Don't worry about such trivial things as permission, anyone can join anytime. Of course you can join Shippo. Why would I disclude you?

Heheh. I'm not really sure... but I don't think she'll pop in right now. She'll most likely show up later, completely randomly. I think she'll like Aston, though. She's been weird about kids lately... (don't ask me how it can be "lately" when I only mad her up two days ago)

Himeji Castle was cool....remind me that the next time I feel like stading up and saying..."gee, I think I'll go look at a random castle" That I actualy look up where it is. Two hours later I'm looking out of a train thinking why is there an ocean over there. Two hours after that I get there, and its too late for a tour inside the castle. Got all the pictures I wanted from the outside though, with sakura flowers to boot. I wonder, since all of Japan suddenly erupted in flowers would that mean the air smells very different? Wow, I didnft intend for that to be soo long either. I am sorry, please donft hate my long postyness, Ifll try to shorten it. Just the intro, just trying to show that Nychus isnft 100% up to par. Didja like the Perfume example? Please tell me, if your in a perfume store and all the perfume is sprayed would it give you a headache? Could you discern which one is which? If there were two scents and you had no idea what either was from would you still be able to separate them in your mind? Sorry, after my intro my mind is buzzing with random scensory questions. Well, to answer one of your questions, yes. That would give me a killer headache. However, I am a little odd since I'm borderline allergic to a lot of perfumes. I don't know enough about perfumes to separate them, but I can place individual smells a lot of the time. For example, I could walk into my house when my mom's cooking dinner, have no idea what's in the oven, and name it right away. Another fun fact about smell? Girls have better olfactory senses then guys ^_^

And they don't tell me untill they are either cold or all eaten. :pouts: I didn't know girls had a better sence of smell than guys. I figure that if I ever got a sence of smell It would be an overload. With everything mixed together in a nausiating mess. Course I was the one who had to clean up the skunks at my camp. :grumple: cute animals, no need to kill them. They couldn't harm me if they tried. Daggertooth

oh....I thought I mentioned that before. Sorry. Yeah, I have absoluetly no sense of Smell....which makes it really hard to have a character with a strong sense of smell....complete guess work and assumptions so if I make a mistake please tell me. The mysterious fifth sense...tell me, can you smell dead people? Daggertooth

*coughs* Well, I can't say I've been around a lot of bodies, but when you go to a funeral with an open casket you can usually smell a lot of flo-whatsit. The preservative. It's kinda sweet and gross-smelling. *tries to figure out how to explian what rot smells like* Egh, youdon't wanna know. And yeah, in response to your earlier question, you can smell flowers if a lot of them are blooming at once. Not sure about cherries, but lilacs are certainly strong.

I was told that in the tropics sometimes a certain tree has millions of blooms and the entire forest smells different. Really nice....happened while I was there, tall trees so I only got to see the dying petals cover the floor. The professor said I was really missing out. :/

soo...what is going on with Nychus?

Post by Daggertooth on Apr 16, 2006 19:25:40 GMT -5
Nychus: I told you I'm fine. Me: Right....you can't keep yourself standing and your fine. Nychus: I just happen to like resting on the floor. Me: Stubborn fool Nychus: I'm not stubborn! I told you I am fine. I'm 19 years old, I own my own house and farming plot, I know my way around in the outdoors, and I've been on my own for over a year. I think I can take care of myself! Me: Ah, the perfect Epitath for your tombstone. Nychus: *Glare*
Nychus is exhausted, starved, and now a little less thirsty. The panic and strain of trying to get away quickly drained him out completely, He's lucky he didn't pull anything. To top that off he's running a slight fever that his system is too weak to fight it off. The water will help significantly if he doesn't drink so much his body goes into shock. A bit of food and rest and he will be fine, albiet a bit sick for a day or two, but getting better.
The Medallion will enhance his recovery time, but only if his system is naturaly capable of handling it. Right now his system isn't capable of anything and he's actualy extremely lucky that ashton is trying to help. The Medallion is also the reason he can talk, but he doesn't know that yet.
Nychus: What was that last bit? Me: huh? Oh nothing important.

Sybs: Sooo.... can I show up now? Deebs: No, not while everyone else is showing up. Later. Sybs. Mmkay. Now? I wanna tell fox-boy there that you gotta make a little scoop with your tongue if you wanna drink anything. See? *demonstrates* Deebs: ...you WOULD drink like that, wouldn't you?
Yeah, my girl's getting impatient...

Hey Wolf, I think we better slow down. Ifm having tons of fun and the story hasnft progressed too far, but we are leaving others a bit behind. Poor Shippo is still holding her spear suspiciously back on page 2.

I do too....and It's been a blast. Poor Nychus...he really isn't a coward even though now he thinks himself as one. I think maybe we can quickly grab the pack and get back...wont take too long and we wouldn't be missed. But yeah, Poor Shippo was literaly left out in the rain. During kind of a tense spot as well. Not sure how to mediate that.

Ok. You might want to point out to Nychus that a fox can't exactly be considered a match to a half-dragon, not to mention Rolf and scare and that even Thorn(Ashton's dad) would be scared in that situation...

lol, well it wasn't so much of being able to match anyone blow for blow or beat anyone up. More of how he basicaly scrambled around in panic. Being man handled by a ten year old doesn't help.

He was dehydrated, fainting from hunger, and he's sick. He is completely entitled to be panicked.

Thats true. But few people would admit that they would react like that. Nychus enjoys hearing adventuring stories and loves to imagin how he would react in similar cases. No scenario he has ever envisioned has him running in sheer panic with his tail between his legs. Few people ever really have their limits tested, Nychus just expected he would react better...alot better.
He'll get better once he adapts to his new form.
