This is some of my poems, they're not as good as Nieni, but they're mine, so here goes:
Dive
You thought that you could give up the dive, You thought it was a one-time ride,
That man on the corner you thought was your friend, He just pushed you in.
You thought that you could give up the dive, you thought it was a one-time ride
The dive felt good, And you felt bad You had a strange emptiness inside.
You thought that you could give up the dive, You thought it was a one-time ride
The more you dived, the better you felt The emptiness grew until it was you, and all you wanted to do Was dive. [glow=red,2,300]-----------------------------------[/glow] Have You Ever
Have you ever lived my life? Walked minute in my shoes?
Have you ever given help to someone you didn’t really like? Or fought for them a battle you didn’t really need to fight?
Have you ever asked a question about something you understood, To help out a stranger whose pride did them no good?
Have you ever taken a complete stranger in your arms, to comfort them while they cried? And simply let them, without demanding to know why?
Have you ever helped a girl no one else gave the time of day, Gather up her belongings and get her on her way?
Have you ever supported a friend in a decision you wish they wouldn’t make? And then been there for them when you heard their heart break?
Have you ever been late for class because your friend broke down in the hall? Ever made someone laugh who was feeling very small?
Have you ever been a confidante? A friendly pair of ears? Someone they can talk to and to whom they can reveal their fears?
Have you ever seen a friend hurt themselves and listen to their plight? But know you can do nothing to help them see the light?
Have you ever lived my life? Walked one minute in my shoes?
Then tell me why you judge me as you do. [glow=red,2,300]----------------------------------[/glow] Wandering
Though many years I’ve wandered I’ve lost not a one In rain and sleet and snow and ice And the hot scorching sun
So when I finally found you, My angel from above, At last I was free to feel That emotion we call love
So many times I’ve missed you, So many times I’ve cried, So many times the nightmares come Of the night you died.
And though it’s been so many years Since you were called away, I haven’t forgotten you, Not for a single day.
You saved me in so many ways I can’t begin to say So when my time finally comes And in the earth I lay
I will be with you again On the other side My wandering soul may rest For from you the truth need never hide. [glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------[/glow] Okay this next one is something called an 'I Am' poem. My poem wasn't exactly what my teacher asked for:
Who I Am
I am useless I wonder why I hear shouting I see anger I want freedom I am a failure
I pretend I’m not here I feel pain I touch my scars I worry about tomorrow I cry to myself I am bad
I understand nothing I say nothing I dream nothing I try to disappear I hope to die I am abused
That's all of my real life type poems. I also have a couple fantasy ones, if any one wants 't see 'em.

Heh. Not really. Thanks Nieni, 'Wandering's my favorite. 'Dive' is from three years ago, and 'Too Long' is from four or five. You guys are lucky, I never show my poetry to anybody. 'Have You Ever' is the only one that's really about me though. 'Wandering' is written from a character's point of veiw.

They're not that great. The other two have much better ability.
'Wandering' is written from the perspective of my character Naomi. She's 453 years old and has been married twice, the poem's about her second husband.

Meh-heh. Thanks. I like that one a lot too. Was feeling kinda angsty and angry at the world. Been feeling that way again lately, gotten some pretty nifty drawings out of it. I might have to scan them in.

So, here's the result of my creative writing class, pretty crappy, but here it is.
Black Cat
The black cat gleams like the blackest of night Slinking through my dreams She makes an incredible sight
A huntress of nightmares A chaser of a great dream Into my eyes she stares Her golden eyes beam
Through the night she follows me Eyes reflecting the moon A relentless shadow is she Until the sun chases her from my room
[glow=red,2,300]-------------------------------------------[/glow]
I Am
I am a smile, gentle and free A whisper in the wind A wolf stretching at the base of a tree A song about needing to mend I’m an odd number, such as three A bike or the car of a friend A big comfy chair is what’s for me A sweet-tart, sometimes I’m kind, others I offend A different drum, tuned to a tee A forest that no one need tend A sturdy sapling, I’m growing, you see I fear those who’s minds can’t take another bend The words I hide are only for me
[glow=red,2,300]----------------------------------------------[/glow]
Life
In the yard Life is abundant Though the squirrels Get rather redundant
Every while A snake slithers by Looking at me, on the hard ground With a expression stating ‘Why?’
Cats tightrope walk Across the swings The trees, the fence And other things
But the things I love the most Are the trees All life’s host
[glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------------------[/glow]
My Name
My name is something special I hold it in my heart Never have I written it down Or has it from my lips depart
I keep my name a secret And I hold it close to me I want to let it out to shine Soon the world shall see
But for now it is my own Something that I will hide It won’t be much longer now I can’t keep it bottled up inside
[glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------------------[/glow]
My Shadow
My shadows laugh is crisp and clear She’s everything I’m not Memories I locked away Days that I forgot
She is quite the optimist Though she resides upon the ground I think, as she chatters on, ‘My opposite I’ve found.’
She’s light as a feather, Free as a breeze A gentle spirit Who laughs with ease
[glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------------------[/glow]
Nature
The trees are many colors As the leaves begin to fall And though I used to love it here Now I hate it all
The sound of birds is missing The swish of foxes tails The leaves crunch under no paw And the cricket’s chirping fails
It used to be so beautiful here Before the houses came Now with the new development It will never be the same
[glow=red,2,300]-------------------------------------------------[/glow]
Stories
My head is filled With fairies wings Pixies, elves, And many things
New characters Dance around Taunting, daunting Hiding to be found
So many times my grasp they slip and dive back into my mindpool with a stunning flip
[glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------------------[/glow]
They Tell Me That
They tell me that I’m skinny, They tell me that they’re fat. All they want is to be consoled Their voices tell me that.
They tell me that I’m different They tell me what’s to blame I tell them it would be boring. If we were all the same
They tell me that I’m smart, They tell me that they’re not, Then they try to get from me, Answers they’ve not sought
They tell me lots and lots of things, Mainly things I know, But, I think I’m happiest When they tell me they’ve got to go.
[glow=red,2,300]--------------------------------------------------[/glow]
Where I come from
I come from a forest Deep in the trees When I was there I could do as I please
It’s been so long now that my memory fades I’m afraid that I will lose it one of these days
It was so peaceful So sublime But most of all It was mine
[glow=red,2,300]-------------------------------------------------[/glow]
Wild
In the wild Free from all My senses take the lead While caution takes a fall
I run through Brush, bramble, and thorn My skin cut My clothing torn
A wild spirit dwells within me Daring me to take a leap ‘Soon,’ I tell it, ‘Soon I will.’ That promise I will keep
[glow=green,2,300]~~~~*****~~~~[/glow] Sorry there are so many. That's about it though. If we write more then I'll post it though.

Take it as a compliment, 'cause some people can defintely post too much. Though I haven't really seen any of those types here...

Well, thanks then. Anyway, I made this up on my way to my art class a while back. I think I was channeling Zerlocke.
Tell me temptress, wretched and foul, Under skin, and skirts and cowl, does thy blackened heart still beat under guise of flower sweet?

Yay! I made a poem about a very violent person that can pretty much be applied to anyone in the Charby cast if you change one word in the 5th paragraph-well, except for Mye and Mannic, of course.
*ahem* You slice and you cut and you disembowel, But what does that get you out of life? You bite and steal and punch and kick, You make nothing but strife.
You love your weapons, you know That people are scared on the streets. They’re scared of you, you think of with glee That people are scared out of their wits.
But again, the question, What does this give you? Does it give you pleasure To make people rue you?
Don’t give me that, I know that I’m cruel Asking you these questions that doubt. But we cannot ignore that all important fact That people’s lives you love to wipe out. Why this destruction? Why all this despair? Why do you-wait, why that knife?! Now that’s just REALLY unfair.
I’m really not that good, I taste like year-old dirt! DON’T YOU GET NEAR ME, YOU DEMONIC FIEND- Gck, sputtle, splurt.

I particularly liked Where I Come From. It reminded me of Rehiro and his story about his forest being cut down.
I really admire you poetic types, I just can't do anything but haikus.

I like haikus. They come naturally to me. I wrote one based on Stephen King's Firestarter for school once. I'll put it here, although you should REALLY be going to my DeviantArt site to see it. Warning: spoilers. Don't read if you wanna read the book.

My only other haiku is this one, based on Super Mario Bros.
I don't like mushrooms. They seem to make plumbers grow. Turtles quake in fear.

I do limericks too. Let me put this one here, coz it'll be deleted from the other board later. It's a remark on the spam we encounter from time to time.
There once was a guest who did spam. All of his links were a sham. No admins were around; And so, without a sound, The members beat him with a battering ram.
