I make things up for when I RP. o.o I was not really sure what to put this, so...I hope this is the right place. I would put it in RP but I'm not sure if it fully fits there, yar. But it is semi random. I'm posting this to tell about certain terms I use in RP, or, IF I ever write it, my story which involves a dying world, seemingly cursed/blessed magical items, and the resurrection of a deity.
Sombalta, Somebalton: A word I made up (I think). Its the world where most of my creatures and characters orginate. There are exceptions. For example, Fallen Towers is not anywhere near Sombalta, and is a dimension in of itself, much like the Cosmic Villa, Forlorn woods and others. Sombalta is a rather large world which includes its moons, and has many different spieces living on it, humans, elves, and dwarves being the oldest three mortal races living on the world. There were others but they were mostly wiped out in an event known as the changing of the gods. There are several newer spieces on the planet, these being made by the 8 primary gods of the current parathion, or having migrated from other worlds.
The Changing of the Gods: Sombalta was a very different place long ago, once ruled by tyrannical deities that fed off the suffering of the mortal races and spirits that lived there. Many of the older species that lived apon the world served the old gods loyally, often offering up their own as blood sacrifices, or helping them gather the "lesser" races for their amusement. For countless generations the mortals and spirits suffered under the old gods rule, either serving them for a chance to suffer less, or living in eternal torture. But then one day some mortals started to pray. They did not pray to the old gods, they just prayed, to anyone, anything that was out there and could help, perhaps to the universe itself. They prayed for a change....and it was answered....by the birth of Chaos and Order, who in turn took the elements and formed six more gods...Chaos took Fire, Water, and Wind, while Order took Darkness, Light, and Earth.
After this came a great war, where the Old gods and New fought. Many of the spirits and Mortal races joined with the New gods, fighting against the Old gods and those loyal to them. It was a long fight that lasted 200 years, but due to infighting (some which was caused by spies of the new gods) within the ranks of the already loosely united old gods, the New gods where able to cast down the Old, sealing them away into countless prisons and banishing their most loyal servants. After this, some spieces where wiped out during the way, others left, while some remain in hiding to this day.
Chaosin: A creature that either worships the Sombalton god of Chaos (Among other things such as death, reincarnation, time, percerption, change, undead etc) or was created by Chaos and serves it.
Harvester: A spirit, or usually undead that gathers the souls of the departed. Most are made up of mortals that are working off crimes, sins, and evils they committed in life. For some this is a reward since being a harvester comes with various kinds of powers. And some where made Harvesters because Chaos happened to be bored at the moment and thought it might be amusing.
Living Scarecrow: A type of undead/elemental created by Chaos. Most take the form of a normal Scarecrow, made from straw, and usally carry a lantern with a flame inside and usually are animated by spirit spiders living inside of them. Those without the lantern usally have a flame denoting their power somewhere on or in their body. Most are harvesters who gather souls with unfinished business, but there are exceptions. Felix is a harvester Scarecrow, his flame being inside of his skull. Currently he is of the lowest rank having an ice cold flame and specialises in gathering the souls of the murdered.
Glow Berries: Exclusively found in the realm of Fallen Towers, Glow Berries and glow berry products are what make the place famous. For some unknown reason, glow berries will grow no where else, while the vines have been successfully transplanted in various environments. Few know of Glow Berries, as the inhabitants of Fallen Towers (and its neighboring realms) fear that if word gets out, a war may break out.
Glow Berries are interesting because they have the power to replenish and boost magical and spiritual energy, and in fact if someone eats too many their body will waste away, while their spiritual energy will increase until it consumes them whole. However Glow Berries do have their uses, their uniqe taste making them good for cookies, the taste being sour and citrus at first, which melts off and is replaced by a sweet chocolate flavor. They lose some of their "risk" when cut up and cooked. They have even been made into weapons of a very destructive sort. Lastly, the third main use of Glow Berries is Glow Berry wine, a drink so strong that a single sip could knock an unready person out. Glow Berry wine is usally used by mages, priest, and shamans in rituals that involve their astral forms leaving the body
So ya. Thats it for now. If this thread does not get locked or complained at, I'll post another. ^.^; Again, sorry if its wrong for me to post here, ya. Oh and Glow berries glow with a blue aura. Ya.
