Yes, it is true, CTV has to find a new home, the idiots as GSH deleted DD for nonpayment! ALL of DD! FOR NONFREAKINGPAYMENT! THE #$%$&% site was down for God's sake, how the hell were they supposed to pay for anything? Those irresponsible idiots! GAaahh! Much condolence to those who had comics there and Dylan (who ran the site) who's whole project just went down the tube. I am miserable. It has been replaced by a blogsite that I can't make head or tails out of. argh. I am lost.

Also, I just realised... All the comments... All your wonderful explanations and stuff... =\ Geez.
Yeah, HTML bites. I can't get a grip on even the basics. I'd ask my HTML-savvy friends, but they're all busy with school and the holidays and junk like that.

I wish, but the only one who had the addys to GHS was Dylan himself. If you type in drunk duck's adress you'll get the tblog page with the description of what happened on it. I could go to keenspot or something, but I hear there is a waiting list from heck...oy I just don't know what to make of it

This just plain sucks! But just because drunkduck is gone doesn't mean that charby is gone. We still have options. For now you can put up comics for us loyal forum-goers to read until we find a website for charby. I have a non-ideal suggestion but it might work. You could start up a website at www.communityzero.com and advertize CTV on other websites.

Ames, I'm so sorry. I know some HTML coding if you want my help, and I also learned a fair amount about advertising on search engines. I'm gonna do it for my friend's site, I can do it for CTV's new location as well, if you like.
for now, I'm very, very sorry. That suck's SO much. and and...*goes through her comic folder* *weep* They're all gone!

Alright, I've come up with a few options so far, I thought I'd let you check them out. SmackjeevesJelly Creationsthere were others but they seemed exclusive to fantasy comics or some other thing. Actually, I meant keenspace...which has a waiting list. I don't think I have Keenspot caliber work, I'd likely be waiting for a while on both anyway. I just want something with a comment system that I can actually afford and won't hurt the eyes to look at.

*cries* Amelius... keenspace takes weeks to get up. I just got my password from them ... and they STILL are making me wait a few days until validation. Here's a question though - Do you have the comic strips backed up somewhere? In case your computer crashes you should probably have a backup copy on a CD somewhere to ensure all your beautiful work does not get deleted for good X.x...

The....the sadness....the horror.....the ANGST.........(goth comic!) The beautiful comics....gone. I hope you had those backed up, Ames....we will miss them in the meantime.

I'm sure some of us could help with that, Ryodragon... I mean, I have a copy of every comic Foomy, Phineas, and Fay appeared in on my hard-drive (like, even if they just appeared in the background)... Coz that's what fans are for, yeah?
What I'm really saying is, if you need us for anything, Amelius, we'll be there in a flash. You kept us very entertained with your beautiful art and involving story... We'll do anything we can to keep that story going. We wanna pay you back any way we can for sharing your stuff with us. Right, guys?

Its kind of ironic... Tyler dies the same day that Drunk Duck dies.

I did not take that into acount Tai. Thank you for bringing that up. In the meantime, HTML is not that difficult... and if you are having problems, Amelius, I would suggest the program DreamWeaver (Very simple to use).

I do know someone who has a lot of my archives saved, but how I'll be getting those is the question. I have about 42 disks with around 2-3 comics on each of more recent comics and ramdom favorites as well. Just finding the right place for it is the isssue. Please, opinions on the two sites I suggested? JC looks good for site customization, while SJ looks a little plain, but SJ looks like it has more of a comment system than JC....

oh, some good news! a friend of mine just emailed me and said he might be able work on a site for CTV, we just have to wait until Christmas break for it ^_^ (that would be the bestest present ever for me ^_^) I'll send you right on over to it as soon as things get settled in. I realize I have a lot of work to do, with the comics I did crossovers with gone, I'll have to replace them with the old storylines. But worry not those will get a special place too ^_^ I'll likely post UIU on one of those freesites though.

Charby getting its own site on Christmas break? BEST PRESENT EVER!
And really, what's this about "not keenspot caliber?" Really, Charby is one of the best comics I read. And I read a lot of them.
.....Really, like 50. And that doesn't count the ones I don't check regularly or the ones that have finished.

I agree with Daybreak. CTV is probably ABOVE keenspace caliber. Honestly. Keenspace's service is terrible. For a service that boasts 'automation'...they are stuck in the stone age. Example: Changing your password. You fill in the form... and then wait until 2am for it to actually change. Fantastic.

I have the entire 2nd? crossover (the 3rd party fantasy one), saved on my computer (along with the first 200 pages of the archive), so I could send that if you'd need it. Unless having to replace crossover stories is mostly a matter of copyright of course, in which case feel free to disregard this post Good luck

I have a few comics, some of my favorites.
Mostly, I know some good HTML and advertising techniques.
Also, I like Smack, it seems like a good place. I looked around a bit and a few other DrunkDuckers have moved in. Plus, Jelly appears to be moving to a new host site.
If you still wanted to use one of those temporarily.
