You know what I live in north Ohio, right near the lake. I am sick and tired of anything that has to do with snow or ice. I have busted my butt three times already in the past two days falling on ice. Winter can kiss my mixed butt. So instead, let's talk about summer! Summer is my favorite season for the fact that there is no snow, no ice, it's hot-almost swelteringly so-and I get to wear shorts. So what's your favorite summer memory or just your favorite thing about summer. I'll start!
My favorite summer memory happened about four years ago. I was thirteen and I spent that whole summer with my best friend. I used to live down town so everyday while we were at my house we'd go up the street to the town square and sit by the fountain. We'd take our shoes off and dip our feet, we even had a water fight once. We were very bad children though and had a habit of taking the money out and spending it on McDonalds-we worked that off though. We were in walking range of just about everything but the mall. We'd go up to the library or down to the nature park. We went to my grandma's to help with her day care or we might just stay home and watch some movies. That summer belonged to us! The only downside to that summer though was that two teenage girls walking around in booty shorts and-in my friend's case-tank tops attracted a lot of attention from older guys. I can't even count how many times we have been harassed by people but of course nothing really happened, just a whole bunch of stupid guys hollering. Other than that, I loved that summer. Catching fireflies, watching 4th of July fireworks, staying up all hours of the night and sleeping all day. That was truly what being a teenager was about back then.
And that is my favorite summer memory. Now it's your turn! -Oh and my birthday is in the summer too, so yay!-
