I have problems with the anatomy, which are very bad! Mostly with the shoulders and arms and hips. I just can't seem to get it right, and end up making them TOO skinny. I have to say I RARELY draw males, and don't plan to until I can draw female well enough to b looked at. Those are my problems:
Let's start with the NECK and SHOULDERS:
First of all, the neck doesn't look right, like it's not connected with the body and head. It seems like it doesn't have bones inside and can move any way it wants to. It's the same with the shoulders.
The part where the BACK, BREAST and ARM meet:
Well the breast looks like it's forced to be connected to the arm. The back seems to come OUT of the arm, instead to be connected to it. I once again go back to where the breast and the arm meet. I always seem to put it downer than it's supposed to be, and I think that's why the breast looks "forced" to the arm.
The HIPS:
The only thing I found difficult to draw the hips, it's where they start. In this pic it looks like the hips aren't there and go straight to the legs.
ELBOW to the TIPS of the FINGERS:
Well first of all, the elbow is connected in a strange way to the forearm and seem boneless. Then, it looks like the forearm is directly connected to the hand, without a wrist. After that, the hand doesn't have the shape of a hand, and the fingers look like a lizard's paw, with pointed nails and such. One thing good to know when drawing fingers (I hope I'm not wrong) is that they are linked to each other around the carpals. I always forget that and seem to think they are linked to each other starting from the skin between them.
The KNEE, CALF and LEG:
The knee should NEVER look like it's directly connected to the leg and no calf. Bad idea. But I still do it OTL;;;
I've started a habit of drawing this way, and I find it hard to grow out of it. Can someone help me?
