Heylo Folks! whats up? Old CTV regular here, wanted to check if this place was still alive or if people have left? checked the statistics and most posters and seems like most old CTVers are gone.
So how is everyone? anything new happening?
Myself ive been busy with life, gone to art school (not that im much better and such ) and moved ( just a bit further south in sweden, nothing exciting ).

Still almost dead, tends to have its ups and downs. It's not a bad place if you haven't read all the history - lots of art and background info. So I doubt it will ever die proper. But yeah, needs new stuff. And no doubt there will be a major event sooner or later (Hopefully not another duck crash) that will need the forum. Ideally it needs regular updates if it is going to hold an audience. Perhaps untexted pages or maybe something us fans can do. But I'm hopeless with schedules so I'm a bit nervous to try anything.
I've been around for almost a year now, and there still isn't much that holds a candle to CTV, Although I must admit, I still prefer the older stuff. Maybe I should try bribe Ame into scanning her hand-drawn stuff, or beck the ferrett. I know they have been kept aside coz they aren't as funny. But they'll probably still blow a lot of the other crap on the web away.
I'm hoping the poster PDF goes well. At least then they've got something else they can can use for income. They'll need quite a bit of money and experience in what does and doesen't make money if they are going to make money of CTV without selling their soul. I think it would be a tragic day if some company started calling the shots and, instead of marketing Charby, changing Charby to suit the market.

Wooo! Hey Zolah!!! (hugs) Yeah, I'm going to try and spark this thing back to life once more. I tried directing people here a few times, but I should probably post some stuff in here that people wanna look at too eh? (hehe, I've been using it all for vote incentives instead!) Nightreflection, good idea...I'll post some beck and other stuff in a thread soon

I think my last login was 2008 xD
Most people need some candy to join up with things, im quite familliar with it xD im a moderator on a makeup forum ( wich is kinda weird since it is not my cup of tea at all xD ) and i think the only reason the forum is up is because the moderators keep it alive by answering unanswered threads, making contests, stir up mini drama due to rule regulations. Simply keep things intresting xD
PDF? what have I missed? lol
Amy: Heya Amy ^^ long time no see :3
Hmm, you should perhaps make a shiny button? like you did with charby swag? the lil link is a bit hard to see xD and the google only direct you to some sort of brittish channel? -_o

I second the forum link. It took me a while to notice it at first.
A future idea could be to have CTV, Cwen and any other comic of yours and Nick's on the same forum. That way you'd get a lot of cross-traffic. But that's a lot of work, you should probably get a dedicated CTV or at least Amy and Nick site first.
Zolah: Amy said she might be selling a .pdf for christmas with the old vote incentives in it. Not sure how well it's going though.
Success or no, you should leave the option up. It's not like it will cost you anything to keep open. Perhaps have a list of things like that on a web page that you can sell to us rabid fans. There will always be new ones of us. You don't need a shop, just tell people to add a note to the paypal donation or PQ you with what the payment is for and you can email it manually.

Along the lines of what NightReflection was talking about, there are a few possible thing that could bring in some more people to the forums. The most effective would be to post the next pages' pencil versions or perhaps just one panel. Not only will it attract fans who just can't get enough, but the speculation it would induce could very well bring some life back, especially if it were every week. Something like the CQ incentives. And, of course, any old unuploaded pages would be a good motivator too. I think what people would want the most is something similar in some way to the comic itself. Also, I third the shiny forum button idea.

The art (unpublished pages, sneak peeks, what have you...) is a big attractor, but the forums need to start moving again. It's a huge deterrent to someone who is thinking of joining conversation to realize that the conversation died a while ago. The only reason I'm here is the fact that a: hope springs etearnal, b: I'm patient and c: the fact that Amelius herself was one of the last to post. (I've never been on a board where the creater of the work him/herself is so active. Or even on the boards at all.) It seems like no one's here anymore, and my paranoia is whispering in my ear, saying that I'm only posting useless words in an abandoned corner of cyberspace... (my paranoia is a drama queen)
It's scary to join, or even post if there's only one (or maybe two or three) people doing it. Everybody needs to pitch in!
I would love to start talking about CTV with other fans if they were on the boards again. Please come back!
