I tried to find it. "Ser" is a unit of weight used in India.
Aside from this one, another meaning would mean alternate spelling.
And by this I mean "seer", as one example, can be spelled as "ser."

My own dialect changes a little sometimes. oft to my surprise.
From British TV, I've picked up some idioms and ways of speaking.
It would seem to me that my parlance is altered by my surroundings.
