Well that makes sense. I mean some of the carrots I had looked a bit scary, like they had a black scuff mark on the outside of them. Wouldn't wash out, I really hesitated to eat them.
Do you, or anyone else for that matter, have a recipie for scones. I mean what I made was...well..really bad.
Made a rendition of Macaroni and cheese that I liked so much I had it two days in a row.
3X Shitake Mushrooms 1/8th Onion some Meat Cheese Macaroni egg alinquat of butter
Boil macaroni. While boiling stir fry shitake mushrooms, onions, butter and meat. Drain macaroni when done and toss in with the stir fry stuff. Stir a bit then add the eggs and as much cheese as desireable. Serve once the cheese is melted.
I gotta say this is my favorite concuction so far.

Probably Not So Awesome Pasta Sauce (See disclaimer below.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Warning: Results may vary depending on the quality of produce and meat your local grocers. This is a VERY quick version of something I usually spend most of my day doing. I feel like I've left something out, so don't hate me if it didn't come out like planned. I haven't slept well lately.
Ingredients needed
3 lb fresh tomatos. 1 lb fresh mushrooms 1 1/2 lb ground beef (better if between 85% and 93% lean.) 1/4cup minced or ground parsley or basil 1/3 cup minced onion 1/4 minced or ground garlic bulb 1/2 TBSP oregano *Note: Experiment with various herbs and spices at your discretion. I give the core here, but I always tweak and modify my cooking. It's more fun when it's unpredictable. Equipment needed:
A pot large enough to hold all of the ingredients simultaneously.
A long handled spoon to stir the sauce as it cooks
A pan to cook the beef in. A spatula
A cutting board and knife (Use this with caution. The sauce will have enough meat in it without the addition of a finger or two.)
Prior to cooking, you will want to prepare some things.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tomato Preparation:
two thirds of the tomatos need to be skinned, diced and turned into a paste. If you wish, you can skip skinning and just dice them.
put the diced tomatos into the large pot, and use the long handled spoon to achieve the desired effect.
The other third of the tomatos need to be skinned and diced in irregular chunks, no larger than 3/4" square.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mushroom Preparation:
This is my favorite part. Basically you're cutting the mushrooms in different ways. Cut some in quarters, others in semi-thin slices... It'll have an effect on how your sauce feels. I think you'll like it. Just experiment. If you're using small mushrooms (less than 1" sq) leave some whole.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Herbs and spices
I use a mortar and pestle to crush them, if you can, I would advise it. If not, you want to cut them into fine pieces.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ COOKING
Cook ground beef first, adding HALF your minced herbs, spices, and mushrooms in just before the meat is finished cooking through. The cooking should break down the beef leaving no particularly large chunks. Continue cooking it after it is cooked through, not only to ensure food safety but also to allow the flavor of the herbs to soak into the meat, and the flavor of the meat to soak into the mushrooms. Drain about 3/4ths of the grease, but do not lose anything else. Cover, and keep warm over low heat, stirring occasionally for the duration of the preparation.
*Note: Do not undercook meat. Trust me on that.
Half of the tomatos have been turned into a paste in the pot. Add the diced chunks of tomato into it. Heat over medium flame, adding in the other half of your mushrooms, herbs and spices. Continue to heat, stirring frequently until sauce is simmering. Add the contents of the pan you cooked the beef in.
Cook for another five to ten minutes, stirring constantly, serve hot.
Makes about six pounds. How many servings? Depends on how much you like the sauce.
Unofficial Disclaimer (So if it comes out good I can claim it, but if it comes out bad I can wash my hands of it and say "ooops"): When I make sauce, I don't measure ANYTHING. So don't blame me if one thing or another isn't quite right. I did it by mathematical calculation, and trust me, that's a dangerous thing from a sleep deprived mind.
Part of me wants to run and hide... but I'm too tired. I'm going to sleep.
