Hmm... it appears to be primarily for manga, so I don't know if an artist would be up for a webcomic.

I'm 3 years younger than you. That's not all that much... Now, if you were, say 50, well then, calling us children would be much more logical.

Nuh uh! I got some gray hairs and my nasolabial lines are clearly visible! Visible!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go and lament about how this generations' television programming is clearly inferior to my own.

Yeah? Well, taste in media is a poor basis for age. I enjoy the Marx Brothers movies, whereas I don't find Family Guy funny in the Least. I listen to the Beatles... Heck, I listen to Scott Joplin. Heck, I even listen to old Celtic folk songs. By taste standards, I should be dead by now. But, my tastes are far more eclectic than average, so whatever.

I agree with Sushiboy. People are different so they have different tastes. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if I would look on a toddler program and actually like it. No, it's not because I'm stupid XD

I never liked the shows I was supposed to when I was younger. They were too childish even then. But on occasion, I do enjoy some shows targeted at a younger audience. Avatar:The Last Airbender, for example, was targeted at kids 6-11, but at 19, I think it's awesome. My tastes are eclectic to be sure, but I was raised with nearly every genre of every media.

I like kids programs more than adult ones generally speaking. If I wanted reality I would watch a documentary and I get enough negative emotions from reality. Part of why I like CTV, there is a dark side, but it gets dealt with. I never quite went for gratuitious gore and violence - although with a reason I likes it very much! I don't like soaps where people weep and moan all day. Ok, weep and moan, but at least have a good reason.

I ship Tokka.
(The following rant has been modified and compressed for your convenience): One of the reasons I don't like most media today is the lack of individuality. Being that TV is written to appeal to such a large target audience, you have to make it so that the least amount of people will dislike it, instead of making it more enjoyable for a much more specific(smaller) audience. It's quantity over quality. Plot lines are changed, characters altered, and so on just to appeal to move viewers and that makes the majority of shows incredible similar in many ways. CTV is written for those who'll enjoy it, not for everybody to enjoy it. Quality over quantity.

I don't like to ship. xp
And that is a shame, because you look at the quality programs out there, and they really do have a solid following. I mean, Avatar got enough fans behind it to make a theater movie. Not a tv movie, a theater movie. (No comment on how good it was since I haven't seen it) Now, look at the other... shows... on TV. They don't nearly have enough true fanpower behind them. I mean, they might have corporate fanpower (generated through gratuitous pushing of merchendise) but the corporation has to PUSH the fanbase, tell them 'this is what you want'. With well-written shows, they dont' have to do that. People are drawn in for the show, and then they could make even more money off of it instead of wasting dough on ads and that sort of crap. Sadly, they don't invest in quality and you get a load of crappy 'shows' that nobody will care to remember next generation.

I'm not so sure how modern the curse is, I mean, every generation has good stuff and cheap knockoffs. You tend to forget about the knockoffs. I've seen a few mentioned that I'd completely forgot, and presently forgotten again (Privelage of us semi-aged).

*Le gasp* This place is not died after all! There are frequent commenters! Now all we need to do is maintain it and get more people in here.
Also, I agree with the previous two posts, but am unable to think of a response beyond that point.

Very true, Sushiboy. This place is not dead, although some parts of it are still rather diserted. Maybe we can attract more attention by populating the 'discussion' part of the forums more? I mean, that's what I came here for. Talkin' 'bout CTV. -nod-

I'm very happy to see that! I can't wait to talk about CTV more! But there are parts of the forum I haven't seen, and for the past week and a half I've been searching through the forum, and most posts stopped being replied since 2007 or 2008. That's entirely a shame
