Yeah, I noticed that she was there too. I would assume she was there for the party, since practically the whole kingdom showed up, but it's also possible that she was there for another purpose. Maybe to be tested by Samrick, so as to assess if he wanted to hire her?

I would imagine that it's a perk of being a member of the Bureau as the memebrs of it are... above taking orders from Samrick shall we say.

Maybe it's just a perk of being Yiska.

Yeah, I can totally see that. I bet she dragged her buddies down to the party and crashed it. I'm sure that THAT would impress Samrick!

Actually, that's entirely believable. She probably didn't even have an invitation, either.

The bureau was probably extended an invitation since they deal with Samrick. Given his covert operations, they were probably on the clock too.
What I am curious about is what the bureau actually does. It sounds important enough to be included in the plot eventually anyway. They obviously offer under-the-table services, but what, I wonder, is their main goal. It can't just be making demon dollars can it?

That'd be kind of an awesome day (night) at work. 'Tonight, your assignment is to go to a party.' And there was much rejoicing. Unless they were there to make sure that the guests obayed the 'no killing/eating other guests' rule. Then that wouldn't be so much fun. I doubt Yiska would like to chapaerone.
Indeed. I'm guessing what they do is big, very big, and takes a lot of effort, since what they were asking Kavonn to do was taking so much of his energy it was killing him... Sounds important and doomsday-y.

Samrick may have given them an invitation as a show of good will, though secretly wanted to hire another member. The bureau probably knew this and let them go, but made them work while there. Meh. who knows?
But yeah, that's a good point. Although it's possible the bureau only wants to make money, what ulterior motives might they have? Any guesses?

Considering the main venue of the Bureau appears to be obtaining things like informaiton at this juncture in the story it's not at all an unlikely outcome that the bureau member were subjected to going to samricks party to collect information on the various social latices of the kingdom.

That also seems probable. Perhaps we'll find out in the comic?

Of course we will.

We will if the reason they were there was more than just for the party.

if not then we know that it was for the party therefore it will be answered in comic even if it isn't.

I guess so. But if it was just for the party, then it may not be important enough to mention in the comic, but the fact that she was seen before being introduced does make it seem more likely that it will be brought up.
