I'd say a cute music, like peppy j-pop... or some cool menacing instrumentals for the "OSWEGOOOOOO!" moments...

You mean like that band behind the Hihi Puffy AmiYumiShow? This just premiered on a Canadian channel, but I don't know how much I can take...
I am really going to have to think this over...no one band or style seems right.

Well for sure I can name off a few songs that have directly inspired storylines and characters!
Hector was developed from the lyrics to "Who will save the sane?" By Type O Negative (Crawl on by, with a fake tear in your eye, and think: "wasn't he strange?") Of course Heck has fake tears painted on his face and is typically judgemental of anyone who isn't goth like him. Also their song "Black No. 1" (you wanna go out cuz it's raining and blowing, but ya can't go out 'cuz your roots are showing, dye em' black) helped make him.
Menu's song is "Bad moon on the rise" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Howlin' at the moon" By the Ramones also.
"my best friend's girlfriend" by the Cars...should be pretty obvious there ^_^
"Psycho Killer" by the Talking Heads, mostly because of the line "I hate people when they're not polite" which is both Charby and Hexe's mantra.
There is an upcoming comic that was going to have a theme but I think it would be better without, but for now I'll say it is by the Doors. If I say the title it will give it away though ^_^
There's a lot more songs but I can't recall them at them moment for some reason...

Hmm, now i must check if i can find those songs. i always think music is a great way to get ideas, sometimes i get a whole othet perspective of songs without really listen to what they mean... ok that sounded bit weird but you maybe understand?

Odd, I now have a strange mix of 'Bad Moon Rising' and 'My Best Friend's Girlfriend' stuck in my head. I remember when you mentioned 'My Best Friend's Girlfriend' in you comments, and I burst into song. For some reason a couple comics make me think of the song 'Someday', by Nickleback. Don't hate me for that.

Heh, for the lab scenes I keep hearing 'Attached at The Hip' by CKY. Not a band for the easily disturbed, mind youse.
I keep talking like Tony. On accident.....It's fun though.

I just add a random 's' on the end of some of my words, and it doesn't hurt that I'm german, so whenever I let my guard down, not only do I talk like Tony, I roll my 'r's in the back of my throat and have a slight accent.

That is so cool. I don't even know what a german accent sounds like!

Very gutteral and choppy. It's not a pretty, fancy, language.
