The merits of my little goblin-guy: He's agile, practical, and rather down to earth. He's good at not being noticed, speaks fluent english and goblin, can climb up walls, and knows how to read. He is posessed of the remarkable ability to state the obvious, and is considered unusually social amongst others, at least for one of his upbringing. His teeth grow back rather quickly, and he could probably gnaw through a brick wall if he tried. XD
Faults: Lactose intolerant, and hates shoes. Has a habit of getting under people's skin--- especially people he should leave alone. Ferocity definately doesn't make up for height- my, he's short. Gnaws at tree roots, to wear down his teeth. Somehow manages to refrain from calling people by their names, which some people find irritating. Never says sorry, unless it's really, REALLY necessary. Smells decidedly... Odd.

Thanks. I decided just to give it my old amateurish shot, like I did back in my RP prime and try to write naturally as opposed to paying attention to the laws of good writing. I only hope it works, because even if I didnt pay attention to literary rules, I still paid a lot of attention to my wording back in the good old days (though when it came to Moss, I always typed his speeches instantly and without second thought).
I think if I were writing as a scholar, I would have made sure my first post contained as little possible action from my characters, and have like, flash-back memory type stuff to explain the situation. I allowed some movement, which is what I think I would have done back when I had respect for myself.
So.... yeah, im not exactly sure why I drawing attention to all my potential flaws.... dosent seem like a very good idea....

Screw it.... Obviously im no good at introducing Tea Rehiro, so I'll just give them a nice normal introduction here.
Okay, before you guys dig into me about making the character named after me so stereotypically cool seaming, even to the point that some characters are referring to him as a god.... let me just say that I did.... something to him which makes up for all that..... probably more than make up for it...... ouch, my reputation.
Name: Rehiro
Gender: Male
Race: Demon (none of these guys are a specific race of demon. They were all born in a place where the blood was so mixed that powers, and racial features and stuff became pretty random)
Appearance: Carries the Mark of Shame but covers it up with a wolf skin, ninja mask type thing. He wears a short sleeved wolf skin shirt, wolf skin pants, and wolf skin boots. The wold skin is till furred and that fur is grey and spiky with red, scar like markings on it.
He stands 6'7" and has the basic features of a giant. Heavily muscled.
He has claws on his fingers, and his iris' are yellow. His pupils are snake slits.
Carries six spears on his back. Each with black shafts and a ruff of wolf fur below the spear head, which is actually the fang of a giant wolfs tooth.
Abilities: Can see far into a persons mind by looking at them. Difficult to kill because of swift healing abilities. Poisonous, corrosive blood. Ability to transform into a wolf demon, which, while in that form he has the ability to create wind demons with his breath. Super strength. Energy manipulation. Can summon wolves and jump dimensions.
Personality: Leader. Analytical. Worrisome. Cares a lot about his comrades. Animalistic. Secretive.
______________________________________________________
Name: Zokoren

Race: Demon
Appearance: Wears orange robes signifying a demonic religion from the place of which he was born. Sandals.
Bald. Mark of Shame. Pale skin. Sometimes carries a walking stick.
Stands 6'2". Kind of scrawny.
Abilities: Can make his soul move outside of his body so that he can scope out an area unseen. Can possess a persons soul unless he is over powered. Can suck a persons soul out unless he is over powered. Can use spiritual seals. Has a psychic connection with Daxelore.
Personality: Fiercely loyal. Kind of smart, but has mental barriers. Likes to appear as something higher then other people and takes pride in his sophisticated nature but is really quite barbaric with a love for putting people in specific positions. Very religious.
______________________________________________________
Name: Krowin
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Appearance: Long black beard. Shaggy black hair. Broad shoulders. Heavily muscled. 5'7".
Wears britches, a tunic, boots. Very humanish. Doesn't have any visible demonic characteristics.
Abilities: Energy manipulation. Has a pot which is a portal to another dimensional pocket which is full of wires that he can control. A craftsperson. Built the carriage which hops dimensions. Tames animals. Builds golems.
Personality: Defensive. Gets picked on for being the weakest member on the team, even though his powers are very necessary. Gets picked on for looking too human. Foul mouthed and letcherous. Simple minded. Appears greedy, but really just doesn't care for many people on the team.
______________________________________________________
Name: Daxelore
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Appearance: Wears a loincloth and nothing else. Scrawny but still kind of muscular. Has claws, red wings, pointed ears, fangs, red iris' with black slits for pupils. 5'5". Long brown hair.
Abilities: Can fly, breathe fire, super strong, hard to kill. Can transform into a more dragonish type of humanoid then he is normally. Has a psychic connection with Zokoren.
Personality: Wild. Impulsive. Loves to fight. Believes that one should be able to rely on their own strength to defeat their enemies no matter how weak they are. Easy to anger. Simple minded. ______________________________________________________
Name: Shan
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Appearance: Scrawny. 5'9". Eye "whites" are yellow. Pupils and iris' are black.
Wears ear rings, and a headband matching his twin sister Sham. Wears somewhat elaborate clothing with styalized mongoose symbols.
Abilities: Illusionist. Can manipulate a persons sense of vision within a limited area. Throws knives. Uses explosives. Martial artist. Hops dimensions. Has a psychic connection with Sham.
Personality: Tricky. Inferiority complex. Feels like he is the weakest member on the team. Dutiful. Acts confident and is generally well liked. Can communicate with animals rather well. ______________________________________________________
The last person is Sham. Shippo's character. I'll let her introduce her. I didn't give any background information although Rehiro's is still available somewhat (more has been added). I'll let them say their own stories as time goes on.

Yeah, I think so. Also, I think she'll be the first person to go on the attack, so I'm going to need you soon.
Hmmm.... These are all some pretty godly characters, I need to fix this story to be more inclusive of the players characters. I think I know how I can put Glen in a position of power, and Sham, so I need to figure out how to get some interesting individual decision making out of Pulk and Serin.
You guys do whatever you can during this next little battle scene, but I dont know if its in your power to stop the inevitable................
Hey, Scarecrow, exactly how tall is Glen, and what color is his skin? Whats his history, or rather, is it possible that he might be some distant descendant of the Garu-Tai Red Goblins (he doesn't have to be red) which ruled over the Treeborn Menace? 'Cause then he might just end up ruling over old Garatrog (remember him?) and his new treeborn army.
Wow...... im subtle.

Allrighty... Grew up in a root-goblin village in southern Thranl, along the border of the city of Whiteshade. Mother's name, Kay, Father's name, Jagg. Has a younger brother, named Tegg, and an younger sister, Rit. Left home at age fourteen, (you're legally an adult at thirteen where he's from) and started rummaging around in the streets of the city. Got bored, blah blah, been wandering around ever since. He is, to date, twenty seven.
In response to your question about his shortness, and colouring...
Glen: Eh... Four sumfink? Maybe just unner five foot? I dunno. ...Green azza goblin, bucko. There's a reason people say that. Those lads up north're more grey, an' ta those swampies out east're kinda pale... But tha gen'ral prinseepal's tha same, eh?

Thank you Scarecrow I want to make sure that everyone gets a piece of the influence in this story, so I have to think some more, but I have a lot planned now. This RP does not appear to be thriving.... I think.... Maybe its because I am the one who is intimidating? If my writing is intimidating or something, or if my own criticism toward my own writing is causing nervousness amongst people as to how I might perceive others.... let me say that I am much harsher toward myself then others. I know I said no rapid fire posting, but I really dont mind if we go a little faster. If anyone doesnt feel like they want to read all the stuff from everyones different perceptions, thats fine. The only part that you are required to read is the parts with Team Trandar. You dont even have to know whats going on. Also, if I am making some kind of mistake, or there is something bothering you about the story, you can tell me and I will listen. This is my first time GMing and I probably suck. Also, if you are having anxiety over being in character, you dont always have to be spot on. Sometimes the first instinct is not given the credit its due anyway. I am just honored to be GMing an RP with you guys in it. I really like all the characters, and I like how the interaction has been going so far. I hope I can keep this going, and I hope I can make myself an adequate GM.

Wow! I meant it ^^ Just finished reading the roleplay, and it's delicious.

*Gasp* Daybreak, you want to join my RP? And you think it's delicious? *Squeee*
No, I mean it, that's exciting! You hosted the most successful RP on these forums. When im thinking on how to make people post more, I always think of Bad Seeds. I would love it if you would join. Seriously.
Darn, I guess I shouldnt gasp and squeal.
Well, hmmm.... the best thing I think, would be if there was some sort of way to separate everyone from Krowin, Daxelore, and Zokoren. Then we would have Sham as the only member of Team Rehiro with our current group, and Team Rehiro would be split up into four groups. We could introduce old characters, like Garatrog, and send things on a more free flowing adventure.
First I was hoping for a little Q and A with Team Rehiro and Team Trandar and a little introverted opinion on behalf of some of the player characters before I moved on, but if that doesn't happen, we can move things quicker.
So.... hmm..... a new character..... maybe a disruptive one? Ill think on it, and if you have any ideas, those over ride mine. Primarily choose a character you like and I will try and incorporate them into the story, but I can probably think of story related characters too.

Awww, you flatter me. I'll give you a secret to why Bad Seeds went on so long - I refused to give up even when only one or two people were posting XD. That and I'm lucky enough to have a marvelous plot device who's more stubborn than I am. I should really bring Dylan around more often... but I digress!
Well, a character kinda popped into my head while I was reading it, so I'll give you his information. And he can do disruptive. He can SO do disruptive. I have sorta an idea, I'll PM you after I'm done here.
Name: Jarrah Skylark (his surname is unpronouncable by the majority of other races, but it loosely translates into 'Skylark,' so this is what he uses as it is easier on the tongues and ears of other gentlecreatures.)
Gender: Male
Age: ?? He is a mature speciman of his species, on the cusp of old age.
Race: Again, the name for this particular race of demon is difficult to pronounce at best. Depending on who you talk to, they can be called Walkers, Long-Limbs, Tree Spiders, Rock Apes, or 'great furry beasties with terrible long arms'.
Appearance: As their nicknames suggests, the most striking thing about Walkers (as I'll call them from now on to avoid confusion) are their limbs and their size. At first glance, they seem to be similar to gorillas in build, with exceptionally long arms and a body built for strength. However, they are approximately three times the size of an average gorilla, and Jarrah is slightly larger than even that.
They walk on all four limbs, but their back legs are longer in comparison than an ape's would be. Walkers have some sort of specialized bone and joint structure in their back legs that allow them to move freely across open ground, through trees (really big trees, that is), or in rocky terrain. They have short prehensile tails for the same purpose.
They don't have 'hands,' exactly, but rather oversized paws with seperated digits and an opposable fifth digit, so they can manipulate almost everything they'd need to with their front or back paws.
Walkers have thick, arched necks - more like a deer's than anything - that end in a flat, hairless, surprisingly beautiful human face. Jarrah's skin is a light tan, except for his broad nose, which is dark brown. He has large, calm golden eyes, and his ears are long, furred, and hang down past his chin. His whole body is covered in strawberry-gold fur that's dusted with silver and white, showing his age. It's long on his forelimbs and on his neck, slick and short on his tail, his upper arms and legs, and across his back, and it's a fine down on the rest of his body.
Jarrah wears a crudely made pair of gray-green, knee-length pants with an elaborate belt specially designed with pouched to carry everything he may need. He also wears an elaborate mantal around his neck than hangs across his chest. This is made of strings upon strings of teeth, bone, shells, pieces of metal or pottery, carved wood, and many other curiosities he's picked up on his travels.
Abilities: Large and surprisingly graceful. Thanks to his fur and thick skin, he's difficult to injure with normal weapons, and he is certainly well-versed in hunting and fighting. He has extensive knowledge in wildlife survival (what plants are edible, how to preserve meat, how to heal simple wounds with herbs, how to make shelter), and can usually tell when a storm or signifigant natural disturbance will happen. Besides this, his respectable age gives him perspective and wisdom.
Flaws: Dislikes conflict and will generally avoid it unless he's forced into it. Absolutely hopeless at any sort of stealth operation (Really, how does one hide an enormous furry demon?), and he's not as spry or full of fire as he once was.
History: Very typical for a male Walker. He lived in a forest tribe for most of his youth, obeying the law of the alpha male and taking several wives, which was custom. He most certainly has several children running around somewhere. Eventually, however, he began to grow large enough to worry the alpha, and was quickly driven from the tribe. He spent several years as a nomad, wandering over a great deal of land and picking up stories, making temporary friendships, and basically 'adventuring.' He has certainly heard a bit about Treeborn.
Currently, he lives as a hermit in the woods, enjoying the peace and quite evenings alone with his pipe and his thoughts. However, the tree he uses as shelter is somewhat near a certain village...

New game! Everybody choose one thing that you like in an RP. It can be an aspect, an object, a person, an attribute, anything. It can be a big literal plot thing or a little conceptual idea. Just what do you like?

Never done romance before, that could be interesting. Means I'd need another character 'sides this dirty ol' bat, 'cause he isn't interested in anything but laying low with a bit of fun. Can't throw in Damon, he's too young. Chantre isn't a romantic, and I've already got Rock's love life mapped out. *gasp!!* I have it! I still have Sir Granite---Master of White Space, the infamous D-Hopper of the Milky Way! Smooth, charismatic, you don't know he's a bad guy till he gets what he wants and leaves you abandoned in an uninhabited dimension with no way out. He'd be most delightful as a romantic. A bit of a Rhett Butler, you know. Erm, would this be alright, oh great and powerful Treeborn Inventor?
*Psst, still reading you-know-what, don't none of youse spoil anything! I'm in the middle of the part where Rhett interrupted Scarlett's analyzation of Frank Kennedy's ledger, and they've gone off to buy the mill!*

One thing? You think this is possible, Rehiro-person?
This is a difficult task. I like it when the characters have time to interact... You know? Just be themselves for a while. Let them get to know eachother a bit, and perhaps develope a certain amount of trust... And then, noting certain current critters and events, perhaps tear down everything. I like it when an rp has a plot to it- hopefully one that your character's actions will not destroy. Something the characters will have memories of, should we put them into a different rp in the future.
For Glen: Romance is alright, but Glen's not really the sort to go searching... And unless someone's actually going to fall for the guy, which I highly doubt, he's not that interested. Pretty layed-back guy, really. Glen isn't really violent, as his kind go, but he won't hold any scruples about stabbing an enemy in the back. He really doesn't have that much of a conscience at all- and even less honour. He's not really against morals... He just sort of doesn't bother his little mind with them most of the time.
I'm not sure when this became a write-up on motivations. ~.~ Ignore me.

Well, considering the lovable nature of people on this forum, romance might be a bit dangerous as you say Zolah, but I think we might give it a shot (I was once emasculatingly good at writing romance ) I will try to get in everything that people want, or at least their one most wanted idea, but doing everything that everybody wants might eventually hurt the plot. So what I have now is character development, back stories, romance, character interaction, and a place which can be remembered and reflected on? If I missed something just remind me. I will try to get in an aspect of each. It seems like a formula for a good RP. It has been a little action packed and dictatory so far, hasnt it? Forgive me, its my first time! I will try to correct myself in the future.

I apologize for not posting... Serin's disappeared on me. As have... most of my other characters. I'm not sure where they went, but here they are not. ^^; Many apologies, I'll try to find them soon. Though I do believe that for now, Serin will just be watching, observing. If approached by any of team Rehiro, she'll probably flinch away and not answer them, stare at them fearfully... You know... Stuff that would sort of cement her act... ^^;
As for what I like most in rps... I enjoy the romance angle as well. But mostly, I like character interaction. It's always fun to see how the characters interact and react.

Hmmm, if Jarrah shows up, would that give a little jumpstart to the roleplay? I don't want to barge in on the Q + A there, but I don't mind being the Deus ex Machina.
What I like about roleplays are characters. I like playing a personality nothing like my own. I like mysterious pasts and trying to keep secrets from both player and character until they're finally revealed. I like conflict between characters, the Hero's quest, and spending the time to invent an entire society, city, religion, or culture around one character. And, I admit, I have a soft spot for cliched plot devices like amnesia or magical items that give people special powers. A delicious plot is an excellent good thing, but plot is justan excuse to make characters interact. Since it's a roleplay, no one knows just how anyone else will respond, so one surprise move by the players, and the whole story changes.
It's positively devious.
