Work in progress! Hopefully it will bloom into a full-out dictionary of the beasts and demons in CTV. Keep in mind these apply mostly to CTV characters and not the univerally accepted mythology, though I do tend to use a lot of that anyway. I didn't write out everything yet but feel free to annex any I left out just in case I forget.
Alp: German incubus-like vampire creature that enjoys tormenting sleeping mortals, and other pranks.
Changeling demons: A demon that can change its shape to anything it wants in an attempt to mislead.
Elf: Usually small of stature, intelligent creature that usually will try to remain out of sight. Good with weapons, especially archery and throwing weapons. Enjoy playing tricks on greedy humans.
Fairy: Creatures of varying size, and varying disposition. Many prefer to remain invisible. May have insect wings and dress in found objects or flower petals, sometimes they are too big and weave magical fabrics. 3 genders: Male, Female, and None.
Some will be evil and enjoy pranks, some will be good-natured and helpful. Good with magic. Hate intruders.
Dragon: A reptile-like creature that is intelligent and sometimes has magical abilities. Dragons make their home anywhere.
Onekemari: Demons that based their life around a long-time fued with dragons, devote their life to dragon hunting as a rite of passage into adulthood for the males. Dragon parts are used often in magid spells.
Lemuro: A lemur demon with innate magic abilities, channeling and collecting this magic through their tails and hair.
Merfolk: Creatures that live in the water and delight in water based pranks, misleading boaters and drowning those who are foolish enough to get too close to them.
Scotodino: Dark and terrible is what the name means (roughly), a demon that isn't necessarily pleasant, and have terrible social skills. Family and social structure based on pecking order in which the weaker members are degraded and labeled.
Werewolf: Any mortal that transforms into a wolf during the full moon.
Werewolf(Perpetual): So far only one exists. The full moon has a negative effect on the mind but the rest of the month it is just a normal wolf with human characteristics (upright stance, opposable thumbs and speech)
Wolf-elf: A result of elves who liked to disguise as wolves too much, eventually they became wolves and started to form their own packs, leaving the elf life behind. Regular elves don't regard them as real "elfs", more like halfbreeds.
Zombie/undead: Any mortal or otherwise who has returned from death in either a corpse body without a soul or free will. Does not apply to all, some may have a soul that is the moving force of the body besides other common factors for zombies. Different from vampires in that they do not feed on blood and unless they are a certain type will be mostly harmless.
Vampires: Creatures that must feed of the blood of mortals to sustain their existence or their powers.
Vampires are stronger and faster than mortals and their powers include hypnotism and the ability to transform into small animals or wolves. They can be killed by sunlight and they are repelled by silver weapons and holy water. Destroying the heart and decapitation will do it as well.
Ancient: From the first vampire race, the most powerful of vampires and now the rarest.
Dhampir: A half vampire born of a human and vampire, usually hunts and kills vampires.
Elites: A term coined by Rodericke himself, he meant it as more of an insult. A super-powerful race of vampire mutants that seem all but impossible to kill as they are immune to all that usually kills a vampire, thanks to an "energy spirit" outside the body. Elites can make other elites but only if they want to. Normal vampires can pass it on by accident unless they destroy the body after a feeding.
Pureblood:A vampire that was born of two vampire parents of the ancient race. Also may include those with one parent that is a sireling. Those are usually referred to as "second generation".
Spawn/sirelings: Any vampire that was formerly human or otherwise, bitten by another vampire or turned somehow.
