[OOC: Okay, first RP post here, so be gentle. This basically takes place in the same Market Place that's in Charby (you know, the one where Kavonn parades Daray through trying to find his staff). Anyways, PM me if you'd like to join. And feel free to create your own NPC's for this, too.]
Under a partly cloudy sky in the middle of fine weather, the Demon Market flourished. Consumers, merchants, and passersby were abundant in the area. People and creatures were yelling, heckling, peddling, buying, and selling all around. But, just because it's called a "Demon" Market doesn't mean other beings can't find themselves wandering around and interacting with others.
"Ancestor, why are we actually having a first-hand encounter with these folk again?" Ellen Alemon questioned her accomplace and relative, Giles Alemon. The two were strolling through the marketplace. Giles had decided that the two should actually get out more and study real Demons rather than just artifacts and items. "I mean, just because we are 'Metaphysicists' and devoted to studying and figuring out what makes the Magical World tick, shouldn't mean that we actually have to get involved with them."
"Would you just relax?" responded Giles. "In my near 200 years of living here, don't you think I would've at least passed through this place before? You're perfectly safe. You and your brother already project a magical aura around the both of you on top of the fact that you have magical blood flowing through you. Even though you guys are Humans and maybe hated and feared by most Demons, nobody will even touch you as long as they can sense your mystical presence."
He looked over her once more before again stating, "Oh yeah, and stop it with the Ancestor thing... It gets creepy after a while."
"Yes, my leige." Ellen's newer title seemed to leave an almost queasy look on Giles face. "Now, speaking of the brute, where is my brother anyways?"
Reno Alemon, technically the younger of the siblings, was just an earshot away arguing with a merchant. "What?! Are you outrageous? How can you ever hope to sell anything with an economic policy like that?" Reno, who had studied economics and business in college, went off on another one of his rants he has to do when one of the two topics comes up. "I mean, this purple doo-dad you got here is worth way more than what you're selling it for. You should raise the price by 50 and make some real profit."
"Are you actually gonna buy it, then?"
"Oh, hell no. I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing. You should work on that, too. Sell stuff people actually like."
Giles could hear him yelling from where he was, and decided the best thing for him and Ellen to do. "Uhm... Let's just leave him on his own for now..." The thought of even beeing seen with him or being related with the man was embarassing. "Besides, at least he won't get suckered in by the vendors around here..."

AShton chased his new friend through the market. "Sharrra! Wait for me!" he cried. The young wolf-elf giggled. "Catch me if you ca~an!" she called out, ducking through stallsand around older demons. "Hey! Watch it!" one called out, turning and getting between Ashton and Sharra. "YIPE!" Ashton cried, skidding to a halt. The demon approached Ashton and glared. AShton trembled, then shreiked at the top of his lungs. "SHARRA! HELP!" he cried, while bolting inthe opposite direction. "Ashton? Ashton, wait up!" Shara cried. AShton raced through the market, not watching where he was going. *oof* He fell to the ground and looked up at the woman he had run into with wide eyes(Ellen). Sharra pushed through the crowd of demons and ran over to her friend. "Ashton? Are you all... right?" she asked, voice trailing off as she saw the two humans. (Seriously, start a discussion thread. Wht do you mean by minimum lentgh? )

Kisu watched the incedent cool-ly. He walked over to the scene, maintaining his distance. Impudent children. Disrupting a place like this with their idiocy. Hm. That woman (Ellen) wasn't bad looking. He'd better make a good first impression. He strode up to her, proudly.
"Hello. What's a nice-looking girl like you doing in the demon market? It's a dangerous place..." He smiled his most charming smile. "If you're not too busy with these impudent children.. Perhaps I could buy you something to drink?" He raised his eyebrows.

Ellen sighed to herself, but did her best to try and hide it. 'First these kids here ran into me and now this Demon is hitting on me... Geez...'[/i] She moved to dismiss the man, but Giles answered the Fox Demon for her.
"Why, she would absolutely love to join you in a drink. It's her first time here, though, so be patient with her." He turned to whisper into her ear. "Have fun with your first 'assignment.' Hehe."
The white-haired man then bent down to help the little ones that bumped into the two. "Oh, don't worry yourselves about this. You should just watch out for where you're going." He reached out his hand to help the Dragon-boy up.

ashton hestantly accepted the hand, then burst into a grin and hugged him. "Your nice," he chirped. Sharra smiled. "Hi. I'm Sharra. The little boy hugging you is Ashton," she said, curtsying. "I'm bigger than you, Sharra," Ashton whispered. Sharra grinned, then perked her ears up. "Sharra! Time to go!" Sable called out. Sharra grimaced. "I gotta go, ashton. Mom's calling me," she said, waving and running off. "Awww..." Ashton said, watching her leave with a sad look. He was still hugging Giles.
(OOC:Ashton's a friendly kid, but he really doesn't understand the whole...personal space thing.)

He smiled charismatically, walking up to her. His black-and-yellow tail swished behind him eagerly. He layed his strong arm over her shoulders, and looked at her through his thick black eyelashes. Kisu's dead-looking eye was a bit scary, but all the same, he was an attractive man. His chest was covered with dark red symbol tatoos, the same color as the scars over his eye.
"So, where shall we get a drink, Mademoiselle?" He raised his eyebrows, smiling again. He began to walk in the direction of a shady looking pub/hotel.
(That's Kisu for you. Lecherous, but fun to play all the same)

Ellen looked at Giles with fire in her eyes, but felt some satisfaction in seeing him held "prisoner" by Ashton. She turned her attention back to the fox demon. "Very well then, kind sir." A grim feeling overwhelmed, her however. 'Lord, I hope he doesn't try to get any out of this...' And so, she went on to follow the man towards the bar and inn.
Meanwhile, Giles was left in the arms of the young boy he just ment to show a kind gesture to. "Awwww, man." He tried and struggled to pry the boy away from him to no avail. "Let go? Please? I was just trying to be nice. Can anyone help me out here? Anyone? Reno! Where are you!"
The werewolf's descendant was barely within earshot of the cry for help and just dismissed it as something from his imagination. He was too busy looking at a fancy piece of pottery held by one of the shops. Reno couldn't help but feel disappointed, though. 'Man, I thought something interesting would at least come out of this trip. I got bored heckling that one guy and I really don't feel like doing it again. I need something to do here...'

AShton let go and backed away, confused. His wings twitched slightly, then folded against his back. "...you don't like Ashton?" he asked, eyes filling with tears. He sniffed, and rubbed his eyes with one hand. Sharra cme back, looking over one shoulder. "AShton, good news. Mom said I could stay a little longer," she said, turning to look. "Ashton? are you ok?" she asked, seeing the tears. Ashton nodded and sniffed again. Sharra gave her friend a hug, and glared at Giles. "What did you say to him? The poor boy lost his dad, and he never hurt anyone. All he wants to be is friends. That's no reason to be mean," she said, turning from ashton to glare at Giles, hands on her hips. Her golden eyes flashed in irratation, and her tail swished from side to side.

The sparsely decorated stand looked as though someone had simply dumped as many watches as they could fit into a small space, and in the way that was what had happened. The banner hung off the front of the little shop read "Vin's Clock Retail & Repair Shop", and Vincent was currently doing the former service. Whatever fool demon was the owner of this antique had caused some serious damage, all the time had spilled out of it. He sighed and set to work, collecting all the stray bits of time and stuffing them back through what seemed to be a claw mark on the clock's face. After that, all that was left was the aesthetic, and it was an easy matter for him to clean up the scratches and rends in the woodwork. Getting up from the work bench, the statuesque time demon stretched out his back, feeling his spine pop all the way down to his tail. He placed the now fixed clock on one of the over cluttered counter-shelves. Smiling, he want back to the front of the shop to wait for new business. He checked his pocket watch, and the information on it widened his smile considerably. Today would be an interesting day.

Giles looked around to see if the scene was causing a stir in the crowd or drawing negative attention to him. It was. "Look, I didn't... I mean, he was wrapping his arms around pretty hard and... It just creeped me out, okay?" He tried to explain himself, but after saying it he only felt worse for trying to find a reason that justified making the kid cry. 'Awwww, crap...'[/i]
He straightened up and calmed himself down. "Alright, I'm sorry for what I did. Anything I can do to make it up that doesn't involve the crushing of my torso?"
Meanwhile, Reno, still dazed in his own boredom from walking around the Market saw something that interested him. It was a watch shop, but something about it seemed... different than a normal shop. "Hey there! Nice watches you have." He opened up with a casual statement before moving on to his question. "Now tell me, what's the deal with these things? They seem unreal to me..."

Sharra turned to Ashton. "You gonna be ok?" she asked him, patting him on the back. Ashton sniffed again and nodded. "Ashton will be fine," he said softly. Then, he tilted his head to one side, looking at Giles. His wings unfolded and flapped experimentaly before stilling. "...ashton hurt nice man?" he asked Giles, looking mournful now. "Ashton sorry...don't know my own strength..." he continued, looking down at his claws. Sharra sighed, and bopped him on the head. "Cheer up, you silly dragon. He doesn't look that hurt," she said cheerfully.

((My last post got deleted when my CPU froze... myu!)
Kisu smiled wryly. He led her into the shady looking place. Two tired looking bells hanging on the door signaled their arrival with a depressing "don-don." He led her to a seat, bowing, and saying in a smooth voice,
"After you, milady."
He turned to the barkeeper. He was a tall, burly man, with thinning brown hair combed forward, as to try and hide his receding hairline. His right arm was that of a dragon, with dingy green scales. Two of the claws were missing, and he scrubbed a dirty glass with a dirty rag, spreading grime all about the cracked dish. He looked up. Half of his face was covered in peeling scales, the same dingy green as his arm, and as the mossy fungus that grew in the cracks of the wooden counter. Kisu looked at the man arrogantly.
"I'll have... Maidens blood. Your best..." He put his face close to Ellen's putting one long, clawed finger under her chin.
"This one... Will have something a bit stronger." He smiled again, and looked at the man, raising his eyebrows. He then took a seat on the squeaky bench, scooting close to Ellen. The man went into the back room, bringing the dirty glass with him. A stunted tail could be seen peeking out from under his shirt, it was twisted and knarled, deformed looking.
"So... Tell me about yourself... Ellen..."

[OOC: Hello.]
Ellen's eyebrow twitched as the Demon stroked her chin. The sight of the place just made her feel uncomfortable and only confirmed her previous notions that her host was a sleeze. Nevertheless, she decided to ride it out and do as her Ancestor commanded. She straightened up in the chair and looked her Demonic companion in his eyes.
"Well, my name is Ellen of the Alemon Family. In the terms of your world, we haven't been around all that long." As she spoke, she became more relaxed with the Kitsune. "I myself am not that old. I'm 38 despite the appearance of my body. I guess you could thank the garments that I have on for that reason." The more she spoke, the softer and more friendly it became. She was so at ease that she carelessly drank from the drink her host had given her. Her cheeks flushed red as she went on with her personal details.
"Oh, I can't tell you how great these clothes are. Ever since I found them I've felt blessed. They're Artemis's, you know. You know, don't you? The Greek Goddess? Oh don't tell me you've never heard of her." Ellen drank more of the spirit, feeling more charismatic and boastful. "Yes, well, anyways, I've been gifted with Her traits. I can shoot a budding leaf off a tree a good mile away with only a whim. I bet I can out-shoot you anyday, also." The more she drank, the less mindfull she was of herself and the circumstances she should keep to herself.
"My great, great-oh, screw how great he is. My Ancestor is that man you saw outside. He's a werewolf or something around that. My brother is a gigantic nerd who thinks he's hot stuff because he found some 'special' armor or what not." She paused to think for just a moment about what else she should say before blurting out two things she wouldn't have said if she was sober. "Oh yeah, and you'd never guess me and my brother are really Humans! Ha. Oh, and did I mention?" She stopped to make sure the Demon was looking at her still. "I'm a Virgin?"
Back outside in the Market, Giles felt more at ease that the young Dragonkin had stopped crying and was back to what seemed to be his usual happy self. He sat down on a nearby bench and took off his sandals, which were annoying him the entire time he was in the Square. "So, what are two kids like you doing here? It doesn't look like either of you have any money." He scratched his head with one hand while he swung the other over the back of the bench. "Is there any other reason to coming here besides causing mischief and mayham common in you adolescents?"

"Ashton lost his daddy," Ashton said, looking around. "met Sharra here...was being bullied..." he continued, glancing at his claws. Sharra grinned. "Yep. Ashton here scared the bullies good. I'm here with mum. She always brings me with her to the market," Sharra said. AShton smiled, and flapped his wings once, blushing slightly. "...was making Sharra cry...had to stop them..." he muttered, scuffing his foot on the ground.
