Yep. Felt like a little randomness.

Well, since I just got Kingdom Hearts II yesterday, I'm kinda rooting for 3Ds. I never knew that Kingdom Hearts could be improved in any possible way... And then here I am with a whole new kind of awesome. GO KHII!!!

=3 Technically, aren't all games 2D, as they're on a flat screen? =3

Ooooooh... Just got an idea... Holographic games!! Do they exist? I've never heard of them. But I guess it's very possible.

Really? He does mine, too. He just has this awesome, etheral vibe and he's a really great singer...
Don't worry, I know we're not talking about Gorillaz. I'm a big fan of 2D games. Heck, I was raised on click-an-pointers and Sonic platformers!

2D games are a wonderful thing. Sadly, it's getting harder and harder to find them these days (except on the handhelds, and even that's becoming more uncommon...).
Personally, my favorite (I think, heh) would have to be Castlevania, Symphony of the Night.

That game is made of God Win Gold Dreams and Happy all together. Also Castlevania Harmony of dissonance and Aria of sorrow. I'm still trying to get down of sorrow.

Gosh, I would do anything to play my old 2d computer games T_T I know, oh how I wish I could play shadow of the beast, hero's quest and battle chess once more. Curse you confusing amiga emulaters! Ooooooh... Just got an idea... Holographic games!! Do they exist? I've never heard of them. But I guess it's very possible. I don't think so, but there are some freakishly futuristic games out there. For instance, I one went to playdium (giant arcade a few towns away from me) and guess what I found. A fighting game that analyzes your shadow so that the character on the screen does the fighting moves you do! I was really good at it by the way.

All games, regardless of the graphic technology used to create them are indeed two dimensional. This is because they are all shown on a two dimensional screen. Regardless of your position relative to the screen you see the same image. It is flat. Fortunately for us, we are capable of percieving the information in three dimensions. The next time you're playing Kingdom Hearts 2, and are playing one of those wierd little space ship levels (as my new housemates were earlier) think of it as your archaic "Galaxia" "Space Harrier" or heck, for that matter, the original "Star Wars" game.
With that in mind, I prefer 2-D. And you'll get nothing more from me on the subject... (Thankfully.)

Didn't know what to put. Liked them both, but they both have their tiny quirks.
^_^ just seemed like the most reasonable choice.

I like 2D games alot, but I'm also a fan of spriting so may be biased. Actually, i don't really care about the grafics, 2D can look as good as 3D, still, if it's a good game, i'll play either!

Riiiise from your grave.... Heh heh.
Thanks a lot. Now I have 2 gigs in games and emulators...
No, I'm not being sarcastic. Thank you. I've been looking for some of these games for the better part of a decade. *shrug*

I love 2D games, side-scrollers have been my friend since forever, MegaMan, the original Zelda game, 2D is a great style that has unfortunately died down a lot.
Guilty Gear, King of Fighters, Metal Slug, all fantastic games.
Castlevania: Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, along with Circle of the Moon, were and are fantastic still.
That said, I think that all of the 3D games being released now a days are too easily beaten. Give us some challenge, something to really fight about accomplishing, give us more games like Ikaruga for the Gamcube, challenging, intriguing, fairly unique, and very fun. 2D is forever.
