Or, you could, y'know, try a more agressive approach.

Hokay. Time to get back on topic.
Amelius, do you happen to have any other older drawings of yours? It's nice to see how much you have improved since you started. ^_^ It gives the rest of us artists hope that maybe one day we won't be as bad as we are now.

Yes indeedy I do have more, for now here's that page I promised to show youse with Charby's one-time sleeping upside-down ^_^ also, we see where he lived before he moved to the cabin, and would sleep there by himself once in a while, Tony often hung out there with him too but in this comic apparently they had a party going on ^_^ Oh gaww, Hector's head is so mishapen! That's what happens when I draw with just a pen from a hotel and crayons ! Does this need translation? my handwriting in atrocious... Edit:whoa, looking at this with AOL, I realize how much AOL really sucks...Good lord, the things it did to this jpeg! All under the guise of "loading fast"...so full of crap >_<

Wow, it IS old-looking... Tony wouldn't really be the type to say "sorry, dude" anymore, yeah?
And Hexavier isn't there. Hector came before Hex?

YAY! I likes this one, it's an interesting alternative to the way the plot went in the final version. I don't think Hector would take meeting the whole gang very well, especially considering the sheer number of them all by this point!

Hope yer ready 'cuz it's time for more old art! Booyah! (oooo my insides huurrrt) Now, to start us off, I have this. It is older than dirt, the scan is kinda cruddy but it's the best I could do. My ferrets spilled Linatone over half of it (an oily treat they are nuts about) so half of this was dark yellow. My goodness, this is like..what, the 3rd drawing of Zeno, who knows how many Charbys and Menus before this...and the second drawing of Tony. The Anubis/Jackal mummy at the end was going to be a character too but decided to steer away from all the cliche monster-movie gathering things and dropped the mummy. His name was Mutthamankhen (Mutt for short) and hes was set to be Menu's rival and best pal. And here we have Tony, and one of my ever popular (at home that is) pose pages, where I used to draw as many pictures of one character that I could fit on a page. I placed along the top, however: Tony's first ever sketch, one frome a later pose page (that was really the only interesting one) and a drawing from last summer I did for new pen practice. Tony has taken about as dramatic a character design change as Charby, but while his out has not migrated, his hair certainly has. It used to be stringy like spider legs, as I based it a lot on the original design and didn't pay much attention how it made his hair look like it was thinning rather than just messy. (ugh, dead images, I dunno why half show up and others disappear!) Here is a basic look at his change too. I tried to draw him in the old style based on the actual comics rather than the pose page I showed above, so iy may look a little off in comparison. I never did draw him without his hat back in the old style so I was interested in seeing what that looked like. the two on the right are this old style, the left is from a big chunk of the archives in the Bic/Crayola in a folder version of CTV. And of course the last is a little more rcent of the design. And for the sake of it, a show of the change of expressions to compare to the old ones, just because. Next character? Who knows! I'll probably drag in more pose pages too. ^_^

OMG! Tony was so cute in the old style. But he's just plain sexy in the new ones XD Like that last one with his hat off, the second page. ... YAY!
That mummy character could have been cool, actually. With a mummy you'd have pretty much everything XP

O____O Oh. My. Good. Gravy train. Sooooo much Tony... all so CUTE! I wanna hug him and squeeze him and take him home with me to live forever and ever and *continues to rant in a suspiciously Elmyra-esque way* *eventually collapses into a twitching pile of awesome-ness* (Oh dear, I think that broke DB's brain)

Aww, Daybreak stole my reaction. I wasn't going to put it in those exact words, but you've caught my mood completely. Yes, Tony is downright sexy right now. Mm, German vampire-type demon with funky hairstyles... Aheheheh, this is me, 3 hours since I turned on my laptop and I stil haven't gotten out of bed yet.

Yay for Tony! He rules soooooo much! He used to be such a dork, but now he's cool and sappy and lovable and mysterious at times.

. . . Th-the sexyness of Tony is too great for me. I bow down =_= I am unworthy of all of the Tonyful greatness! I especially love the picture of sitting Tony on the second to last panel ^___^
(Zerlocke sometime, perhaps?)

Tony roxx0rs. Hard. I love that lil' Alp! And I agree with Shippo; Zerlocke. Because he's my hero. And that's because he's a slightly exaggerated version of myself.

WEll, then Zerlocke it is! I don't have any decent "recent" pictures yet, I'll post them when I do (they're mostly unfinished at this point) but I do have a gaggle of old cruddy pictures! So here, for your eye-burning delight, I found out in the "old stuff" thread that the picture there is NOT the first ever Zerlocke drawing *le gaspe!* ( I found it buried in my closet while searching for "nice" clothes) This, horrible thing however is, and he is accompanied by Charby and two badly drawn precursors of the Petrucci sisters! How delightfully stereotypically goth they are, no? I think the twins in the hallway in "the Shining" may have had too much infleuntial play on my hands at the time. Except they look like bugs with pigtails >_< A little later, I tweaked their designs quite a bit, gave the sisters an individual look apart from Charby's (at first all elites were to have red eyes and black hair, I decided that would be lame) Then, I made that nice jacket for him and started thinking of his weapon of choice...I like this axe better than the one he has now, but that design would have been a pain too (Zeno's scythe gives me all the trouble in the world already) I wanted to work on his character too, instead of him being simply a cold evil villain (as he started iff as in the orginal comic) I wanted him to have a sad side to him too, which led me to do a series of the characters looking contemplative in a detailed background scene. Did the same for Kavonn and Victor as well. Anyhow, Here we have Zerlocke sitting uncomfortably slpay-legged in a tree. Ouch man! But that's how I sat in trees that had branches like that to keep balance, though not quite as far as that...basicacally I was drawing this in my new pen, made a mistake with branch-position...and looks like I broke his arm in the process ^_^ And the last thing I have for now, is Zer's first appearance in his beasty form! Not much I can say about it really other than that...I'll try to get some new images up for comparisons though ^_^

^-^ I love seeing how far they've come... Zerlocke doesn't even look like the romantic type he is later in the first one. ^-^
Hehehe... They do look like bugs with pigtails.

But cute bugs, still. I think that the first one of Zerly is cool. It would have been interesting to have him as a ruthless killer type, he's so MUSHY and emotional right now...I can't think of who you should do next...there's so many. How about Vic? Or maybe the Floaty Bear?

The twins look almost venomous like that. I almost wonder what the comic would be likeif you'd stuck with the old style?

Awww... If you had stuck with the old Zerlocke, I wouldn't have gotten so attached to him! We wouldn't have our adorably love-struck, axe-wielding, crazily-obsessed elite! I like him just the way he is ^__^
