*Bangs head* How about an official bio section onsite? And maybe an art section, desktops?

indeed, but I have to wait til the site is fully functional again (I'm getting a tad impatient with it lately I admit, I've lost track of like a bazillion comics I read because the portals are gone, I can't add buttons because the site editor is disabled, and still no word of what point in progress we are at besides the redesign and listing!) Once it is back up though I'll try to get as much of that in gear as I can. I'm kinda bad a pinups and such for desktops I admit, so suggestions are welcome in that regard (posing is hard for me to get down on paper sometimes)
And I'll try and get some pirate-Charby material in here as well, I might post the things I did for the publisher (ultimately I decided on another storyline for that though) if all else fails I have the ever-so-crappy old stuff in my folder I could scan too ^_^

Hm. This seems like as good a place as any....
I think we should have Mannick's Adventures in Dream-Land! Inspired, of course, by the comic where Mannick tries to relate to Tony using his hat... what if he got his hand on it and accidentally ended up in everyone's dreams? I think it would make an amusing side-story to counteract some of the more serious arcs. Not that I'm not enjoying the current story, of course! =^^=
I want to see where the whole Mye love dodecahedron will go, so I won't suggest giving Tony (or anyone else involved) a girlfriend. However, he is lonely and needs someone to hang out with and talk to outside the house. Hey, Charby has Vic (when they're not fighting) and Kavonn has Phineas's mom so...
Or just have more comics with Tony sleeping. He's cute like that.

I've used quite a few of your pictures for desktops, Amy. As long as they're square, they work fine, although they get a little less sharp. So all you'd have to do is resize them....I think....to the common resolutions. (1024 by 768, 800 by 600)

Well you definetly need a pirate character to come up someday. Im thinking of some undead skelletal pirate from a sunken ship, looking for treasures and going ARR all the time. The link with Charby's past is obvious, it could make an interesting substory. But maybe he never met Charby on his lifetime, and that they arnt related in any way (other than both being ex-pirates). Or maybe he COULD be related to Charby, but hiding it (he is unreckonizable, and remembering how harsh Charby's life was on the ship, chose not to ever bring the subject up.) Think of the feel that would make, if they end up becoming very good friends, with the truth still hidden, and then, at the worst possible moment, the truth unfolds; And the pirate guy actually was one of Charby's worst ship"mates", that used to beat him up all the time. (But maybe the afterlife changed him alot psychologically).
You could take it differently of course, and that the pirate guy does not remember Charby, but Charby does remember him (because of something he is wearing maybe, like some amulet, or his hat or whatever). Would he try to take his revenge? Or would he rather try and ignore the past, seeing as he changed so much... And then, the pirate guy could suddenly remember... and become a nemesis of sorts.
Now his powers or whatnot. I dont know. Maybe he could be stuck in this undead form because of some pirate-y curse, that could also have a few upsides.

I like the piraty idea, but I think that Charby's first reaction would be to kill the pirate violently in as many ways as possible....

Yeah, I would think that Charby would beat up any pirate he set eyes on. Heheh, Charby beating up Jack Sparrow... That would be hilarious if he wasn't so hawt... *devours with eyes* Or better/worse yet, the Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride... Or the Pirates of Penzanz(sp???)!!!! *rolls over laughing and crying at the same time*

Oh, that would be interesting. Then they'd have to find another place that was near the city, had a water source, lots of shelter from the sun, and a heck lot of room for everyone living in it. That would be difficult...

reviving this topic cuz I don't wanna take up any extra room making a new topic!
I think there should be some demonic (or were) kangaroo at some point; if there isn't one already. Like some nutty one that had been trained to box at the sound of a bell. Because kangaroos can be really scary; especially if they're trying to kill you. (ever see what happened to that poor guy that had been feeding one? Needed many, many stitches!)

Here's an idea that popped into my mind, fully formed. Unfortunately, I strongly feel it really only can be done justice in motion, animated or filmed. It lasts all of one second and looks like the closing scene of a Charby movie trailer.
I don't feel confident trying to draw / animate it myself, so I'll do my best to describe it to y'all, for what it's worth.
The setting is dark and pea-soup foggy. No features of the scenery are visible. Charby is standing tall on the roof of a speeding car, facing backwards at the viewer, as the car, engine roaring, races away into the mist. He's brandishing both his hooks, his cape is whipping in the wind, and he's laughing his head off. He's looking his most demonic, with his fangs on full display. The hooks, and maybe his clothes too, are befouled with blood / dark liquid, but he does not have any on his mouth (it might obscure his teeth). He and the car quickly fade and vanish into the fog, which is swirling from the passage of the car through it. His laugh is still heard after he and the car are no longer visible, but not for very long. The scene only lasts a second, remember?
The car-in-the-fog bit would also work for Kavonn, though maybe not as powerfully. He would be standing silent and stone-faced on top of the car as it sped off, facing the left-behind viewer, as Charby did above. He would have his staff in one hand and his hat in the other, and his hair would be retracting from whatever tendril-y job it had done near (or to) the viewer. I visualize the swirls in the fog repeating the curls in his hair-tentacles, or vice versa. He moves to put his hat back on as he is lost from view.
If I had the skills and the tech... alas...

Well, I could make a few random characters or whatever. I apologize my suggestions are too similar to anyone posting before me. I just couldn't bring myself to read though all of them as it would take a fair amount of time. By the by, I don't particularly care about the names of the characters, as such I will leave them blank.
Scarecrow- Originally starting as nothing more than a normal scarecrow in the earlier periods of America's settlement he was given life to more effectively defend the farm against not only animals, but also the from the then aggressive Natives. Since then the farm has long since disappeared and he has taken to a life of wandering and performing odd jobs. He is quiet (don't do alot of talking when scaring birds) and deeply introspective. In planning and conversation he tends to take the long view of things and doesn't get ruffled when things don't turn out as expected.
Frankenstein Monster- He was brought to life so that his "Father" could thumb his nose at the rest of the scientific community. Having proven that "Neo-Necromancy" was possible, his creator turned his attention to other scientific endeavors and soon forgot about his "son." Since then the automaton has moved on and currently resides in the Kellwood forest. Being a blank slate he readily copies the personalities of anyone he meets, mixing the traits with those he has already copied. He has a strong understanding of mechanics and biology and can often be found repairing worn-out parts of his body.
In the unlikely event that these characters catch the attention of story writers, just PM as I have a short attention span and will probably have fogotten I posted in here.
Well, after starting to write about this I suddenly got a creative urge so I'll present a brand new demon! (Unless someone has actually had the idea before, in which case I have psychically plagarized them!)
Liberomo (Bookies) History- Historians believe that the Liberomo were originally created as familiars to guard the spellbooks and libraries of mages millenia ago. Since then they have moved on, but continue protecting any large stores of books they come across. They are often mistaken as ghosts due to their floating abilities and tendency to populate quiet areas, such as libraries. Physiology- The Liberomo are humanoid in appearance. Skin color is dependent on the book from which they were born, giving most of them color ranging from white to yellow, although a small minority of other colors exist. Their skin itself is a papery substance, with a consistancy of cardboard. They lack any internal organs and are mostly solid. They do possess a few thin tubes which store ink, the Liberomo's blood. Liberomo have no need to eat or sleep, although they must draw substance from books (see Powers.) Despite the fact that a Liberomo may be masculine or feminine in appearance, they lack any sexual organs and reproduce asexually. One unusual fact about the Liberomo is that it's tongue is actually an ink brush. The average Liberomo weighs between 20 and 40lbs. Mentality- Liberomo are the guardians of the written word, from the time they are born they have an instinictive need to prevent the destruction of books. Individual Liberomo vary from subject to subject, although their personality is heavily influenced by the subject which they favor. Liberomo who have a taste for Engineering books tend to be exact and direct individuals, while one who favors Romance novels would be prone to infatuations and drama. Regardless of their tastes, most Liberomo are soft-spoken creatures (except Adventure fans.) These creatures often pick up hobbies based on their topic of choice, Historian Liberomo may collect old artifacts, while Instruction Manual Liberomo build things. Liberomo do occasionally bond with non-Liberomo, mostly those with sharp minds and sharing interests in their favorite topics. Life as a Liberomo- Liberomo are born in a process that is yet to be fully understood. Occasionally when a Liberomo has fed off a book (see Powers) a new Liberomo will be spawned from the book a week later. Upon emerging the creature is fully grown physically, although possessing only a rudimentary personality and understanding of language. As time progresses, they develop a personality influences by the books that they consume. Though a Liberomo can consume food they draw no sustenance from it, and soon after they tend to regurgitate the meal, outside the presence of polite company. Liberomo never eat watery foods or drink. The average Liberomo can live as long as 300 years. Powers- Liberomo possess a few unusual powers granted to them from their time spent as familiars. Levitation- The Liberomo are natural flyers, many of which go their entire lives without ever touching the ground. Because of this Liberomo almost never wear shoes. Book Feeding- While the Liberomo never need to eat or sleep, they do need to draw substance from books at least once every 3 or 4 days. They do this by possessing a piece of writing containing at least 1000 words, which can be in any language. After reading a book in this manner, a Liberomo is sated. For reasons unknown, they cannot feed again on the same book, though they may still possess it. Cannibalize- If a Liberomo is seriously injured, they may cannibalize a piece of writing containing at least 1000 words, destroying the writing in the process to, to heal their injures. they are loathe to do so and resort to it only under dire circumstance. Weaknesses- The Liberomo possess a deathly fear of fire and water, and will flee at the sight of it. Because of their papery constitution, both water and fire can kill the creature. Tearing is painful and can be deadly, but is the easiest damage to repair (usually using an adhesive like glue.) If a book possessed by a Liberomo is destroyed, the Liberomo inside is also killed.

Mmm Delicious Plot Ideas...
Mannick's belly goes crazy and there are hats everywhere, I keep thinking of this from the earlier posts, it's crazy like the inside of one of those balloon fortresses, and the hats look like everyone who's been seen in the comic so far.
People find the Cabin chaos ensues as they mistake Daray as a single father with many children. Meanwhile Vic tries to stop the missing people's search party from "Disappearing" as the media follows the search party's trail.
Oh and I thought I'd be cute if we just find a shot of someone wandering in the day and finding Tony sitting on someone's chest saying how he couldn't fall asleep and starts acting all nostalgic.
An "alternate" universe in which everyone who is demonic is human and vice versa. possibly is kept in Kavonn's hat?

A simple enough suggestion, but why not have a contest for the forum members to appear as guest characters?

Well now... actual plot ideas are almost certainly out of the question, seeing as the plot's been figured out and all that jazz. However, I think that one thing that could be done is flashbacks. There are quite a few plotlines and pages I've not seen or that haven't been used that would, most likely, not fit current continuity. I'd love to see more pirate days type stuff, but those stories might not actually have much meat on them, so to speak. It would depend on what his life was actually like. But, although the current story is the focus, I think tales of Charby's childhood could be done, if used carefully. I remember getting annoyed at some TV shows for excessive flashbacks. But, it would much more likely, fit better as a bonus book thing (Like ABitTH). Ideally (purely from a fan's point of view) it could be a separate webcomic. CTV bonus material. Of course, that's laughably unlikely. Aside from that, all the unused material interests me, no matter how poor the art may have been. If I cared that much, I wouldn't have made it past the old archives to current date. And, honestly, when I found CTV, art was a crucial deciding factor in webcomics, but the humor, characters and story made it entirely irrelevant.
So... summary: CTV needs more CTV... I guess? XD
