by Zeno and Mye was felled but her condition is currently uncertain as she was instantly absorbed into the darkness leaving behind a message of blood reading “We, the Bastion of Shadows hereby claim all the dead the impending war will bring.”
Now in a state of severe depression several of the cabin residents began give up on continuing anything. For a while it seemed as if time around us had come to a halt. One year after the start of this cursed time humanities dominance over the world was removed practically overnight.
A series of blasts that appeared to be a cruel marriage of magic and machine spiraled throughout the world ripping nearly everything from existence. The world became a dull listless land. The very life force of nearly all flora and fauna were removed from existence. The skies themselves have been turned to eternal storm clouds.
Despite the large amounts of land around the world almost all life has gravitated to the remains of Kellwood. This place has a certain quality that calls us. The many walks of life have spread into several colonies based not on race but ideals. Sadly, nobody realized just how important these factions would be until the war resurfaced. As promised all dead vanished into the darkness of the Bastion of Shadows. Long skirmishes dragged all over the ash plains that remained of the forests of Kellwood.
The war finally came to an end in Samrick’s palace under what should have been a peace treaty. As previously stated it was here that the conflict was finished, but there was no winner. The mastermind behind the global catastrophe now revealed to be Olaf was wounded and forced to flee. However, Samrick drew his last as he fell for Olaf’s trap of peace shrinking down to shake hands.
This left the land in shambles as colony officials and founders attempted to restore peace to the world. However internal strife from the various colonies, now referred to as factions, was not to be sated by a mere end of conflict. Though even that temporary peace didn’t last.
Using the banners of known violent factions Olaf managed to once again make his enemies implode upon themselves leading us to where we are now. Three major warring factions hold the majority of the land labeling other factions at neutrals. This battle was short however as Tony and his men made use of strategic weapons to obliterate Olaf and his kind once and for all.
Despite the end of conflict the land remains divided by ego and hatred. We hope one day soon that this shall come to a close. Perhaps soon we will find a way to mend the factions as one. Zeno’s Freedom Fighters, Tony’s Loyalist Faction, and all the others as one again.
In any case that concludes the recounting of the war.

To this I do hold that you should all take the time to think about this. Why did i just summerize part three of the story and post it? Cause I felt like it XP This is perhapse the single longest section of story and yet it could be so much better. I think. if i could find someone who would visually render the story for me XP

*blink* ... Well then. Um... wow. That does explain quite a few things... dang. What is this Bastion of Shadows? Was that Olaf? And how did they manage that thing with the bodies?
|
|
|
Post by tabiris on Aug 19, 2008 22:12:28 GMT -5
questions questions so many questions I'm afraid you know as much as the average character does now though XP as for how they manage to do the thing with the bodies. Think matrix universe sky's theres always shadows somewhere and the bodies are swallowed into their dark depths
