Yup! What a nifto neaty power! Suka can use leaves to do it, but her tail and/or ears still stick out, since she's only half >_<

Of course, even a full kitsune isn't flawless at it. They will reveal their true forms in reflections, and more than once one has been spotted with it's tail out (usually at an inopportune time, like in bed ^^). In some legends, they may also have a flame that appears above their head every now and then.... (Sorry, Daybreak went through the OMG I <3 KITSUNE! phase a while back, and now she knows all sort of useless stuff).

Melody is pretty good at it, but she loses control over some of her more powerful forms. if there are any big fights in the roleplay, you'll see what happens.

In big fights, Suka will use her Katana, and maybe a couple of little illusions.... Or her claws.

Where did Suka learn her illusions?
If Viktor gets into a fight, he has two major reactions: the first is to screech like a banshee and dive under the nearest log or rock, or preferably a laundry basket if there is one in handy.

Uh... what's the second?
Depending on the fight, Dy will either go for intimidation (usually works on bullies and jerks) or attempting to compromise. He'll break out the axe when he's pushed, though, and it's not pretty.

On this subject, Tai tends to play a defensive game against the unknown, and extremely offensive (and messy) game against the known. He's a strong believer in 'the best defense is a good offense'. He's also not much for clever strategy or anything like that. He'll just hit it head-on with his most powerful moves right from the start. What he doesn't realise is how good a defensive tactitian he could be, due to his small size and ability to change shape. Think of him like this: if he was in a fighting game, he'd be the button-masher guy who doesn't let up on the special combo button but never uses the guard button. (He is based off me, after all.)
On the other note, I've had a brainstorm. Imps are notorious for trickery and are attracted to gatherings of intelligent creatures. The demon market will be a good place to meet him. As the creator, Daybreak, think you can work in a large commotion upon arriving there? Someone or something nicking sweets, I imagine. (Remember, imps'll do anything for sugar.) Tai also doesn't set much store for rules, and basically lives by this principle: Want, take, have.

So, are we in the market place now, or are we still just outside it?

Uhm... we'll be inside just as soon as everyone makes a "follows Dylan" post!
I don't like to dictate where we go, but I'm trying to open up an opportunity for the other people who want to join. It's no fun for them if they have to hang around when we're just standing outside the marketplace where they'll show up!
Uh... did that make sense?

yep. well, Mel's with Dylan, and coal is riding on Viktor's shoulder, so i guess it's just Scare and Shippo who we're waiting on, since Letti is also with Dylan.

Suka learned how to do magic from hard work. It took her years of training ^^
Suka is having fun pretending to be a demon!

Can I insert a NPC character as soon as they reach the market, as a method of introduction to my character?

Yeah, im gonna need to use a butcher for my characters introduction. Do I have to let Daybreak control him or do I? Hes just a very temporary character.

Anyone who needs to use an NPC for their intro go right ahead! They'll be kinda "free control" characters, and I'll get rid of them when they're no longer needed.

All right, I know just what I'll do. Just get them in front of a cart or stand of sweets (or any kind of food), and I'll take care of the rest.

Ah, poor vegitarian Melody. oh, when Melody passes out or sleeps, she reverts back to her normal form, which is why she got off of Dylan in such a hurry when she smelled the dead chicken. if she has some warning, the smell off meat won't make her sick, as long as she isn't right next to it. and, Melly carries her food in her magicked pockets.

That's some sensitive vegetarianism... I have a few vegetarian characters (by biology, not choice), but they don't do anything more than throw up when they eat not-plants.

eh, it's a fairy thing. it's part a compulsion to heal it (not that she could, she just wants to try, which could end up killing her) and part sympathy for the dead animal that stems from her being able to turn into it.
Edit: this does not bother her when she is fighting, but when the fighting is over, if there is someone or something dead, she has to get away from it for a while.

The candy cart keeper is inspired by modeled after copied from ripped off of countless NPCs in adventure games and RPGs. Y'know, the ones that show up early in your quest, invoke your help for some bizarre task, and give you a weird or stupid reward. =3 They only require you to say yes to explain themselves.

Tai's not always this fast (but is often this mischievous). He's just moving at a high rate to pull pranks successfully. In his normal state, he's only as fast as an extremely athletic and high-strung cat who you have sneaked up on and shouted 'BOO!' He is often this mischievous, which means he's gonna have to make a lot of arguments to get them to take him along--or just sneak along and show up unexpectedly...

would a wolf be able to smell him? to track him?
|

|
Post by DarkfireTaimatsu on Jan 23, 2006 14:33:35 GMT -5
Sure would. He's just moving very fast, and bending the light around him, effectively making himself near invisible. He just had to stop for a moment to stick that sucker on, so he was made visible for a second.

I should also mention that imps have an unknown like for sitting on people's heads, which Dylan is probably about to discover. No one knows quite why, but they like it there. They make a little nest in the hair, and just sit. They're hard to shake off, too. Some suspect it's the height that they like, as normally, they'd see things from just above most people's ankles.

Ah. So now Dy's serving as an imp-nest. Ah well, it's not like his hair's ever neat, anyway.
