Ok I was over at a friend of my mothers house and she has a kid so naturally since I love those little monsters called children...I decided to play with him so my mother could have a good time with her freind without worring about him. So whle I was going through books to read to him I found an ABC book and a Twinkle twinkle little star book. And I found myself thinking. Q: Why do The ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle little star have the same melody?
and Thus a thred was born!!!!!!!
So hears a place for all of those strange questions you find yourself asking about the world...retorical or not. If you know the answer to some one elses question don't hesitate to answer it just rewite it so we don't have to go hunting for the question in the first place.
Here I got another one!
Q: what do you wash a bar of soap with?

If someone spits something really nasty into the sink and didn't rinse it down (sick!) before I get into the the bathroom, why will my stupid contact lense always land directly on it?

Why can't I use a pen on my finger pad thing to draw in photoshop? Would a stylus work?

Daggertooth: Looked it up (I love google) And here's what I got: (It says it is a little incorrect due to over simplifying) "Think of a touchpad as a grid of wires that cross each other but are not touching each other. There is a low conductivity material between the wire intersections so that electricity does not flow between the wires. When you press on it, the material get's thinner between the wires which when thin enough will allow electricity to flow. It knows where you touched by the wires where the electricity is flowing." (There was another, more complicated looking entry for explantions, and also, this link to look up the description in the patent for your particular touchpad: www.patentstorm.us/patents/5521336.html I think it's just for U.S. patents though.) So from that, I think pens won't work because they don't trigger the electricity to run across the wires.

Well, it could go in the randomness board, or the game board, but hmm...puzzlement.
Ah, the prescription on my glasses ran out long ago so I can't see squat without my contact lenses, as much of a pain as they may be at times.
Q:why is the wisdom tooth coming out on the top of my mouth so sharp, while the bottom is soft and gummy still, and at the recieving end of painful tooth poking from both directions!? (or in other words, why is my mouth on mutiny against me!)

Q: What does "Ja Ne" mean? (It's Japanese)
|
|
|
Post by RyokoDragonez on Mar 8, 2006 21:44:41 GMT -5
A: Ja Ne is the shortened version of "Ja, Matta ne" which means "I'll see you later". It is (obviously) used when parting from someone for a short time (Short being anything under six months aprox)
Q: Should this not be in the random section?
Q: Is not double posting against forum rules? (There is a "Modify" Button for a reason.)

Q: Should this not be in the random section? Actually, that has already been asked and addressed by none other than Amelius herself: Well, it could go in the randomness board, or the game board, but hmm...puzzlement. Oh, and... Why do huge class assignments that you work all night to complete always get the due date pushed back?

Thanks lysinias. Does this mean that if I push hard enough on the touch pad with a pen that the wires would connect and I can draw with it?
Q: Why is Japan called Nipon by the Japanese? Q: Why is the Kanji for Japan a Sun and a Book? Q: How is Osaka-ben considered by other Japanese?
Daybreak Q:Why do huge class assignments that you work all night to complete always get the due date pushed back? A: Typicaly because enough students have complained that the given amount of time was not adequate for the proposed project. Or to teach students that procrastination can be rewarded. Actualy a common failing for the american public school system.

No, I've tried. I thought it had something to do with heat as well... All I know, is that, even when I am wearing gloves I cannot make it work. There may be specialized stylus', but I would just try to get a cheap tablet.
... I have no idea about your other q's.

A: You're trying to reinvent your original creation, when your original was a spontaneous burst. With the first one, you didn't have any of your own work to compare it to. With the second, you're trying to improve on your original, which can be difficult to do. Does that make sense?
Q: When you get up too early, you're tired. When you get up too late, you're tired. How come?
