Hi! I'm new to CTV and this is my first CTV fanfiction (finished it last night) I hope you all enjoy it. If you do or don't tell me so I can know what I did right or wrong (besides make everyone out of character >_<).
You can pretty much guess what it's about from the title.
Thanks for reading! Bye!
It all started one day near the woods that so many strange creatures inhabited. A little girl was playing with her ball. No one seemed to like this little girl except for teachers, and her grandparents of course. She learned things so quickly she even skipped two grades. This made others jealous.
Some older children, who thought she should have stayed in fifth grade, shoved this intelligent little girl making her lose the ball. The mean children laughed as she ran into the woods to get it.
Why can’t I meet someone intelligent like me? She thought, everyone just wants to pick on me. All I want are some nice friends… She sighed, frustrated.
She searched for a very long time before seeing the ball. She walked over to it and picked it up. As she picked up the ball she looked in front of her and saw a boy. She couldn’t see what he was doing but she stared at his kneeling frame.
Her presence, finally noticed, made the stranger turned. She stared into his bright red eyes and couldn’t look away. It wasn’t vampire magic it was love. Even with blood all over his mouth he didn’t scare her.
“Hello.” She said.
Surprise cloaked his face. “Hi.”
“My name is Amethyst. What’s yours?” She asked stepping closer.
“Charby.” He replied wiping away the blood on himself.
“Charby…” She memorized his name, his face, everything about him.
It may seem weird, it may seem strange, but they talked. She stared into his deep red eyes and him into her piercing green eyes. They talked until they sun started rising. She quickly pulled him into the shade of a tree to protect him from its devastating rays.
“It’s okay. The sun wont kill me Amethyst.”
“Oh, sorry.” Amethyst said as she pulled away.
“Don’t be.” Charby leaned in and kissed her.
It was a pleasant and welcome surprise for her but still she tore herself away. Sunrise meant she didn’t have long to get back home. She waved to the forsaken vampire as she fled to the last place she wanted to be.
Charby looked at the ball that was also left behind. He picked it up and followed her where she couldn’t see.
Amethyst crawled in through her bedroom window. She quickly changed into her nightshirt and crawled into bed.
Charby watched her for a while. Did she leave because she was repulsed or because she would be missed?
He walked around the house looking into windows. He saw into what seemed to be the kitchen. Inside was an elderly couple making breakfast. The old woman went into Amethyst’s room. Charby teleported himself to just outside her window and listened.
“Amanda. Time to wake up dear. Grandpa is making eggs for you.” The old women knocked and entered.
Charby’s eyes went wide. She lies to me then runs from me!
“Gandma can I sleep a little longer?”
“Okay. I will come back when it’s ready.”
“Thank you Grandma.”
The old woman closed the door and Charby entered the room. “Hello AMANDA.”
“Charby?!” Her eyes opened fully at the voice and she sat up.
“Why would you lie to me?” he looked hurt and it broke her heart.
“Charby…I hate that name. I never refer to myself with that name. I’ve always been Amethyst no matter what name I was given at birth. Please forgive me.” Amethyst stood before Charby ready to beg for forgiveness. “I didn’t lie about anything we talked about. I’ve only known you a few hours and you know me more then anyone I’ll ever meet. I will never lie to you.”
“Why did you run away?”
“I had to be here. There was only so much time left.”
“You left your ball.”
And with that he was gone and all that was left was the ball, which lay next to where he had stood just moments before.
Charby walked into the living room and sat down next to Menu and Tony.
“Puppy!” came a call from the kitchen. Menu couldn’t have gotten up faster.
“Mye I’m ready!”
“Okay Zeno be right there!”
Zeno walked through the living room to the front door. “We’ll be back later guys.”
“Bye.” Mye waved with one hand, the other one holding Zeno’s.
Both Charby and Tony sighed.
“What is it about women?” Charby asked.
“Everything. Youse want them but they ignore youse. Youse ignore them and they wants youse. But if youse wants them youse can’t ignore them.” Tony replied.
“And when there’s finally something mutual they lie to you.”
“And then there’s da dames who never sees how youse feel.”
“It’s torture intentional or not.”
They sighed, leaned back, and watched TV.
“Zeno isn’t that flower beautiful?” Mye beamed.
“Not as much as you.” Zeno hugged Mye closer.
“Charby!” The sound was distant and unheard by the lovebirds.
“Charby!” Amethyst called from deep in the woods. She searched desperately for the spot where she had seen Charby the night previous. She took in a deep breath and screamed. “CHARBY!” She was exhausted and sat down. “Charby…”
“Mennick heard noise.”
“We all did Mennick.” Menu said coming out of the kitchen with Claire.
“What was that?” Charby asked stepping outside.
“It sounded like your name.”
Tony, Zeno, and Mye all went into the woods with Charby.
I’ve got to keep walking or else I’ll fall asleep. Amethyst hadn’t slept for over 24 hours and was starting to feel the effects. Running will help…I hope. She started to jog, then run. It wasn’t long before she was back to walking. “Charby I’m sorry!”
“Did you say Charby?”
Amethyst looked around but couldn’t find anyone. “Who’s there?”
A man came down from the trees. “My name’s Zerlocke. If you need help finding Charby my sister is with him right now. I can take you.”
“Thank you. I would really appreciate it.”
“I wonder who it was that was calling you.” Mye wondered out loud.
“It were probably nothing.” Tony opened the door to see a blonde haired green-eyed girl talking and laughing with Zerlocke, Menu, Claire, and Mannick.
The conversation stopped. There was an awkward silence as Zerlocke stared longingly at Mye and Amethyst looked down at her feet in guilt.
Zerlocke disappeared and everyone seemed to stare at either the new girl or Charby.
“Ama- Amethyst…”
Hope filled her eyes as she looked up at Charby. “Yes?”
“Why are you here?”
“I wanted to see you. I didn’t mean to make you mad.”
Charby gestured with his hand and they both went outside.
“Charby I’m so sorry! It’s entirely my fault. I should have explained myself better. I shouldn’t have run. I should-“ Amethyst was interrupted by Charby’s kiss.
When they stopped kissing Charby smiled. “You didn’t run this time.”
“I didn’t want to the first time.”
“Whose da dame?” Tony questioned.
“Amethyst. She was looking for Charby. Wanted to apologize for something.” Claire stated.
“Obviously.” Charby smiled smugly as Amethyst and him walked in the door.
“Allow me to introduce myself. My name’s Amethyst and I’m happy to meet you all.” Amethyst smiled sweetly to everyone.
Amethyst visited Charby everyday. She couldn’t stand being anyway from Charby or his friends. After a week or so she started helping Mye with the cooking. She had never cooked before and wasn’t allowed to her grandparents said.
She helped prepare the food that Mye would be cooking. On this day Amethyst made a mistake. The knife didn’t cut deep but it was enough to draw blood.
“Did you hurt yourself Amethyst?” Charby asked not three inches from her.
Amethyst only had to see the blood crazed look in his eyes once to know the answer. She stuck her finger in her mouth and shook her head furiously. “ I godda goh.”
Even after Amethyst was gone Charby could still smell her blood. He looked down at the knife that cut her and the blood on it. He licked the blood off and closed his eyes.
It didn’t taste like normal human blood. It tasted so much better. There was definitely something inhuman about her.
From then on he couldn’t see anything besides her blood. It was driving him mad that he couldn’t see her green eyes or her blonde hair. There was so much about her that neither of them knew.
“Charby you’ll never be a monster.” Amethyst cuddled up to Charby as they watched the sunset.
“What are you talking about Ame?” Charby put his hand in her hair and looked at the spectrum of color as it slowly faded to the black star filled night sky.
“Well I’ve been reading more stuff about vampires. Trying to understand you better and, well, so many people think vampires are monsters. And if they just knew you I don’t think they would think that, because you’re not a monster. You have a reason for what you do and no matter what I don’t think you’ll ever be a monster.”
She was so sweet to say that. It meant so much to Charby that she could over look the people he’s killed and see him for himself. Still he couldn’t help but feel she was naïve for trusting him sometimes.
“Where’s Amethyst? Isn’t she here everyday?” Zeno inquired.
“I don’t know. I’m going out to find her.” With that Charby was gone.
Charby was overwhelmed with the smell of blood upon entrance to her room. His eyes filled with the bloodlust he felt as he looked down at her wound.
There was a long cut along Amethyst leg. Her hands were scraped and her knees were skinned. And blood was still seeping from the bandaged wounds.
That’s why she didn’t visit today. Charby tried to resist himself. He started to change. No! Stop!
“Charby?” Amethyst stirred. “Is that you?”
No! No! @%#*& not again! Charby tried to resist but it was too late.
Amethyst’s eyes went wide as she saw the creature Charby had become. “Char-“ And with that she was gone.
Charby ate her in one bite. He licked at whatever blood was on him. The meal was short but the pain was deep. He changed back and cried.
“Amanda! Amanda what’s going on?!” The elderly couple tore into the bedroom but Charby was already gone.
A week later Charby went to Amethyst’s funeral. He watched the empty coffin go into her grave. After putting flowers at Amethyst’s grave he traveled over to Viki’s.
“I did it again Viki. I couldn’t control myself.” He placed flowers at her grave and walked away.
“I am a monster…”
You can pretty much guess what it's about from the title.
Thanks for reading! Bye!
