Rehiro let out a psychic message to his Wolves. The flames disappeared suddenly, leaving what was once Pig Town a giant crater in the earth, the little platform of unharmed land standing out.
"We're going to set up camp here-"
Trandar attacked Rehiro from behind with his spear. Before he managed to pierce flesh, Rehiro bent his arm backwards and grabbed the shaft of the spear and flipped Trandar over his shoulder. Trandar, going along with his graceful acrobatic routine glided through the air, intending to use Rehiro's own move against him. He bared his claws but Rehiro grabbed him by the back of his neck with unrealistic speed and smashed his face into the dirt.
"We're going to set up camp here where we can't be attacked via dimensional ambush. We'll force the Caretaker to create an army of treeborn as a defense with Zokoren's pack of souls, and we'll try to overpower anything that comes our way. The Caretaker will cooperate because this one has a bizarre fixation on life. Make him create them one by one, threatening his life to do just that. If he makes a bunch at once he might kill you. I'm going to leave you guys and I'm going to send for a translator so that you can communicate with the prisoners. I think they're important. I'm taking Tracker and Striker with me. Hunter will be my replacement. If he says not to trust my translator, don't. I'll be observing and talking through him. I'm going to send Biter to get this translator. While I'm gone, Zokoren is Second in Command, but if Hunter talks against him, that's who you listen to, got it? Sham, wrap things up with that prisoner, Krowin stop playing dead, and Daxelore, I know you're awake and heard everything I said. Convey the information to anyone who didn't hear, I'll be watching you so say everything correctly."
With that, Rehiro whipped out a thick rope and bound Trandar up, Biter ran off and teleported. Rehiro began rummaging though his stuff. He picked up a small wooden wheeled carrier, and latched it to one of the raptors.
"I'm taking one of your raptors Krowin" he said, and Striker, Tracker, him and the raptor left the carriage.

(Just so I don't have to keep saying it, all of Serin's actions and words aren't really her... She's just acting at the moment.)
Serin watched, wide-eyed. She glanced over to check on Sharlei. Sharlei was quiet, trembling. The explosives had scared her badly. Serin looked back over at the creatures that had taken them captive and twisted her hands together. Going over to Trandar, she sat, not shifting her gaze away from their captors.
"What are we going to do?" she muttered under her breath, hoping her voice wouldn't carry to anyone other than Trandar, voice shaking slightly. Inwardly, she was calm, her mind running through possible escape routes... with or without the rest of the group.

In a flash, Sham was behind Serin and Trandar, and taking out a thick rope, grabbed at Serin's hands, binding them. She kicked Trandar in the side sharply to get his arms to loosen, then tied them.

" Riva had been following Biter, she was a bit excited but did everything to not show it. when she finally where at the destination she stopped by the others tipping her head ' I am the translator ' that would do enough as an introduction for now she thougth. after all she where here to do her job. she watched Sham in her/his actions, she didnt want to interfere since she wasnt to sure what was going on. But if she would get any bad ideas and attack her she stood ready, almost like aiming a bow but only mentally "

"OW!" Trandar replied to the kick Sham delt him. To Serin he said "calm down, they obviously didn't kill us for a reason. I've seen society's of people get slaughtered before, and it's always pretty harsh, but anyone could see that we're the oddities here. We're the main characters. We shouldn't get killed off so quick. Now what do you think of this situation? What do you think we should do? C'mon Glen and Pulk, I know you guys must have some talent. Else I never would have met you in the first place. What are your opinions?".
Daxelore lifted his head to look Glen in the eyes. He couldn't believe that he had lost a fight! He couldn't accept it, it was impossible! Knowing that the goblin had joined in the fray made him a target of his displaced anger. The object of his now unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Scrabling over on all fours he dashed toward Glen and grabbed him by the shoulders.
"You little punk, you just had to interfere, didn't you?! I'm gonna tear your throat out with my teeth and-"
Krowin, wrenching his nose back into place with a wince ran worriedly toward Daxelore "Daxelore! You can'd hurd hib, Rehiro seb-"
Daxelore slashed backwards at Krowin, fingernails growing into claws and nicked him in the shoulder, but appeared to get the message, for he released his grip and simply glared at Glen predatorily. Glen symbolized his own failure and weakness, and he hated him passionately now.
If Zokoren was out of commission, then normally that would make Sham leader, but Krowin felt like a responsible person since he'd stopped Daxelore from acting crazy, so he took the opportunity to be the one to talk to Riva.
"Heddo, I am Krowib. I ab resbonsible fo' dimensidal transpordation ad ab dee enerdy madibulader of Team Rehiro. Rehiro caddot be here ride now ad 'is segond in coband id oud ub cubission. We were jusd in a fide ad we toog sub pridoners. We caddot tog to dib doe, ad we deed somebody do relay our message. Cad you dell dem dat if dey cooberate, we will dot harb dem?"
His nose was pouring blood and taking a toll on his ability to pronounciate.

Glen snarled viciously for a mere instant as the bat-thing grabbed his shoulders, but as the creature backed off somewhat, it became a snide, almost malicious grin, large, yellowish eyes staring evenly into Daxelore's, welling with a sort of sarcastic glee. Allready making friends, Glen, and you've only been here a few seconds. This one's got a temper that would make even the lads back home almost 'human'. Heheh... Human, indeed. You're getting sidetracked. Don't do what you want to, this time around. No matter how bloody easy he makes it, there will be no spitefull pestering... Eh- what do you care? He's angry as sin already. You don't want another fight- keep things relaxed. ...Relaxed? What are you thinking?! You jumped him. There's no way he's forgetting that in a hurry... Let the pigeon seeth... But keep aware. Pay attention. Focus.
Smile. Just a bit too much.

Rehiro, in the woulds, thinking: A Wolf needs to eat Treeborn to survive, and around here there would soon be two locations where Treeborn could be located. It would be the Team Rehiro camp in Pig Town and the Tree of Life he learned of from the Caretaker Treeborn back at the camp.
He had told them to force the Caretaker to make his Treeborn one at a time because if he were allowed to make them all at once he would surely make them turn on Team Rehiro. Treeborn matured quickly though, and were bound to triggers, and when they were grown as fast as it was obvious he wanted, they were brain dead and knew nothing but those triggers. If the Caretaker made them malicious toward Team Rehiro, they would instantly attack, and if it was only one it would easily be destroyed and the Caretaker would be marked. So the Caretaker would be forced to make one at a time, and since they were treating him aggressively, he would need to balance out their innate triggers so that they wouldn't attack them, and that would mean that he would need to make them fond of Team Rehiro, and then any thought of rebellion would be pointless.
It frustrated him that the reason he lost the Wolf in the first place was dumb luck. He'd been cutting it pretty thin when he had originally formulated his plan, but he was known for being able to tell exactly the strength's and weaknesses of his opponent, and that was the best shot they had had. If that Marked cat person hadn't had an enchanted weapon and if those four Treeborn mercenaries hadn't shown up and attacked Sham and him, the plan would have been a success.
Hopefully things would still turn out.....
"Oh, you are just trying to get killed, aren't you?!" Daxelore shouted at Glen. He paced around in a circle on all fours, flapped his wings aggressively and sat in a crouched position, glaring at Glen.
This situation not be so bad if they had a form of communication, Trandar thought, looking at Riva, "Okay" he said "ask them why they killed all those pigs, but the didn't kill us."
(OOC: You guys can ask Team Rehiro any questions you want now, and Sham can play the role of leader of Daxelore and Krowin while Zokoren is out of commission, if she wants.)

Sham glanced at Daxelore, and strode a few paces nearer to him. "Don't agitate that thing, Daxelore. If you screw this up, I'm not taking the blame." Sham said loudly enough for him to hear it. She surveyed the group with one eye quickly, to gauge their threat. The wolf and the cat were the only ones who had looked the least bit threatening to her, but she should keep her guard up just in case. She didn't want a stupid mistake to mess this mission up.

((Sorry, sorry, sorry! I haven't been here awhile, but its certainly no avoidance! I totally needed to be doing something else, and the reason I didnt get on for so long is because im really stupid and incompetent, but its all over with now! Lets rock!))
"I'm not meddling!" Said Trandar, using his most innocent voice, "I simply am curious. I guess maybe it's not such a bright idea considering curiosity did kill a cousin of mine, but c'mon, you said I could talk to them! That's all I want to do! I was just wonderin' y'know, since those guys did just commit mass murder, and you did just say that we could talk to them, why they didn't kill us, y'know? Seems to be the natural question to ask t'me! But in no way did I ever mean to insinuate that you or even any of these fine people were our enemies. Hey, I'm no vegetarian myself! In this world of demons y'gotta be able t'grasp the fact that the person who kills you is your enemy, and everyone else is just a friend you haven't met!"
She seemed a little bit nervous to be speaking independently. Asking her to phrase something in her own words might have put her off. He should choose the person best suited to talk to him, and then talk to them as an individual.
Let's see.... The half-naked monster-man was probably not a good bet, seeing as he might choose to make a violin out of Trandar if he spoke out of turn. The girl had kicked him, which, while slightly arousing, might not make for a good conversation partner. The broken-nosed guy might be a good bet, seeing as he might still be a little bit intimidated by Trandar....
Oh, what they hey......
"Alright, just shout this one out, in my own words or however you please, put a speaker tag or something on there if you wish. Wait, just say this:
I, Trandar Bandytail of the Tufted Ear Clan, of the Rufus Felidae Demons, the cat bloke with the cool markings would speak with one of you: Whoever wishes to take such an opportunity should step forward."

Jarrah liked his peace and quiet, and he liked this forest. And he especially liked times like this where he could lean back into the trunk of the great tree that served for his shelter and light his pipe, contemplating how the light shifted through the treetops while strips of cured rabbit meat dried on the nearby branches and a variety of roots cooked slowly on the hot coals near his feet. The Walker leaned down, sniffing delicately at his meal to see how far along it was.
Huh. That was odd. Now what was that smell? He removed the pipe and heaved himself to his feet, straining his senses to figure out where it was coming from.
Why, that smelled like pork. But no travellers had passed this way, and there were no wild boar in these woods, as far as he knew. The village was a great ways off for him to be smelling anything they were cooking, and besides, with how the average villager looked, they must certainly frown on eating...
Oh. Oh dear. Jarrah quickly gathered the few possesions he had and clipped his pipe to his belt before setting out for the village as fast as possible. Something was dreadfully wrong.
He had only been to the village a few times since he had settled in the area. And each of those times had been short visits to trade game and trinkets for tabacco or any other little luxuries he fancied. But he held no malice for the townsfolk themselves. They were good, simple creatures, if rather unhygenic and easily frightened. And he was certain now - he could smell them burning.
It didn't take him long to reach the village, and he stopped on the outskirts, the hairs on his back raised. It was sickening. The charred bodies, the stench... this was no accident! What foul creature had caused this mess? He huffed and began picking his way through the streets, doubtful of finding any survivors.
But he did find some, on the edge of town opposite from where he had entered. They appeared to be talking about something, and not amiably. They were not villagers. If they weren't the cause of this... they may know who was.
So he loped over - almost silent, considering that the crackle of the fires that still burned covered most of the noise he was making. He walked out of the smoke right behind the group and loomed.
He was quite good at it.
At a massive eighteen feet tall, with long, powerful arms that reached the ground, an arched neck and a flat, impassive face, Jarrah could intimidate anybody. But he would wait for them to make the first move.

Krowin, Daxelore, and Trandar all gaped at the new comer.
"Wud id dat guy?" asked Krowin.
"Reinforcements?" suggested Daxelore.
"Wud do we do?" asked Krowin
"Kill it" Daxelore answered.
Krowin had far less confidence than Daxelore in this. Rehiro, Zokoren, and Shan were unavailable at the moment, effectively putting Team Rehiro at half power. The last creature they had come to blows with, Sprinter, had taken out Zokoren and Daxelore, although Daxelore's recovery had been quick, and if this creature had any surprises for them, it might spell trouble, especially since it had the jump on them and had decided to make this confrontation. It obviously had some confidence. If it were an average forest brute, then it wouldn't matter, but he had no confidence in his own, or in Daxelore's brain, they being the decidedly two stupidest members of Team Rehiro. He would feel better if Sham would instruct them.
"Wed, I ged Shab be id cobbad ride dow. Wud should we do Shab?" Krowin asked
"Oh, come one. We don't need to be instructed to kill a little pest like this, do we?" Daxelore asked. Had he full confidence that he wouldn't screw something up, he would have charged straight forward. He was normally a pretty confident guy, too. All this strategic placement, translating, and dimensional hopping had made him scared though, that he might not be seeing the whole picture. People ridiculed Krowin as being the stupidest member of Team Rehiro, but he himself knew it to be a lie. People just didn't like Krowin. In reality it was he, Daxelore who was the stupidest, and he was painfully aware that he might screw something up by acting rash. On the other hand, his dignity had been hurt by losing that fight, and he wanted a chance to redeem himself. His thirst for blood was strong, and every instinct made him want to go on the attack "I've got strength more than twice the average dragon, I've fought whole armies of Treeborn" he said, trying to reassure himself "I eat guys like this for breakfast. I can easily take him. Come on, I don't need any orders." His neck stretched out like a snake, and he shot flames out of his mouth at the creatures feet. In his mind, he wasn't going on the attack, just trying to feel out the attitude of this creature, but in reality, his true subconscious intention was for the creature to become provoked and initiate battle.

Serin cringed away, and scooted closer to the edge of the little clearing left from the fire. Her eyes darted from the newcomer to the firebreather and back again, scared. Inwardly, though, she was pleased. Hopefully, this newcomer might provide a distraction to allow her to escape... or he even might be able to defeat their captors altogether. Even taking out one or two would be good. Her eyes had flickered over Shar-lei as she was watching the two duelists, and she was pleased to see that the horse was standing perfectly still, not calm, but still not breaking her training. I'm glad I taught Shar-lei those commands... They will come in handy soon, she thought as she calculated a way to escape. Ever the actress, there was still nothing but fear showing on her face and in her body language.

The ground trembled and shook, and then, the whole clearing lifted into the sky. Earth spilled over the sides of a giant, hidden creature living beneath what used to be the city of pig people. It's head emerged from the forest, trees growing from it's scalp. It stood on four, massive cloven hooves made of stone. It had three tales, which, as they met air, burst into flames at the tips. It had a mane, and huge tusks.
Team Rehiro, Team Trandar, Jarrah, and Riva now stood upon the back of one massive boar god.
"Who did this to my people?!"
It boomed in clear English.

Sham's eyes went wide at the loud noise. She quickly narrowed them again and shouted.
"We can take this one, guys! Daxelore, attack it's face and eyes, it should be more vulnerable there!"
She yanked the Cobra from it's sheath, shooting a glance at Krowin.
"You, Krowin, do whatever you can, try to break it's tusks and hooves, those seem to be it's main weapons... Although... The tails might be a problem, too..!"
She looked back at the boar and flicked her wrist, shooting the Cobra's open mouth at the prickly skin on it's neck. Once she got a good bite, she'd try using her stun poison, this boar god might be of some use later.

Daxelore took to the challenge immediately. Lifting himself into the air, his neck prolonged, he flew to challenge the boar god face to face. Compared to the boars massive girth, Daxelore looked like a fly. He took in a large breath and blew a giant fireball, far larger than himself.
Krowin leaped into action. Picking up his pot of wires, his robots activated and started shooting into the boars flesh, with his free hand he created a ball of electrical current and slammed it into the massive pig, and for good measure he blew his own fire from his mouth.
"Oh, really" Trandar said out loud "you'd think they would try talking before they started taking on such a large creature, especially since they just got owned by Sprinter."
A hair from the boar's main, thick as a rope, sprang forward and grappled Krowin around the waste. The boar shook it's massive head and smashed one of it's tusks into Daxelore.
With strength that shocked Trandar, having only seen the fight between him and Sprinter, Daxelore grappled the huge tusk and threw the boars head sideways "What kind of loser punk do you think I am?!" Daxelore shouted "I lost one fight, but I vow I won't ever lose again!" The claws on his right hand grew longer, and he flew with the speed of a diving peregrine falcon into the boars eye, shoving the clawed fist into his stone pupil. The boar gave a tremendous roar.
Trandar thought to himself. The boar was reacting to pain. Attacking whatever person was in the location that it felt pain come from. If the boar won, there might be a chance to take down at least one more of these guys.
If he could make it look like that passed out guy had done the hurting.... But the psychic. She claimed to be neutral, but maybe a distraction? And for snake girl, too.
He had a knife at his belt. Serin had proved to be an adequate fighter. Glen had... Done something to the dragon guy. If he had been responsible for defeating that freaky guy who was wailing on the boar right now, then he was probably the strongest member in the group. Glen was free, Pulk was free, Serin's hands were bound, and so were his, and his ankles, and he was facing face down in the living earth.
If he could get Glen or Pulk to use the knife to free him and Serin, then they could provide distraction for snake girl and Riva while somebody else put the knife in the hand of the passed out guy and stabbed the boar.
Snake girl was irritatingly attentive though, and he didn't trust Riva to be as weak as she implied. They'd be caught if they were up to suspicious action, surely, and if they were in a weak spot, they would be defeated. Snake girl was not going on the offensive either. She seemed to be instructing, and guarding them.
Oh, if only he was loose! But he wasn't.
"Psshhht, Glen!" he whispered, not knowing what else to do "how quick do you think you can get me out of this rope binding me? I got a knife at my side, if you want to use that."

Serin bought her bound hands to her mouth and quickly bit through the ropes binding them. With a sharp whistle, she summoned Sharlei to come close. Grabbing one of her daggers from the saddlebags, she swiftly cut through the ropes binding Trandar, then pulled him to his feet. She had decided that the time for subterfuge was over.
"Now is our chance to escape, while they are distracted," she whispered hastily in Trandar's ear. Releasing him, she mounted expertly, ignoring the reins in favor of the signals she had taught her horse. Flipping her dagger expertly in her hand, she gently patted Shar's neck twice, signling her to be ready for combat.

Sham's eyes flicked to the cat man, Trandar... And that girl. They were free. Her first priority was the boar, though... They could always recapture a couple of stragglers, but a team member was something that was not so easily replaced. She unleashed her stun poison into the boar's veins, and quite a lot of it, too.

Trandar ran over to Zokoren, picked up his limp hand and put a knife in it. Then, with his hand over Zokorens, which held the hilt of the knife, he plunged it into the flesh of the boar. Then, springing into action immediately, he ran over to Serin and hopped on Sharlei. Sure enough, Zokorens body was grabbed up by hair tentacles, "the boar can't see us" Trandar told Serin, "it can only attack the places it feels pain."
Krowin's golems lifted their rifles and opened fire on the hair rope, which burned away, only be replaced by more.
The hair tentacles moved to attack the head of Cobra, but they had trouble grasping something so small.

Glen hadn't moved much since this had begun, but to back away from all present. Trandar had asked for help- but the vampy-girl had done so before Glen had really considered. Oh well- the object of the present game was to escape- hopefully with the other critters still living. He hadn't reacted at all when the... Really, really, really REALLY tall thing had arrived- if he stayed inconspicuous, as he had a knack for, things would relax a bit. Then, the boar-demon had arrived, and he had decided that inconspicuous was definately the way to go. If his allies and he could move out while the fight kept on going... He didn't like the look of things at all- not much made sense at the moment. So he followed the secondary law that he had been taught as a whelp.
He scrambled up to Trandar and Serin, quick as you please, and said, in his gutteral and scratchy voice, "We scarperin'?"

Jarrah shook his paw, hitting it against the ground to put the flames out. He stood stock-still as the fight progressed, trying to sort out what was happening. Strange how something so big could be so easily forgotten. The little violent beasties. They were the cause of all this, he was sure. And that strange group, all tied up... looked like they were trying to escape. He was down with that.
Finally shifting his considerable bulk into action, he placed his body between the fight and the escapees. Bending his long neck down so his face was close to the horse and three homids, he smiled in a way that he hoped was non-threatening. "If you're looking for an out, I'll cover ya. Bad business, this."

Trandar totally got where Jarrah was coming from, and grinning, said "Yeah, I think we're about tired of dealing with these guys. Not that it wasn't fun while it lasted... Yeah, we're scarperin' Glen. Can somebody get Pulk?"
Then, as they all traveled rapidly down the back of the boar to what looked like an impossible leap to the ground which would would probably lead them to death, Trandar began to sing.... "On the road again.... Just can't wait to get on the road again.... Something, something have never before been..... Something road again...."
Zokoren, tied up with hair ropes was thrusted through the air toward the mouth of the boar. As he plummeted toward a strange blue abyss, Daxelore ripped himself free and tore his way over to rescue his ally, and then Krowin, who also had been overwhelmed.
"Leave me the boar Sham! I can take it! You go after the prisoners!"
There were wolves capable of carrying Sham, but they were at the base of the boar.

Sham jerked the Cobra out of the boar's fleshy neck. It came back to the base with a loud clank. She turned and ran towards the wolves, stumbling a bit. She'd been channeling too much poison, she was a little woozy. She leaped on the back of one of the wolves, a strong-looking one, and ordered it after the prisoners. She shook her head to clear it, then pulled a few explosives out of her bag.

((Somebody is gonna need to help me brainstorm soon. Im less professional at being a GM then I let on. I think I was a better player, being manipulated by the environment, and getting all angsty about it and whatnot))
The boars great size did not in itself give him the advantage of a stronger spirit, although his status gave him some resilience to Sham's poison. Nonetheless, he was feeling a greater effect from the spiritual poison then he was from any physical attack thus far, even though the bat creature dominated all frontal attacks.
