it's gorgeous! a really nice fish tank. I can see why it was so expensive. (it's because it's awesome right?)

Nice. I know I'd love it if I were a fish.

thanks much i'm going to have to extend the time to add keeper fish for a time as i'm going to add some guppies to bump up the ammonia and start a nitrogen cycle. needs me some bacteria in the tank.

It's funny how unhealthy that sounds.

Post by Odin on Mar 1, 2011 1:31:48 GMT -5
it is. but a proper amount of nitrifying bacteria in the tank will assist me in saving many cichlid lives. I'm thinking Jewel Cichlids because someone on Cichlid-forums said I could keep a few along with some dithers.

good starts but they nip fins and may not be suitable for my tank or my dad's community tank.

OOH! Name one of them Phineas.

i've aquired a platty and two mollies for the tank to see how they do. I was going to use rosy reds but I don't think they could take the temperature that i'm set at presently.

What colors are they?
|
|
|
Post by Odin on Mar 2, 2011 2:41:36 GMT -5
the mollies are black and the platty is orange. I wansn't particular about the colors because they won't be in the tank when the cichlids are introduced. They get rewarded with the right to be in my dad's 20 gallon community tank. It's heavilly planted so i'm sure they will enjoy it.

Well, they'll be placeholders of aesthetics until the time comes, so... they need to be pretty anyway. But I suppose it doesn't really matter.

i like to watch them. The mollies have distinct size differences and the platty seems to be a loner.

Aw. I hope that doesn't mean he's lonely.

i'mnot sure i'mgoing to take another look at it real quick. he may be not sure. but i can't afford to put anything else in the tank because there will be no room for the community tank for it.

I see... Such control we have over creatures... It is, in a way, godlike... Hmm... I think sleep deprivation has made me a bit crazy.

I want a goat... but because they're way to big and expensive, a rat would be awesome. (fish are cool too)

I want an albino ferret. They are the cyootest of cutest of fluffy widdle animals. They are capable of melting my heart with their adorableness.

That's five more than I have. So, you said one of them did not have a name? What're the names of the ones that do? And which one's this?
