The comic where Zeno "wiggs out" in the dream put the fear of god into me. Whenever I think that Amy can't get any better she proves me wrong!
This time I was in awe at Amy's storytelling through her art. (Don't worry Amy; it wasn't confusing at all.) And I saw the same again with the next comic. The colors used in the dream scene reflected the emotions perfectly- the shilouetting of Zeno when he killes Mye is great. The minimalist background helps insure us that this is in the dream world. Everything is perfect. We know instantly that it is a dream. We know instantly that it's Zeno's dream. I was also Impressed with the hands. That's some good drawing and shading there.
Basicly All I wante'd to say is that Everything is perfect. It really draws you into the comic, and hooks you into those emotions that Amy is trying to display. The only weakness that I've ever seen in this comic is that the storytelling can sometimes be overdone... if that's the right word... that Amy maybe tryes to explain too much, or maby fits too much into one comic or whatever... I don't know... But just as sure as the art increased to the point of being purely amazing so I see too other aspects increasing to an equal level. Instead of being just great, this comic is improving (constantly) toward epic.
In years to come I will be telling my children how I was a fan of Amy back before she was famous and rich.

Make that the last THREE comics. Todays was incredible! It really did make me laugh out loud! And the colours and shading were amazing, especially fay's eyes.

Pssstr... Don't tell Amy but I don't really like Fae that much. Like I was just saying a moment ago in anouther thread, I'm super picky. I have to finish everything before moving on to the next thing. Fae only has 1 wing. It disturbs me. If I only had one wing I probably would have ripped it out by now. I've been known to get a kinfe and literally cut out warts and really diffucult pimples because they just disturb me so much.
But that's just crazy ole me.
I also have this obsession with things being symetrical.
Boy am I super duper picky.

Wow, thanks! I really appreciate the compliment, I've been trying my best to improve! And I try to explain stuff too much because I get a lot of questions...maybe I should try to be more pateint, eh?
And hey, that's ok..like I've said before, most of my own female characters get on my nerves. I can certainly say I don't relate to Fay that much! ^_^

You sound a lil OCD there, Soap. But that's not too bad of a thing, I guess.
You're right! It's sooo good. And you're right about the cramming, also. It's not that there's too much info in the strip, it's because there's so much background stuff going on in the world that comes into play and it's kinda bewildering. But I trust Amy will tell us what we need to know, right? (^_^) It's more realistic that way anyway, though. Mystery!

Forgive my igorance, but what does 'OCD' mean?
Obsticle course demon? Orange clock department? Over callus doggy? Over counter drugs?
Hey that last one is actually plausable...

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It basically implies that there's this one idea that just invasively keeps coming back into your mind, coming back again and again until you do something about it

Yeah it must be tough. Famous symptoms include washing your hands over and over until they're sore (like 60 times a day or something crazy like that), doing little routines you MUST do to function (counting the books on the shelf whenever you enter the room), and other stuff like that. Vampires are OCD (remember the ones where Charby had to count the seeds or candy or whatever when they fell on the floor?). Of course, severity depends on the person. It's only a problem when it gets in the way of a normal, functioning life.

I have to admit that that Fay's single wing bothers me too...I also like symmetry. Maybe it DOES have something to do with OCD since I've been told I have obsessive/compulsive character traits. (That is, when you do things like make sure that if you walk around an object, you have to walk back the same way. Milder version of actual OC disorder.)
However, I really liked how Fay was drawn in that strip...I just try to ignore the missing wing.

hey I used to do that.
as a child I would do something like make my hand move around in a circle and then I would have to do it again in the opposite direction so that it was the same.

Hmm everyone has their own OCDness in a way. I can't think of a plausible thing I've done that would count, though. Hmm I wonder if there is a cure? I haven't really read that much on the subject... And since it fits the occasion:

Maybe there is link between OCD and Charby....after all he is supposed to be OC as well. ;D Or a link between OC behavior and artists.

Well yeah Charby does have OCD... Uhm, I'm sure some of the great artists were OCD. I think it's pretty common. Human brains are wired strangely, huh?

hehe, I have a bit of ocd once in a while myself. For instance, I work on this comic in my basement, and the computer is right across from the stairs, right? Well, I cannot work when the door to the stairs is open. Simply cannot. it bothers the heck outta me, it's not like I'm agrophobic or anything but the light shining into my peripheral vision just irritates me to the extreme! I always know when it's open without looking too, it's that bad. plus my other family members are very aware of how much it bothers me and yet still continue to open it and leave it that way! It takes time out of my work because always must run up the stairs and shut the door (and it doesn't shut quite right anyway) this has always bothered me in cartoons when someone walks in and doesn't shut the door. Or I'm just weird.... that is always a posibility!

I've always hated that in cartoons too! But I only get distracted by auditory stuff...the visuals I can tune out.

Oh man I've got that door problem too, in a way. When I'm at my computer the door to the room is at my back and if it's open it creeps me out. Plenty of times my parents have been mad at me for having it closed all the time but since I'm on my computer all the time it can't be helped. Even though I told them why they still get mad.
It's probably because I don't like being snuck up on and I don't know, I feel it open at my back. I wonder, is that OCD?

ah yes, fear of being snuck up upon? I have that fear of the door behind me to the next room, I feel like things are watching me at times. (paranoid!) mostly I like the door shut because the litterbox is in that room(not smelling good!)...and my favorite cat died in the litterbox a year ago. not that I'm afraid of a ghosty cat peering out from the dark at me or anything, it's just that whenever I go to shut that door I swear I see her sittting there (it's always a box or bag or something) but it was the same way with my other cat before her. I'd swear I had seen her in a mirror behind me or something....right now the door is open only a crack and it does unsettle me a bit but I'm too lazy to shut it all the way right now. I also prefer doors closed because I'm like the only person in my family that isn't half deaf (quite literally for my sister and father, I think my mother just simply ignores me ^_^) and the noises they make upstairs irritate me as well. they get mad at me for shutting the door because they claim the cat cannot get down to the litter but the door doesn't even latch do that is no excuse other than the cat is lazy!

My cats have no problem at all opening unlatched doors...I even had one (RIP Simon) that could turn doorknobs! Now, THAT was scary if you were on the inside of room and the knob on the door started turning!

I have an *ahem* pet rat that can operate a doorknob (but I have to hold him up to it)

I can't stand sitting in a room or standing or anything facing away from the potential people who might attack me. I hate classroms because you have to sit around the desks and it's JUST WRONG. I always have to sit in the courner or at least the back of the room but if I'm not I just can't concentrate. And if someone is sitting next to me and talking to me I have to lean further back then them (I have no perifiral vision because of all my hair D: ) and it's all crazy and stuff.

Classrooms indeed SUCK. Especially when people sit behind you and there are just some people that love to annoy you when you can't sense it. Bleh.
