Alright, I am just posting this because im getting seriously worried. It appears to me that people are posting less and less these days, and I know that people visit here, but if things keep slowing at this rate it wont be long until nobody posts at all.
There has been some past acknowledgment of this difficult situation, but as soon as the prospect of actual action came up, the thread was left to die.
This is my favorite forum. I dont want it to die. I think it is important to try to do something, even if we fail, because I think that trying in itself would be a sort of victory.
I know we all still have lives and I know that we still have stuff to talk about, but for some reason we no longer do so. I know we have what it takes to get this forum rolling again, if everybody who wanted it to get going would put some effort into it.
So what are we going to do?

Dunno... I really only post when I feel I have something relavant to say. Which isn't often.

Apathy has laid waste to our beautiful forum! I blame Sloth... *glares at harmless purple blob* Sorry I haven't been doing my part to be very helpful. *solemn promise to encourage posting* Maybe if there was a private message sent out to all those lurkers and folks what have forgotten their account existed about the lack-of-postingness going on, perhaps we'd get a few more active members... Whatcha guys think of it?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I know our dragon-drawing friend Lysinias is extremely busy with college recently, and the trend doesn't seem likely to let up any time soon (and I mean not for month, if not years). I myself see her only once a week on AIM, and she's pretty much my best friend ever. That's why she stopped coming. But maybe once things settle down--like when she graduates--she might come back. I'll ask her next time I sees her, if I remembers. =) Jus' dun forget about her, or her lovely artworks. Go look in her old art thread and reminisce!! ("reminisce" is a complicated word... And no one understand him but his woman.)

I think it would be more action if Amy where here a bit often since its why people come here in the first place, to ask questions about the comic, talk about the art and simillar. most people ask directly at the comic ( the message thing ) and Amy answers there. so really this forums doesnt have any point anylonger if you understand how i mean.
aswell if there was more activness by the mods and more clear things what they actually can do it would be intresting, like if we can start a contest that doesnt really have any prize but exist for the fun.. and i dont know anymore >_< im quite sleepy had trouble sleeping again..
and there is a way to post to everyone, there is 2 ways. one is where the forums posts to all e-mail and another to post to all private messages.

I don't have the ability to post on the comic anyway, so maybe a "current events", like the ones I've started for the Joyride and Doodles in Time forums might be a way for ME to post, at any rate. =3
Then again, like on the forum, I only comment(ed) on the comic was when I felt I had something to say...

'All That'? You want LESS of 'All That'?! Well, sure, the new version(s) stink. But the OLD ones, with Kevin and Kell, and that one girl who looked like Rose O'Donald who was always at her desk playing with a slinky or something, and that one little black kid, and Amanda Bynes. I THINK Amanda Bynes used to be on that show. Not quite sure. I remember one of the first introductions of All That. It was black and white, and everyone was dressed in nifty old school outfits, and the little black kid was wearing a zoot suit and holding a rose between his teeth. Those were the days.
You know what we should do? We should bring back the 90's.

Ive seen all of it, I dont like it at all. i think its to silly, too much screaming etc.. not at all my kind of humor, anyway back to topic.
So does anyone want to change this or shall we dance around it until it really happens or wait for someone else to fix?

New board system, new members, more publicity.

I say we move Charby on to BuzzComix and TopWebComics.com. That way, it'll be easier to vote for instead of writing out a comment and forgetting to put a rating in, but that's just me. Sorry if I offended anyone with that offtopic post.

Any kind of action would be more likely to have a positive effect than no action at all.

I very rarely post to the forum unless I really have a point to make... or defend. I do tend to read over the forum from time to time, but certainly not every day. Time constraints often restrict my time on line at all. I also find forums difficult to "dig through" after a while. Is it possible to archive dead topics so they can be visited but not clutter up the active topics? I realize that by nature, some topics must stay active (recent photos, drawing tips, etc.), but others could possibly be sent to a non-active area.

That was the cornerstone of my own little recovery scheme, but it didnt get much attention.
The only necessary thing to do would be to create a thread with a bunch of links to other threads that can bear the weight of continuous use and sticky it in the general board or something. It would counter the effect of the intimidating size of the forum. The only thing to think on would be what threads should be links.
I still think it would be a good idea.

I rarely check here anymore >.> Maybe more interesting threads would be good. I mean, Like one interesting thread that could be a little off-topic instead of a bunch of dead ones that people are afraid to post in.

I think the only way to make it a better forum is to get a forum webmaster, someone that makes a whole new that looks neat and all. otherwhise this forum hosting service has the best layout and all, ive been trying another type wich was way to restricted...

Keep in mind that if we move forums, all of the posts in this forum would be lost. All of the hard work Amelius has done with answering questions and posting character bios would either have to be transfered (A daunting task) or would be stuck in this forum.
As for my silence? University + work have eaten all of my time. I barely find time to eat, let alone do anything I enjoy. >.< And sleep? What sleep?

I think a new forum is a bad idea. It won't help anything, except make a lot more work. And you'd be an admin on this new forum? I spy a motive! Anyway, we have a lot of stuff on this forum that would take forever to transfer, if we even do. If you don't like the system, no one's forcing you to come here. As the saying goes: Just because you don't like fermented beans doesn't mean they'll stop making natto!

It's not that i don't like the system, it's the layout, the colors are too dark, it needs more contrast. If dogs could use computers, they would get lost here. BTW that thing has character sheets! A little treat for forum rpg's i know you guys love. I'm activating it!
